Prologue: (Y/N) Uzumaki and Inamake Uzumaki-Uchiha

"What would you like to name him?"

"Inamake... Inamake Uzumaki-Uchiha." I said with a smile and looked down at my (E/C) eyed baby boy, who was looking at me with a bright smile.

"Mommy!"

The five-year-old cheered, as I walked through the front door.

I smiled and put the groceries down, that I was holding and opened my arms wide.

"Inamake!"

Inamake, my young son, ran into my arms. I smiled and wrapped my arms around him and swung him around. We both laughed once I stopped spinning.

I looked at the black-haired and (E/C) boy.

"Did you miss me?" I asked.

"Yes, I did mommy! Did you miss me?" He asked and looked at me.

"Of course I did." I kissed his forehead and put him down on the ground.

"Where's Kakashi?" I asked.

"Right here."

I looked up and saw my long time friend, Kakashi Hatake, standing in the door frame that led into the kitchen. I smiled, picking up the grocery bags and stood up and went over to him, with the small Inamake following me.

"Hi," I said.

"Hey." He chuckled.

"I wasn't gone too long?" I asked.

"No, did you get everything you wanted?" He asked.

I grinned and nodded.

"Yup!" I chirped and walked into the kitchen.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Inamake called.

"Yes, my love?" I asked.

"Did you get what you promised?!" He asked, full of excitement.

"Hm... Let me see..." I muttered, placing the bags on the kitchen counter. I went through the bags until I came across a small rectangular shaped box. "Ah! Here it is!" I smiled and pulled the box out, and went over to the table that was in the dining room connected to the kitchen. Inamake followed closely behind me.

"Sit, sit," I told him.

He nods eagerly and sits down on one of the cushions on the floor. I smiled and opened the box, revealing two small sticks of dangos. I placed the sweets in front of him, "thank you, mommy!" He chimed.

"You're welcome, sweetie." I patted his head and headed into the kitchen and saw Kakashi already put up the groceries.

"What would I do without you?" I hummed out and smiled.

He chuckled and looked at me.

"Hm, I don't know." He replies.

I stood in front of him and crossed my arms. "It was rhetorical," I told him.

"I know." He said and ruffled my hair.

"But, I have to go now. The Chunin Exams is right around the corners, so I have to go and meet up with my team and talk to them about it." He said.

"Ah okay! Oh, can you ask if Naruto can come by? Inamake wants to see him again." I told him.

He nods. "Yeah, I'll tell him. Bye."

"Bye." I smiled, as he left my house.

I let out a soft sigh.

I remember the first time I met Naruto. It was when I went to visit Kakashi with Inamake while he was with his students.

I held Inamake's hand, as we approached the training grounds where I remembered Kakashi told me he would be.

I smiled and saw Kakashi, standing in front if his three brand new students: Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and... Sasuke Uchiha.

"Ka--"

"KAAAAKKKKAAAASSSHIIIII!!" Inamake screamed, excited.

"Inamake!" I looked at him, and then he pouted.

Kakashi turns around and looks at us. "(Y/N), Inamake. Come on over." Kakashi said.

I and Inamake walked over to Kakashi, standing next to him in front of his students.

"Kakashi-sensei! Is that your girlfriend or wife?! IS THAT YOUR SON! He looks nothing like you though..." The blonde hair boy, Naruto Uzumaki rambled.

Kakashi sighed and shook his head.

"No, she isn't. She's a good friend of mine. And, he's not my son. (Y/N), Inamake. That is Naruto Uzumaki." Kakashi introduced.

"Uzumaki! Uzumaki! I'm an Uzumaki!" Inamake cheered. "Me and mommy are an Uzumaki!" He said.

"Oh! Wait! Really?!" Naruto asked.

I nodded. "Yeah," I said.

"Oh! So, WE'RE RELATED!" Naruto screamed.

Inamake smiled and cheered.

"Yeah! Mommy always said! Your last name is your clan, your clan is your family!" Inamake said and looked up at me. He looked happy.

He looked happy, knowing someone else that he's related to. Even though I've been known about Naruto, how he is my cousin's child, I've never mentioned him to Inamake. But, I'm glad to see how happy Inamake is to meet another family member.

