Roy's Point of View

It was Shane Haylock! Massive cheater! Knocking on the window! "Open the door Roy!" he says. I don't know what came over me but I couldn't take it anymore! I was about to open the door and go off on him but I never got around to it. I put the key in the ignition and drove away leaving him standing there.

3 months later

It's been 3 months since I left Shane standing in the driveway of the rental house of where we were honeymooning. (I kind of forgot where they went) I still see Rhane but I get him from Danny and drop him back off at Danny's too. I am currently at a bar waiting for Jason to come back from the bathroom.

*Flashback to 1 week after fight*

I was sitting at the bar ordering drinks and getting myself shit faced even though I knew that drinking wasn't the way to solve problems emotionally. "What's a gorgeous man like you doing at the bar getting drunk by himself?" he asks me. I turn around tears in my eyes to see who had been giving me the stupid pickup line. I look up to see a this tall man with cut and shaved brown hair that is slicked back and large brown eyes. He takes one look at me and his eyes widen and I expect him to run off but he doesn't! He does quite the opposite he sits right next to me and turns to face me. "What's wrong gorgeous?" he asks me. "It's a very long story!" I say. It takes me by surprise but I blame it on the liquor. I don't usually share personal information but hey this man is mysterious and I will never see him again after tonight so why not? "I've got time!" he says. He turns to the bartender and orders a Roman Coke and a shit of fireball. My favorite. After a while his drink arrives and he realizes that I'm not talking yet. "Would you like to go somewhere more private?" he asks me. I nod slightly and he grabs my hand and leads me to the back of the club. I recognize it because I've done gigs here before. It's the "dressing rooms". He opens the first one and let's me go in first then he follows closing and locking the door after himself. "So what's wrong gorgeous?" he asks again as he sits down next to me and sits his glass on the table next to him. I tell him everything and finish crying. He grabs me into a tight hug and even though he's a complete stranger I find myself holding him back even tighter. "Wow gorgeous I can't imagine goungthrough something like that! Much less coming out of it as strong as you are!" he says as I keep my grip on him not wanting to let go from his oddly comforting hug. "What do you say we get out of here?" he asks me. "I say yes and we leave. I wake up the next morning at his house in his arms.

*Flashback over*

Ever since that night we have kept contact and we have started dating. I filed for a divorce with Shane and I am awaiting the finalization to be completed to say that we are officially divorced.

Okay you guys this is the next chapter. It's something I just threw together as I was writing tbh! I write another chapter because I saw that I have a new reader who has read the first book and moved on to the sequel so I figured it was time to update anyway! Hope you enjoyed pearlet_15!
