Chapter 32: Fish Market
Well, time for something a little bit different! This chapter is going to be about Millianna and Orga's trip to the fish market! It'll be like an OVA or something!
My reason being it seems like some of you guys are starting to ship it, and the're the only couple in this story I haven't given much time to. Plus, both of them in general haven't been getting screen time. I'm going to give them a chance! I hope you guys don't mind.
Please enjoy the chapter! And note that this happens a a little after they left, not in the present, so they didn't take an hour or so to get there. Let's say 10 minutes.

-Millianna P. O. V.-
"Fishy, fishy, fishy!" I skipped and sang while the ticket fluttered in my hand. Orga and I were almost at the fish market.
"What kind of fish do you have in mind?" Orga asked.
"Any kind! I love all kinds of fish! Tuna, bass, mackerel, cod, even sardines!"
"Sardines are great! People need to give them a chance!"
I smiled. "Finally! Someone who agrees with me about sardines!"
"Yeah, same here. Onlt ones other than me who eat them are Lector and Frosch. Sting, Rogue, and Yukino don't like them, Minerva hates the smell, Dobengal thinks they're too slimy, and Rufus hates it when I have them as a late night snack."
I gasped. "Oh my god! I have them as a late night snack all the time! Arany doesn't like it, though. She thinks they're slimy, too."
"Hey, let people have opinions. I accept it. The guild hates my singing. Don't get them wrong, though, they're still all my friends and stuff. We always do stuff, but they just don't like my singing and music stuff. Kinda like Rufus and his memory. But hey, I've learned to accept it." He seems to be a bit sad.
"Well, if you don't mind, maybe I could listen to you sing if you want to."
That cheered him up. He gave me a wide smile. "Sure! Anytime you want, I'll give you a private concert!"
Before I could respond, I suddenly smelled a sudden familiar aroma.
"Fish!" I screamed and we ran ahead.
"Fish! Fish Fish!" Me and Orga just looked at all the different fish stands around the market.
"I bet I can recognize more species than you can!" I challenged him.
"You're on!" We charged towards the nearest stand.
"Carp!" I yelled.
"Dang. Next stand!" We ran to another.
"Clownfish! I found Nemo!" Orga cheered. We ran to another stand. One by one we ran around the market calling out the names of each of the fish.
"Trout!"
"Walleye!"
"Rockfish!"
"Catfish!"
We went on like that for a few minutes until we got tired.
"I win!" I cheered.
"Good job. I almost got you though." Orga said, tired.
"Yeah yeah. So, what fish should we get? Erzy's ticket says we can get only ten of any one kind of fish. What should we get?" I asked him.
"Well, what's your favorite?"
"I said before, I like all kinds, sardines, trout, bass, so I don't really care."
"Yeah, I love all kinds of fish too. Cod, coal fish, rock fish."
"Angler fish!"
"Carp!"
"Sea bass!"
"And the best kind..."
"Salmon!" We both said.
"Salmon is my favorite fish!" I said.
"Same here!" He said.
That's when I noticed that his face was a bit close to mine. We both got too excited and leaned in when we were shouting about salmon.
Then... for the first time in my life...
I turned away, blushing.
-Orga P. O. V.-
I wonder why Millianna turned away like that? Does my breath stink? No, it can't be that. I didn't forget to brush my teeth and I even took a mint that Erza gave me before we left.
"You okay, Millianna?"
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. So you wanna get some salmon?"
I gave her a smile. "Sounds good. Wait, did we even see a salmon stand?"
"I don't actually think we did." She sniffed the air for a second. "But I can definitely smell salmon."
"Wow, you can smell it?"
"Yeah! I trained myself to be able to sniff out certain types of fish from far away!"
This girl is amazing.
"Cool. Where is it?"
She sniffed again. "I can't tell. All the other fish are mixing with the scent. I need to get to higher ground.
"I have an idea."
"What do you-"
I cut her off by bending over.
"Mount me."
...I probably could have phrased that better...
"W-What!?"
"I mean get on my shoulders..."
She hesitantly got onto my shoulders and I lifted her up. It was pretty easy, I'm a big guy and I'm pretty strong and she was light, well as light as a normal girl I assume. The only problem was that my face was probably beet red at that time.
Her thighs were pressing against my head...
This is awkward.
"C-Can you smell where the salmon is?"
"I can definitely smell it now, but I'll lose it if I get down. I'm gonna have to guide you in the right direction."
"...Wait what?"
"I'm going to have to ride you, Orga."
Okay, maybe we BOTH could use some work on phrasing...
"Just... Just tell me where to walk."
"Okay, go forward. Turn left after the trout stand."
"Got it." I started walking.
This was even MORE awkward for me, because every step I took, her thighs rubbed against the sides of my head.
It was a while before we got to the salmon stand. About twenty minutes.
Twenty minutes of a cute cat girl's thighs rubbing against the sides of my head...
Is this kind of thing normal for Mermaid Heel?
I finally saw the salmon stand.
"Okay, we're here!" She called from above.
"I can see that." I said, letting her down.
She immediately gave the man at the booth the ticket and got ten wrapped salmon in a bag. (Author-kun doesn't know what fish markets are like... :( Sorry...)
"Yay! Fishy!" She immediately took one of the fish out and took a bite.
She looked up at me with her pretty little eyes. "It's so good!"
My god, she's adorable.
"Here, let me carry the bag so you can eat the fish better." I took the bag from her.
"What should we do now?" She asked, nibbling on the fish.
"I don't know. What do you want to do?"
"I don't know... I want to see a kitty!"
"How about we go to a park and look for a cat or something?"
"Great idea, Orga! Let's go!" She took off, having me follow close behind.
Geez, she's cute, perky, and we have a lot of similar interests.
I... I think I'm in love...