"Oh, oh! My name just isn't Inamake Uzumaki!"

"Inam--"

"My mommy told me, my full name is INAMAKE UZUMAKI- UCHI--"

"Inama--"

"HAAAA!!" Inamake screamed.

I facepalmed, and then Naruto looked at the girl with pink hair, I'm assuming is Sakura Haruno and then looks at... Sasuke Uchiha.

"Hey, Sasuke aren't you an Uchiha?" Naruto asks Sasuke.

"Kakashi, sorry for interrupting, Inamake just wanted to see you while we were out. We're going to get some dangos together." I said.

Kakashi nods. "Alright, I'll stop by later." He said.

"Bye." I smiled and as I and Inamake turned to walk away.

"Wait!" I turned my head and saw Sasuke standing up.

"(Y/N)..." He muttered.

I looked away for a second and then gave him a closed-eyed smile.

"It's really good to see you again, Sasuke," I said and walked away with Inamake.

I felt a small frown work it's way onto my face. I shook my head and went into the dining room to check on Inamake.

"Inamake, are you done?" I asked and looked at him. He looked at me, he had bits of dango over his mouth, he held up the empty box towards me.

"Yes! I'm done, mommy!" Inamake said.

I smiled and took the box. "Go clean your mouth, sweetie."

He nods, standing up and running to a nearby bathroom. I threw away the box and hummed softly, waiting for Inamake to get done.

I looked out a nearby window, it looks like a beautiful and peaceful day. Maybe Inamake would like to go outside and play today?

I should ask him.

"Inamake!" I went to the bathroom he went to, I opened it and saw he was struggling to look into the mirror, cause he wasn't that very tall yet.

I smiled and laughed softly.

You know... He's short now, but when he gets older, he'll probably get taller. I'm sure a lot taller than me.

I went over to him and kneeled down in front of him. I turned him towards me, took the wet towel from his hands, and cleaned his face. "You know, you're very handsome~." I cooed playfully.

He smiles and nods.

"I know! Am I handsome like daddy?" He asked and looked me in the eyes.

"I uh..." I trailed off, and looked down at the floor, but then I looked back at my son, he had a big, happy grin, waiting for an answer.

I let out a soft sigh and nodded.

"Yeah, you're very handsome like your daddy." I smiled softly, at him, I ran my fingers through his soft black hair, it was most definitely growing almost all the way to his shoulders.

"You most definitely got his hair. And, his hair, would have to be one of his best physical features." I said and I cupped his cheeks and looked at his eyes.

"You have my eye color, but... You really have his eyes." I told him.

"YOU MEAN SHARRIINNNGGAGAGAGAGAGNN!" He shouted.

I laughed and nodded.

"The Sharingan." I corrected.

"Sharingan." He muttered.

"You wanna know a bit about the Sharingan?" I asked.

He nodded excitedly.

"The Sharingan is an inherited kekkei genkai in the Uchiha clan. It's very powerful, and only the talented people of the... Uchiha clan have been known to possess it. But, you know, your uncle Kakashi has it, but that's not my story to tell." I told him.

"Wow! So I'm going to grow up and be a very, VEERRRRYYY cool SHINOBI!" Inamake cheered.

I smiled and nodded.

"Yup. The coolest."

He grins and then makes a look as if he had another question.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Well, I found out that, I have a...a cousin?" He said, and looked at me, wanting to know if he was right.

I nodded.

"Yeah, Naruto is your cousin," I said.

"And... One day, when me and Naruto were playing, he mentioned a guy named... Saskue? Sasue? Sakue? Suke? Uke? Sasu?" He asked.

"Sasuke..."

He smiles and nods. "Yeah him! But, anyway, no more interruptions!" He huffed.

"Naruto was telling me about, Sasuke, how he is on his team and he has the Sharingan! And, he is an Uchiha too! So, I was wondering, does that mean me and Sasuke are related?" He asks.

"Uh..."

I looked at him, his eyes were filled with curiosity.

He sure does get that look from me.

I opened my mouth, but then nothing came out, I didn't know what to tell him.

Do I tell him that Sasuke is his uncle? What if Sasuke tells Inamake who his father is? Would it be fine if I just told him Sasuke is an Uchiha? I'm pretty sure, Sasuke would tell Inamake he's his uncle. Or... Do I just lie to him?

