|| Chapter 14 ||
The journey of Yashoda nandhan Keshava has started to Dwarka and at that time he goes down the memory lane thinking about his chan- nah!not yet. His Aakriti.
(*This chapter contains the childhood of Akriti. *)
Aakriti's age: 5 years old
Place: Vaikunth dham
A yagna was being done today in Pritvilok under the supervision of Brahmadev. So all the devi- devtas were eagerly getting ready to attend. Shesh naag too had come in his human form to attend the yagna. He was being very choosy with his clothes and was constantly irritating Devi Ksheera.
Seeing her thaatshree irritating her chotima, Akriti thought of helping her poor chotima. She then went behind ananthshesh and said, "Oh my god! Who is this chotima? Is he some gandharv from swarglok. Oh he is able to even fail those beautiful beings."
At this praise Ananth started blushing, " Putri you are now embarrassing me with your constant praises. I'm just your Tatshree"
"Are you Tatshree? You look so divine today... Uh-uh I mean you look divine everyday but you look exceptional today. Err.. yes yes! That's right. " she quickly covered and managed her words.
But this led to devi Ksheer Sagar laughing and ananth shesh fake glaring at her while she was showing her cute little innocent puppy eyes which could melt anyone... including the angry young man Lakshmana. And that's what it finally did, seeing her eyes he laughed, laughed so hard clutching his stomach that even Akriti showed her best smile.
All the Vaikunth vashis had reached Prithvilok where the yagna was being done. Seats were arranged for all the gods, goddesses, demigods, their vahaans and most importantly for the paramatmas.
A special seat was placed for Aakriti in between the chairs of Vaikunth family and Kailash family. The yagna was started by the grace of all Gods to bring peace and humanity.
During the midst of the yagna when all were totally immersed in it, Aakriti heard faint sobbing sounds coming from the other side of the river, near which the yagya was taking place. Not sure if she should follow it or not she started walking following her heart towards the sound.
She crossed the river through the bridge and walked a few miles before she reached a cave. She was not afraid to walk in and so she did. She walked in the cave to know that ut led to an opening on the other side.
She carefully came out of the other mouth of the cave trying not to hurt the climbers and creepers, plants and animals dwelling inside the cave.
She was surprised to see that it had led her to a waterfall before which there was a simple lake surrounded by various flowering plants planted so beautifully. It was like nature was at its zeal. But there was this unpleasant vibe there and a part of the lake felt like ot was black in colour and that specific are also was clouded by dark grey clouds ready to shower thunderstorms at whoever trys to disturb their creator.
She though warned by the nature to not go there, walked in the same direction and found a lady clad in saree in the darkest shade of black. Her back was facing Aakriti and by her hair one could say they were as long as the never ending ocean. Her hair was pitch black that it could match the clouds there. Her jewellery appeared to be in shades of black.
Everything about her was screaming evil but could one judge someone just because of their choice of color? Aakriti did not make the mistake to do so. She took a step towards by her tiny feet which were adorned by silver anklets. The sound of a single 'cham' in that eerily silent environment made the women's head snap towards her.
Aakriti wanted to confront and comfort her for the reason behind her tears but for a moment even she was stunned seeing the face before her but she after a moment gave her dazzling smile.
The lady's eyes were that of golden colour with darkness of a black hole in them while her nose was a cute button figure, her lips were plucked out though they appeared to be naturally thin.
If the shade of black would have been ignored then one may confuse her with Devi Lalshmi, for she was her sister Alakshmi.
Aakriti had obviously heard the story of samuthra Manthan, could feel nothing but remorse for the lady standing before her but she knew that she must admire her as she was one of the strongest woman even when everyone rejected to side her.
Aakriti did not see her as dirt to be thrown out but saw a mother in her. A mother who was just like her other mothers. Afterall she was her matula. Aakriti or Mayalekha as she was popularly known just bent down ignoring Devi Alakshmi's glare and touched her feet. This shocked the aforementioned person that why would the daughter of her sister, who is considered the goddess of prosperity touch her feet, of someone who was considered the sign of bad luck.
But Aakriti did not seem to think that as she asked," Won't you bless me Masvi?(Mausi in sanskrit)" Surely this girl over here was more talented with her words and than what she showed.
Still in a daze, Alakshmi blessed "Yashashvi bhava ! kritiman bhava!"
Aakriti also known as Nityamohini smiled a little and asked her for why she was here and the reason behind her tears.
"Oh so you are also here to mock me! I knew it! Afterall how could the daughter of my arch enemy come to me with peace offering" Alakshmi said and her eyes had already turned black.
"No..no Mavsi! How could I mock my matula? I just wanted to know the reason behind your precious tears flowing down your face" she said
"Huh..lies. All are just lies. You are also here to laugh and mock me just like everyone else. What was my fault huh? What was my fault that I like darkness more than others. Why is it that I'm blamed for all wrong doings? Why do gods, asurs, human and even animals look down at me for me wearing black"
The way she started speaking she was angry but by end she was sobbing. She stopped herself after asking these questions and wiped her tears forcefully out of her face. She then murmered "Enough! I won't face it anymore. When I have done nothing wrong. All will have to pay for what they have done to me"
Aakriti who was witnessing all this called her with her small hands but when Alakshmi did not budge she said, " Mavsi! Don't think of them. You are not at fault for your choices. You were also created by the Parmeshwar and you would also join the Paramatma like all others. If wearing black is considered evil then take my words MATA, 'from now on black would not be considered evil but the colour that wards off evil. It would be the colour that would adore the eyeline of each manushya, gandharv, dev and deviya' why would one consider it evil when they pray for the darkest of clouds to approach them when draught strikes. Mata! From today on you would also be prayed along in my prayers as my mata. Any devotee of mine won't get my darshan, if they don't respect you' and it's a promise"
Alakshmi was wonder struck at that, how could the daughter of Lakshmi afterall accept her, Alakshmi as her mother. Aakriti then as if realising something said," I can call you mata right?!"
Alakshmi smiled at her innocence as tears started brimming down her eyes. There was a golden light and Alakshmi's clothes turned pure white denoting the purity of her soul.
She fell on her feet and started weeping when Aakriti held her firmly and hugged her saying," you are my mother mata. And a mata place is always above me and not in my feet"
"But how could I pay for my behaviour that I was so rude to you when you only wanted to comfort me" Alakshmi said.
"Hmm..now that's a tricky question! Mm...why don't you pay me with a bowl of kesari. Mata says when you both were kids, you used to make the best kesari ever"
Alakshmi stroked her cheeks fondly and nodded. Her clothes then transformed to their original black colour as that was what suited her and what made her Alakshmi.
All the guests from the yagya then approached them and were shocked to witness the happenings. Shiva smiled and said, " Truly she is the daughter of Mohini, who could enchant anyone leaving none"
Manhora then came back from his memories as Dwarka was approaching he smiled and said, " Truly! You have not changed a bit in these years my dear. Then you changed the prospective of Alakshmi and now you are working on changing the Prospective of several others. But the path you have chosen is more difficult than it appears. Just be careful at whom you trust with your efforts because some are not worthy even of a chance"
