Chapter Twenty One
Jeon Jung Kook POV
After so many months, I came back to my house. While my father was taking out my suitcase from the car, I looked around; nothing had changed.
The house was same as always; eerily silent.
"Jungkook, is it you?"
I froze in shock.
That voice...Her voice...
My heart beat sped up. I waited for her anxiously; and after years I'm finally gonna see her. I could hear her footsteps approaching the living room door.
I wanted to ask her all the questions in my mind - did she miss me like I missed her; did she pray for me like I prayed for her; did she love me like I loved her...
"Jungkook ~ ," her sweet voice called again.
There she stood; my eternally beautiful mother. She looked the same since I had last seen her; pretty, graceful, serene and happy.
"Omma...," I murmured.
My mother smiled sweetly at me; tears forming in her brown glass-bead eyes.
She rushed up to me and embraced me into her loving arms. How long had I waited for this...for her to come back...
"Jungkook, my son, I missed you so much!," my mother spoke in sobs as she tightened her hug around me.
"I...missed you a lot too...," I stuttered as I hugged her back. I buried my face deep inside her blouse and cried; I couldn't hold back my tears any longer.
My mother had finally came back to me.
Kim Tae Hyung POV
I laid down on my bed with closed eyes. I was trying to go to sleep, but the loneliness killed me.
I had told Jungkook to go back to meet his mother and spend some time with her.
I just hope he doesn't decides to stay there forever.
I reached out for the empty space beside me.
I sighed.
I miss him so much already.
Jeon Jung Kook POV
I sat down on my seat next to my father; while my mother served us our dinner.
After so many years I'm finally gonna taste her homemade food again.
"Start eating, Jungkook...," my mother with a smile as she sat down across from me.
I could sense some awkwardness between my parents, but I didn't cared as long as they were together.
I took a bite of the food, and chewed slowly; all the juices just bursted in my mouth.
I swallowed down the food.
"How is it?," my mother asked curiously.
"Great!," I said smiling; glad to know that my mother still hadn't lost her cooking touch.
My mother smiled back at me.
And then I remembered about Taehyung; about that little annoying guy.
Had he eaten his dinner?
I took out my cellphone and quickly texted him.
Have you eaten yet?
After a few seconds, I received his message.
No.
I stood up from my seat in a jolt as I stared at the reply on my cell phone screen.
He hasn't eaten anything and he doesn't knows how to cook as well.
"What's wrong?," my father asked me.
"I have to go. My friend's in trouble," I murmured quickly as I left my seat.
"You're not allowed to leave at this hour!," my mother ordered in a shout.
"But, Omma....," I hesitated as I looked at her with pleading eyes.
If I don't go, Taehyung will remain hungry.
"I'm sorry. Now sit back down! Your food's getting cold," my mother said firmly.
I turned to my father for help but he averted his gaze from me.
Feeling disappointed, I sat back down on my seat. All I could think of was Taehyung and his growling tummy.
Kim Tae Hyung POV
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Could it be Jungkook? He came back just because I told him I haven't eaten yet.
Oh, my Jungkook!
I smiled happily as I got out of bed. "Jungkook ~ ," I sang excitedly as I dashed off to the front door.
Jungkook is such a cutie!
I opened the door with a big teeth-showing smile; but when I saw the person standing there, my smile disappeared into an annoyed scowl.
"You're not a cutie...," I frowned.
"Excuse me?," Seokjin muttered, feeling offended by my comment.
"Why are you here?," I asked.
"Jungkook told me to come over and make dinner for you. Now move!," Seokjin muttered as he pushed me aside and walked inside my apartment.
I gritted my teeth in frustration.
Well...it's only for food...so...
Kim Seok Jin POV
Chop! Chop! Chop!
With hand movements of a chef, I wiped away the stinging tears as I chopped the onion.
I suddenly thought about Namjoon.
I let out a slight chuckle as I remembered the funny moments spent I with him.
"Are you running a drama in your head?," Taehyung spoke as he appeared at the front door.
I jumped in surprise that I nearly stabbed myself. I turned to Taehyung with a scowl.
"I'm hungry. Hurry up!," Taehyung ordered blankly and he left.
I bit my lip in anger.
I feel like stabbing this stupid alien! If wasn't for Jungkook, you would be dead by now.
Kim Tae Hyung POV
I examined the delicious food kept in front of me. I picked up a spoon and poked the food carefully. I was suspicious because Seokjin hated me.
Seokjin frowned. "What are you doing, huh?," he asked in frustration.
"Did you mix poison in mine?," I muttered with a suspicious glare.
Seokjin smacked me hard on my hard.
I groaned in pain.
Jeon Jung Kook POV
"Jungkook ~ ," a sweet voice called.
I shifted slightly with a groan when I felt someone caress my forehead.
"Wake up, Jungkook ~ ," the voice called.
My mother's voice...
My eyes shot open. I sat up straight as I stared at my mother who smiled back at me.
I thought it was just a dream that my mother came back; it wasn't.
My mother is really back.
"What is it?," my mother asked.
"Nothing!," I replied with a smile. I put my arms around her and tightly embraced her, "I'm just glad that you're back to me."
"And I won't leave now...," my mother promised as she hugged me back.
Ding ~ Dong~
The door bell rang. I heard my father talk over with the person.
And then my father called, "Jungkook! Taehyung's here! Come meet him!"
I blinked.
My mother let go of me. "Taehyung? Is he your friend?," she asked curiously.
I nodded with a fake smile.
Oh, right. She still didn't know about my engagement.
"I'll go meet him!," I said smiling brightly.
My mother nodded.
I got out of the bed and dashed out my room.

im Tae Hyung POV
I walked around the living room, looking at Jungkook's childhood pictures.
God! He is so cute!
"Taehyung!," Jungkook called.
I turned to him with a smile on my face. Jungkook smiled back at me.
"You woke up early today!," Jungkook teased as he walked up to me.
"Of course. I had to see you!," I said grinning as I put my arms around his waist; bringing him closer to me.
"Taehyung! Don't...," Jungkook gasped nervously. He smiled at me shyly.
"What?," I asked.
"My mother - ," Jungkook was saying but he was cut off mid-sentence; when suddenly a woman shouted, "What's going on in here?!"
In an impulse, Jungkook pushed me away from me. He stuttered as he turned to the door.
I followed his gaze.
Jungkook's mother stared at us in shock and anger.
