I'm Madie Judisch. I have 5 younger siblings and we all just moved to the country... Well, by just moved, I mean 3 years ago. This story is set back in 2013. Now, where was I? Oh yes!

It was a hot summer evening and my sister, Evelyn and I were making pizza in our house with our mom.

"I met a new person today!" I exclaimed, excitedly.

"You did? When?" Evelyn asked.

"I was walking the dog and met a girl named Apple. She's about 6 years old. Perfect for Lillian's age. She, her grandpa and her brother said they might come over."

"Oh. Okay." My mom said. "When will they be over?"

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

"That's them!" I exclaimed, clapping my hands together and sending the powdery flower everywhere.

Ev and I watched as our mom opened the door and let in our neighbors. We began talking and I watched as my sister and Apple's brother began talking. I smiled at having accomplished at finding my sister a new friend in our neighborhood. After they left I asked my sister what the name of Apple's brother was.

"His name is JJ. He's really cool." She answered.

"What did you guys talk about?" I asked.

"We talked about how long it takes for adults to talk."