I felt my heart hurt, at the thought of lying to him.

I could never lie to him. Really, it hurts to even think about lying to him.

"Sasuke... Is an Uchiha." I told him, he nodded listening.

"And, Sasuke is your uncle, he's your dad's little brother."

He looked at me with wide eyes.

"MY UNCLE! I HAVE AN UNCLE!" He cheered.

"Oh, oh I can't wait to get to know my uncle! Does that mean I get more toys? Oh! Oh! Can he come over for dinner tonight? Can he? Can he?!" He asked, jumping up and down.

I smiled and stood up, "Well, we'll have to see if he's available." I said.

"Oh yay! Should we invite Naruto too?" He asked.

"I mean, he's family too," I said and laughed as he jumped into my arms.

"Thank you, mommy." He wrapped his little arms around my neck, hugging me.

I hugged him back. "You're welcome, anything for my precious son."

"Do you think we can go and see Naruto and Sasuke?" He asked.

I hummed and thought about it.

"I don't want to be interrupting Kakashi's team meeting. They're having chunin exams soon." I said, and as soon as I said that, I heard knocking from the front door.

"(YYYY/NNNNN)!" I could hear my cousin shout.

"Naruto is here!" Inamake grinned. I stood up and held Inamake's hand. We left the bathroom and went to the front door. I let go of Inamake's hand so he can open the door. He smiles and jumps into Naruto's arms.

"Naruto!" Inamake greeted.

Naruto laughed, "hi Inamake!" Naruto said. "Hi (Y/N)!" Naruto smiled at me.

I smiled, "Hey Naruto." I said, but then I glanced behind Naruto and saw a familiar black-haired boy behind him.

"Hi, Sasuke." I greeted.

Inamake gasped, as I guess he noticed the Uchiha.

"Uncle!" Inamake cheered, letting go of Naruto and running over to Sasuke.

"Uncle?" They both said out of surprise.

"Well, Sasuke's brother, is Inamake's dad," I said.

"Oh, cool! You're an uncle Sasuke! No wonder you wanted to tag along!" Naruto said.

"Well, come in," I said and stepped aside. Inamake grabbed both Naruto and Sasuke's hands and dragged them inside.

"Oh! You two can stay for dinner if you're not doing anything." I said the two older boys faced me.

Sasuke nodded.

"Yes! What are you making, (Y/N)? Your famous tempura udon!?" Naruto asked, excited. I smiled and nodded. "Yeah! I'll make it for all of us! Y'all go and hang out! I'll be in the kitchen!" I said, in a cheery tone, before walking into the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen and immediately started to search for everything to prepare the meal.

"Sasuke, I thought you were going to hang out with Inamake?" I asked, and turned around, facing the young Uchiha.

"I am. But, I wanted to talk to you... About his father." He said.

Your brother.

"What about him?" I asked.

"All I really want to know is, what does he know about his father?" He asked.

"Well, Sasuke, I'm sure how serious you seem. I can't avoid telling you. But, if I tell you, I need you to promise me. You won't tell Inamake, who his father is or what his father did. All Inamake knows... For now, it is how good of a person his father was. That's all I've told him. His father is an Uchiha, he has a younger brother, and he's a good person." I said and looked Sasuke in his eyes.

"So just promise me. If he asks you anything about his father, just don't mention his name, just say anything, good you remember. Please."

Sasuke stared at me for a while.

"Our clan was killed, and he killed our clan. And, Inamake, doesn't need to know. Not now, and not until the truth about why he killed our clan is revealed." He said.

"So, I promise." He added on.

I smiled and closed my eyes.

"Thank you. I appreciate it." I mumbled.

"It's nothing. I also want to know something." He said.

I nodded. "'Kay."

"Did Itachi plan on having a kid? Or?"

I sighed and shook my head. "The only time we ever talked about kids was when we were talking about being together in the future. We would talk about having a few kids. Itachi talked about how our kids would be a physical manifestation of our love. But, we never really planned on having a kid. Actually... That was the first time we made love and the only time. I didn't know why Itachi wanted to, but he did and we did it. And... I don't regret it, not one bit. Because the new love of my life was born, Itachi used to be my everything. But, now Inamake is my everything."

