13 |The Care That Makes Her Wonder|

SV Enterprise

Soham sat around his table, typing up the ruined presentation his business partner's son, Samar destroyed for the postponed board meeting he had the next day.

The coffee which was sitting on his desk started to get cold as he didn't touch it since his PA placed it there.

"You know your wife is really hot. I'm jealous," spoke Samar, as he walked uninvited into his cabin.

Soham turned his head to looked at him or more likely glare at him as he passed comments about his wife.

"Soham your lucky man. Sanyukta is fine as hell. Just look on her figure," he continued, causing Soham to grit his teeth.

Throwing himself on his neatly fixed couch, Samar continued to rant about Sanyukta and how hot she looked.

Soham calmly got back to typing on his laptop, tying not to get angry and destroyed something or hurt someone.

The more he ranted was the more angry he got, rage poking at his mind.

"Samar can you please sit properly in my chair?" Soham asked, trying to change the topic.

"Why, are jealous? Come on you don't deserve Sanyukta, if only she was mine."

"Samar! Stop talking about her!" he roared, making him chuckle as he got up off the couch.

"Just face the fact Soham, she isn't for you and never will be. Look at yourself then look at her, see the difference," saying that he left, leaving Soham infuriated, his hands clenched tightly.

He slammed his hands on the table, breathing in and out angrily with his teeth gritted.

"I can't stay here," he told himself, getting up from his chair, taking up his laptop.

"How long will it take?" Randhir asked, as he spoke over the phone.

"I'm not sure but I will try to convince him to execute his will as soon as possible."

"You make sure that he executes it by next week. His company is reaching higher heights and he is taking the investors I need for my company.

The rest of the plan Siya and I will plan out," he said sternly.

"Look Randhir, I am doing my best and I am putting myself in the lion's mouth so don't rush me. I am messing with Rajveer Ahuja okay, not some petty business owner."

"Whatever but remember one thing, I am paying you and the more work you do is the more money you get. Always remember that," with that being said, he hung up and threw the phone on the chair in his cabin, sighing frustratedly.

"What did he say?" Siya asked.

"He needs more time. The more time he takes is the more powerful that Rajveer gets," he stated.

"Then in the meantime let us try another way."

"No Siya, it will be too risky."

"Okay but what about his death? How will we execute that?" she asked again.

"That I will think of, you just practice to her signature. This needs to perfect.

Soham threw his laptop bag on his bed and sat on his recliner, looking up in the ceiling lost in deep thought.

'You know your wife is really hot, I'm jealous.'

'Just face the fact Soham, she isn't for you and never will be.'

He felt like to beat the crap out of Samar. It angered him to hear other man, especially Samar talk about his wife like that.

He felt rage fill his body hearing him pass inappropriate comments about her, his wife.

'Why are angry? You don't accept her as your wife then why do you care?' his mind told.

His mind was right but Sanyukta was a woman after all. He would never like any man to talk about Aisha like that.

Despite being treated like trash by her he still loved and cared for her as a brother. He still protected her like his own child but she never noticed.

She never saw the love for her in his eyes, in his actions but instead she hated him like his parents.

"Sir, Sanyukta ma'am asked me to give you this before she left," one of the servants, spoke as he stood outside his room, pulling Soham out of his thoughts.

"Hold on." He got up and went to the door and opened it, taking the small note from him.

'I had to leave because my shift starts in ten minutes. I forgot to spread the bed so I will spread it and don't worry about the stain, I will wash the sheet and please for God sake Soham don't hurt yourself.'

The last part held him, making him remember one of the quotes she made for him.

'Spread the bed?' he thought, looking on the note blankly.

Soham, slipped it into his pocket and went towards the guest room which was practically her room now since they sleep separately.

Entering the room, the messy bed caught his eyes making him shake his head slowly.

He hated untidy things. He wanted and needed everything organized and neat no matter what.

Taking the pillows off the bed along with the duvet, he noticed the stain she was talking about, a blood stain.

'She is on her period,' he thought, as he took off the sheet.

Soham placed the sheet on the ground with the plan of washing it for her and proceeded to spread her bed.

As he placed clean sheets on the mattress, he wondered to himself 'why was he doing all of this?'

Why was he helping her when he was the one who told her he never wanted her in his life.

For the past few days he has been wondering about this and he could never find the answer.

This was as puzzling as her caring for him when he told her that he doesn't accept her.

Soham placed the sheet in the laundry basket by the door and opened her suitcase which was lying next to it.

'She ran out of pads,' he thought as he search her suitcase, opening every compartment he could find.

"Yamini!" he yelled, calling for the maid.

Upon hearing her boss' yell, she went in the direction it came from, not knowing what she did.

"Y-Yes sir," she stammered as she stood by the open door.

"Go and wash the sheets in the laundry basket," he ordered and without hesitation she did what she was told.

His unfinished presentation came to his mind causing him to change his plan about washing her sheets and decided to make the maid do it instead.

He closed her suitcase and walked out of her room, heading down the hall and to the door.

Taking the car keys out of the bowl which was standing by the door, he walked outside to his car.

15 Minutes Later

"Why aren't you picking up the phone Ishaan?" Sanyukta asked herself as she walking inside her room with a splitting headache.

"Ugh!" She threw her phone on the bed and rubbed her head, closing her eyes in pain.

She was having cramps because of her period and to add to her troubles she had a headache.

Sanyukta sat down on the bed, placing her hands on her stomach. "I just took some painkillers, then why do I still have cramps?"

"Ma'am Shanti is asking what would you like to eat," spoke Yamini as she entered her room.

"I'm not hungry," she told, curling up in pain.

"Ma'am are you sure? You-"

"I'm FINE Yamini, please leave me alone!" Sanyukta snapped making her flinch and lower her head.

"Look Yamini, I am not in the mood right now. Please go."

"Yes ma'am." Saying that she left, leaving Sanyukta who was helplessly curled up due to her cramps.

"You're home?" he asked, walking into her with the a bag in his hands.

"I wasn't feeling good," she told softly, clenching her shirt.

"Here." Forwarding his hand, her eyes fell on the packs of pads he bought making her look on him curiously.

"How did you know?" Sanyukta asked and he chuckled.

"Are you blind? Haven't you noticed your bed sheets?"

Shifting her gaze to the bed sheets, she rubbed her hands on it with a small smile on her face.

"I changed them and the other one with stain is in the wash."

She didn't know what was going on. At one point he would be cold and reserved, and at another point he would help her. She was a bit puzzled by his inconsistent behavior.

'He has to be bipolar,' she thought, looking on him from head to toe.

She took the pads from him, feeling quite unusual with him giving it her. It felt a bit awkward but she went along with it as she knew he might never do anything like this again.

"But keep one thing in mind, don't expect this ever again. And don't take this seriously." Soham walked out of her room leaving her puzzled but smiling on the inside.
