Chapter Two

Jeon Jung Kook POV

On the same day :

"Hey, Jungkook, did you hear? That bad boy ditched school today as well!," Hoseok informed excitedly.

"I don't care...," I muttered casually as I ran my hand through my black hair.

Jung Hoseok has been my best friend since kindergarten. I'm glad that I have him by my side. But there are some things that even I can't tell him...

Family problems...My father's business isn't going well. He's on the verge of going bankrupt.
My mother, well, when she heard about it, she ran away with some other cheap man.

I never thought she would do something like that....

"What's wrong? Why do you look so morbid?," Hoseok asked worriedly.

"It's nothing," I said giving him a fake smile.

If there was anything I could do for my father and to restore his honor, I wouldn't hesitate to do it!

I stood up and walked over to the window. Hoseok followed behind me.

"Hey! Check it out!," Hoseok pointed out with a smirk. I followed his gaze.

A tall boy with messy, orange hair and a lean figure was walking on the streets. He had his hands shoved deep inside his jeans pocket. He walked proudly with his face held up high.

That alien duck face....

I frowned while Hoseok chuckled sarcastically.

My senior and the school's bad boy was ditching school as usual. Nothing surprising.

"Look at that jerk enjoying his life!," Hoseok said shaking his head.

"What do you mean enjoying? He's ruining his life!," I corrected and Hoseok agreed.

Kim Tae Hyung, the bad boy was rich, so it didn't even mattered if he attended school. Because of all that money, and his father being a respected businessman, he could get into any school he wanted.

Unlike me....

Soon it was lunch break. As I sat down at my table along with Hoseok, I couldn't help but notice a group of seniors shouting and laughing at their table.

As expected from Kim Tae Hyung's friends....Well, at least they come to school even if it isn't to study.

"Are they drunk or what!?," Hoseok muttered in an annoyed tone.

I shrugged. "What a great way to destroy someone's silence...," I said sarcastically.

Hoseok turned to me with a curious look. I gave him a What is it? look.

"You've been doing the sarcasm too much lately. Tell me, what's wrong?," Hoseok asked with pleading eyes.

His puppy eyes made me want to reveal everything.

As much as I wanted to tell him, I just couldn't...

"It's really nothing...," I said with a fake smile.

Hoseok pouted angrily as he took a bite of the cheese pizza.

I chuckled. He looked really cute when he pouted.

Soon school was over. After so many days, my father was coming to pick me up.

After saying goodbye to my best friend, I waited eagerly by the gate for my father to show up.

From the distance I spotted a black Volvo speed up to the gate. I smiled as I waved happily. I bet I looked like an excited little child.

The Volvo stopped by me. The window slid down, revealing my charming father.
It was a shame my mother left him.

"Appa!," I greeted happily.

"Jungkook! Come on! Get in!," my father told me happily. Somehow he looked overly happy today.

I nodded. I opened the car door and got in the front seat. My father drove the car away, humming a song.

"So, how was school?," my father asked.

"Um...good...," I replied.

"Oh," my father said and he started humming again.

"How was your day?," I asked curiously.

"Great! Jungkook, as of today, my problems will disappear!," my father declared happily.

I smiled when he said that. I was happy for him. Finally the dreadful dark days will be gone.

"I sealed a deal with my best friend, Mr. Kim. He said he'll support me financially!," my father informed excitedly.

"Really!? I would love to meet Mr. Kim and thank him!," I said happily and honestly.

My father suddenly went still. He became nervous. He was sweating now.
I sensed something was wrong.

Maybe Mr. Kim was asking for more money from my father or maybe he wanted my father to join the Mafia.

All sorts of thoughts went through me. I couldn't decide.

"Jungkook, um...how should I say this?," my father hesitated. He didn't wanted to make eye contact with me.

I knew he was gonna ask for a favour from me. So I eagerly said,"Whatever it is, I'll do it for you, appa!"

My father felt relieved now. He smiled at me happily.

"Really!? So you wouldn't mind if you got married to Mr. Kim's child?," my father asked again.

My mouth fell open at that.

Marriage? I'm just 16...
...But if it's for my father's honor, then...

"Sure. I'll get married...," I hesitated.

"Great! I love you, son! Thank you for all your sacrifices!," my father said as tears filled his eyes.

"It's okay...," I said with a smile as I looked at him.

After so many months, he looks so happy. I can't say no to his happiness.

"So, the Kim family invited us for dinner tonight," my father informed.

I stared out the window. "Okay...," I said. I can't believe I'm gonna meet my bride so fast.

"I can't wait for you to meet your groom!," my father said happily.

My eyes widened in shock when I heard that. Is there something blocking my ears?

"Groom?," I repeated as I turned to my father.

"Yes! Your groom! You have to meet him! He's a stunner!," my father said excitedly.

I turned to look out the window again. All words had left me dry.
I was soulless now.

Get married? Fine! But to a guy - uh no!

Congratulations! You just turned your straight son into a gay!