"Ah well... I guess that's something good my brother did before leaving... Thank you, (Y/N)."

"Huh? For what?" I asked.

"For the nephew. And, another Uchiha member... You've at least started the process of reviving the clan. I appreciate it." He said.

"Huh. Sasuke, you do know his last name is Uzumaki-Uchiha. He belongs to both clans, not just to the Uchiha clan." I told him.

"I know. But, he is still a member of the Uchiha, yes?"

I sighed and nodded. "It's a part of him, I have no right to hide what clans he came from."

"Good... I have more to say but... It'll have to wait. I'll go and hang out with Inamake now."

I nodded, "see you at dinner." I said, then heard him walk away as I continued rummaging around the kitchen.

I sighed, stopping in front of the window and looked out the window, and I spotted a black crow.

Itachi...

I closed the curtains and started to fix dinner.

Not too long after, I finished making dinner. I poked my head out of the kitchen. "Booyysss! Dinner is ready!" I shouted and went to grab dishes and chopsticks. I could hear Inamake and Naruto running into the dining room, and Sasuke quietly walking in behind them.

I hummed and got the bowls, balancing one on each shoulder and I held the other two with my hands. I walked into the kitchen, balancing the bowls, easy peasy.

I slowly kneeled down onto my seat, and then placed all the bowls down in front of each of the boys, and then I placed down my own bowl. And, I reached into my pocket and pulled out each of the wrapped chopsticks, I unwrapped them and passed them out.

"Thank you, mommy!"

"Thank you, (Y/N), this looks so delicious!"

"Thank you, (Y/N). I didn't know you can cook." Sasuke said, in a somewhat teasing tone.

I laughed softly and held my chopsticks.

"If you've lived alone, as long as I did. Then, I would have to cook." I laughed softly and picked up a piece of my fish. "But, when I learned I was pregnant, I didn't really live by myself. I lived with Kakashi for a few years, until I was able to get my own little place. And, when I moved out, Inamake was three years old. And, I had to cook for him and me." I said and munched on the piece.

Everyone ate and talked.

Sasuke looked, I don't know... He seemed, less angry and gloomy when Inamake and him would talk.

I smiled softly to myself.

Little Sasuke, I don't know what you witnessed. But, I most definitely know what's wrong. And, I don't understand how you feel. But, I know how you feel. And, I'm glad, to see little Sasuke seeming a little more like how he used to be.

"IIITTTTTAAAAAAAAA!"

I laughed softly, which made the three look at me. I laughed awkwardly, didn't realize I actually laughed.

"Why are you laughing?" Naruto asked.

"Oh uh... I was just remembering this joke! Yeah, this joke I was told!" I lied.

"What joke?" Inamake asked, curiously.

"Okay uh... It went like... Why did the skeleton go to the barbecue?" I asked.

"Why, mommy?"

"Because he wanted to get some spare ribs!"

The three stare at me, but I saw a small smile form on Inamake's lips and he busted out laughing.

"Hehehehe! Mommy is funny!" Inamake cheered.

Naruto made a "pfft" sound.

"What? You think my joke isn't funny?" I huffed playfully and pointed my chopsticks at him.

"Yeah! You wanna know a funny joke!" Naruto said, slamming his hands onto the table.

"Pfft, I doubt it's as funny as my joke," I said.

"Five hundred yen! That my joke is better!" Naruto betted.

"Oh, you're on," I said and crossed my arms over my chest.

"You know... I have a lot of good jokes about unemployed people, but none of them work!" Naruto said, and busted out laughing over the joke.

I looked at Inamake, and I shook my head, Inamake gave Naruto an unimpressed look.

"Mommy was better," Inamake said.

I looked at Sasuke, who was just minding his own business and eating.

"What about you Sasuke? Which one do you think was better?" I asked.

"Well, in my honest opinion. They both were horrible. And, I don't want to side with Naruto to feed his ego. But, Naruto's was better." Sasuke admitted.

Naruto jumped up, "HA! MY JOKE WAS BETTER!!! IN YOUR FACE!!!" He screamed.

"Oh, hold up, hold up." I said and motioned for the boy to sit back down.

"Now, Naruto. Let's up the bet a little." I said.

"Mhm... I'm listening." Naruto said, leaning over the table.

"The one with the worst joke, will---"

"BUY A LIFETIME SUPPLIES OF RAMEN!" Inamake shouted.

"I--" I opened my mouth to protest, but Naruto already screamed, "DEAL!"

I'm going to go broke if I lose this...

Now, forgetting that we were eating me and Naruto stood up next to each other, in front of the other two.

"Okay, so you two will be voters. And, whoever has two votes, wins." I said.

"This is... So unbelievably lame, but it's better than nothing." Sasuke muttered.

Inamake stood up, "Whooo! You got this mommy!" He cheered.

I smiled and put my hand on my hip. "I got this, sweetie," I said confidently.

Inamake stood up. "Time to start! Naruto Uzumaki goes first!" He announced.

Naruto cleared his throat.

"Why can't a bike stand up on its own?"

"Why?!" Inamake asked.

"Because it's two tired."

It then went quiet in the dining room.

"Booooooooooo!" Inamake huffed.

"Now! Mommy Uzumaki's turn!" Inamake announced.

I stuck my tongue out at Naruto. "Ha! Step aside loser, it's my turn." I said, playfully and gently pushing the blonde.

"Okay, you wanna know why you can't trust trees?" I asked.

"Why?" Inamake asked.

"Because..." I trailed off and chuckled, "They're shady."

[I kid you not... This shit made me laugh. This lame-ass shit made me laugh...]

Inamake busted out laughing. "That's so smart mommy! And, funny!" Inamake cheered.

"Hm... I have to say, they both were very lame. But, (Y/N)'s was better." Sasuke said, finishing his food.

"AHAHAHAH! BOOM! WHERE'S MY LIFETIME SUPPLY OF RAMEN!?"

Naruto huffed and whine.

"But, I'm brooookkkkkeeeeeee." He whined.

"Hm..." I got down on my knees and motioned over Inamake. Inamake scuffled over and leaned close. "Yes, mommy?" He whispered.

"I feel sorry for the kid," I whispered back and looked at Naruto. "What else should we make him do?" I asked.

Inamake hummed as if he was thinking.

"What if he cleans dishes for the whole year?" Inamake suggested.

"Hm, I don't think that's enough," I told him.

"Uh..."

"What about? He babysits you for a year, cleans the house as well?"

Inamake smiled and nodded.

"Good idea mommy!"

I smiled and held my hand out for a high five. He grins and slaps his hand against mine before I stood back up and then we both made a serious look and faced Naruto.

"Naruto Uzumaki! We have determined a new deal for you! For the whole year! Since, I believe you don't have a life, that you babysit my precious, Inamake. And, you come over every weekend and clean."

"Whaaatttt?" He whined.

"Yup, you lost. But, anyway, it's Inamake's bedtime." I said and looked at Inamake who already looked tired. I looked outside and it was already dark.

"And, you two should head home," I told them.

"Yeah, it's late. Thanks for the dinner, (Y/N)." Sasuke said, before standing up.

"You're welcome Sasuke! If you want something to fixed or you wanna see your nephew, then stop on by whenever." I said and smiled at him.

"You're always welcomed here," I muttered.

He stood for a second, before nodding. "I... I appreciate it. I'll be sure to come and see Inamake, and you when I'm not busy." He mumbled.

I nodded and gave him a soft smile. "I have to rest, tomorrow I'm going to be training." He said.

"Bye Inamake. Bye (Y/N)."

Inamake smiled and hugged Sasuke while letting out a yawn. "Bye, uncle." He mumbled, in a tired tone.

Sasuke patted Inamake's head. "Bye... Nephew." Inamake let go and Sasuke left the dining room, then I heard the front door open and close.

"Well, cousins! I should go too! Can't keep this beauty to myself." He said and stretched.

"I think you mean, ugly, but okay." I hummed, as Inamake walked over to me. He then held his arms out to me. I smiled softly and picked him up. "My big boy, you're still my precious baby at heart." I cooed and held him close.

"I'll be back soon (Y/N)! Bye!" Naruto said, and waved goodbye as he left.

I hummed and left the dining room, and walked down the hall to Inamake's room. I opened his door, revealing his room that had different toys all over the floor. I sighed and shook my head.

I have to remind Inamake to pick up his toys tomorrow.

I went over to his bed and laid him down, I then put him under his covers.

The good thing about not really going anywhere is that you get to stay in your pajamas all day.

I tucked him in and kissed his forehead.

"Goodnight, baby," I mumbled, before standing up.

"Mmmm... Mommy." Inamake mumbled.

"Yes?" I looked at him.

"Can you tell me how you and daddy met?" He asked, and looked at me with a tired look.

"Oh well...Let's just say, the hero that your father is. He saved me. It's a long story, and I would prefer it if you're fully awake. So, I'll tell you the full story another time." I said and smiled softly.

"Sleep tight."

"Goodnight mommy," Inamake said, before letting out another yawn.

I smiled and walked out of his room, and then went into my room.

Inamake, I'll tell you one day, how your father saved me.

Tears were rushing down my cheeks, and blood was coming out of my mouth as their feet collided with my stomach.

"Stupid."

Kick.

"Worthless!"

Kick.

"Weak!"

Kick.

"Die already!"

Then a quick and swift kick was delivered to my stomach.

I coughed and cried, "please stop... Please." I begged.

The group of boys laughed, as they brought another hard and swift kick.

"Why!? We're doing everyone a favor! Not like anyone cares!" The leader laughed and then I closed my eyes shut, waiting for another kick to come... But, it didn't.

I opened one eye, looking through the tears flowing out. The boys were gone.

I then saw a hand behind held out to me. I sniffled and sat up, I opened my other eye and looked up.

Itachi Uchiha.

He's the class prodigy.

And... He was holding his hand out to me.

I slowly reached my hand out and grabbed his hand.

He held my hand tight. It felt comforting, warm, and safe.

How could just from holding someone's hand was safe?

He then pulled me up to my feet and looked me in the eyes.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. Thank you." I said.

"It was nothing. They were bullying you. And, no one deserves to be bullied. Especially you." He said.

"Why especially me?" I asked him, curious.

"Because I watch you during class. I've seen how hardworking, smart, and caring you are in class. How you act so kindly towards everyone, even though they treat you like your nothing. You're really nice and you don't deserve this treatment." He said.

I then smiled softly at him.

"Well, bullies come and go. And, you're going to always have at least someone that expresses how much they hate you. And, I can't stop everyone that hates me." I said.

"Well, that hate, was expressed against you physically. And, if every one of your bullies is going to keep beating you up then..." He trailed off.

"Then what? You're going to beat them all up for me?" I asked, jokingly.

He thinks about it for a second and then nods.

"I'll beat them all up. Just to see you smile." He said.

"J...Just to see me smile?" I asked, confused.

He nods, he has a serious look on his face.

"To be honest, your smile is like... Light when there's nothing. And, in that class, when I... No, not I, everyone in that class looks at you when you smile. They know there just is nothing in the world, the shinobi world. There's light too. And, I'll fight to keep that light alive. I'll fight for you." He admitted.

I looked at him shocked, until a grin formed on my lips.

"Itachi Uchiha! When I see you in class, you never say a word! But, I never expected you to say such nice words, make you the perfect, charming knight! That adds to how cute you are~!" I cooed and laughed.

"You think I'm cute?" He asked he had an amused tone.

"I... Uh..." I felt my cheeks heating up.

He chuckled and looked me in the eyes, a small smile on his lips.

"I think you're cute too if you asked me. Not only a great smile, but you're also very... Weird, you make the lamest jokes, I've ever heard. So, amazing personality." He said and then put his hand on top of my head.

I blushed and smiled at him.

"Okay, if we're being honest. You're cute, and I want to get to know you! I want to be friends! Best friends!" I cheered.

"Okay." He said, and chuckled.

"Really?!" I asked, excited.

He nods.

"We're friends from this day on." He said.

I smiled and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly.

On that day, it seemed like we were instantly attracted to each other. After that day, we hung out almost every day, and I think we both knew we were going to end up together, we were in love. I don't know if we are anymore though...

[Ah, the official first chapter of the redo of my original Itachi Uchiha x Uzumaki! Reader. Hope y'all enjoyed  the prologue.]
