Chapter Fourteen
They stood there glaring furiously at each other. If looks could kill, both would be more than dead by now.
The staring competition carried on until Draco raised his eyebrows at him.
"Just going to stare, Weasel?" He asked.
Ron looked behind to Hermione. Their eyes met and Hermione looked down, unable to look at him.
"I thought you hated him?" Ron asked, nodding at Draco once.
"Ron," Hermione whispered. She cleared her throat and it came out a bit clearer, "I... I've always loved him. I'll always love you, just in a different way."
She walked forward and Draco grabbed her arm. She looked back at him and he shook his head.
"Drake, trust me." She whispered.
Draco sighed and let her go. She walked over to Ron and took her ring off, she handed it to him.
"Sorry. I should have been honest with you in the first place." Hermione said and hugged him.
Ron hugged her back, Draco coughed and Ron pulled back, uneasily, ignoring Draco. He slowly moved a strand of Hermione's loose hair behind her ear and sighed.
"I haven't been completely honest with you either." he said looking quite embarrassed.
"What do you mean? You've been great and you've helped me s-"
Ron cut her off by shaking his head, his eyes closed tightly. Hermione stopped and after a few seconds Ron opened his eyes.
"Let me show you." he said and offered a hand.
Hermione looked back at Draco, who was frowning, he came forwards and held Hermione's hand. Hermione squeezed his hand took Ron's. Ron, Hermione and Draco disapparated.
They opened their eyes to find themselves in a dark apartment. Draco frowned, looking into the living room. He opened his mouth to say something but someon came out of the kitchen and stared at them.
"Pansy?" Draco frowned, and then realisation dawned on his face. He looked daggers at Ron and then at Pansy, "Don't do this... Hermione, do you trust me?"
He grabbed Hermione's face and whispered "I need you to trust me." He looked deep into her eyes, finding the love buried deep in there, pouring out. She looked back at him without blinking.
"Yes I trust you." She whispered.
They turned hand in hand back to Ron and Pansy. They were silently conferring. Pansy was shaking her head and Ron was looking angry.
"Sasha come out here this instant." Pansy yelled.
A girl with black hair and electric blue eyes. She walked out and glanced at Ron, before looking at Draco.
"Dad?" She said and hugged him.
Hermione frowned deeply, staring at Draco as the girl hugged him, nuzzling her neck in his chest.
"Draco-" Hermione started, holding up one hand.
"You said you trusted me." Draco frowned at her, before pulling away from the girl, "Listen, I'm not your father. I don't know who your father is, bet your mum doesn't know either."
He stared filthly at Pansy, who rolled her eyes about to speak when Ron cut her off.
"I'm your father, Sasha." He said to the girl and turned to Hermione, "I've done a really bad thing and I hope you forgive me. I... I slept with Pansy and made Sasha. We decided to say Sasha was Malfoy's child so you would break up with him... and I could get you and Pansy could get Malfoy. I'm so sorry and I-"
Hermione slapped him across the face. Sasha gasped and Pansy seemed to be holding in a laugh. Draco was ready to interfere but he let it go on.
"How dare you! How... I... This is your fault! I've been living without my true love for eleven years! You've tortured me enough!" Hermione said, punching his chest, she started crying and leaned into him, "Why... I hate you."
She whispered the last bit and went to stand beside Draco, holding out a hand to disapparate.
"Wait," Pansy muttered and they stopped, "Draco if you leave... I'll... I'll kill myself. I can't live without you."
"Live with him." Draco said gesturing to Ron, "You two are perfect for each other."
Ron didnt reply. He stared at Hermione, who leaned into Draco.
"Hermione, I'm-"
"Say one more word and I'll do something I won't regret, Weasel." Draco said, "Come on Hermione."
He took Hermione's hand and after a look to Pansy and Ron they disapparated to their house.
Opening the front door of the house, Hermione went upstairs, without looking at Draco and Draco watched her go upstairs. He made his way to the kitchen, to find no one there. He grabbed a green apple and went upstairs.
He opened the door to Haillie and Dray's room, to find them sleeping peacefully. Draco moved to his own room and Hermione was lying on the bed, her eyes wide open.
"Hermione." Draco whispered.
No reply, she didn't even move.
"Its okay, we don't have to talk." Draco said and lay next to her, not touching her.
Minutes ticked away in silence and Draco closed his eyes, hating the silence and the distance but he didn't want to push Hermione. He didn't know she even wanted him in her life.
"Draco?" She whispered.
Draco opened his eyes.
"Yes?" He whispered back
"I need to go back." Hermione said, turning around.
Draco turned around to face her, he moved closer and closer until her breath tickled his face.
"Why?" He looked down to her lips and back to her eyes.
"I meant," She whispered, a hand travelling to his abs, "I need to go back to the way it was before."
She moved closer so their bodies were touching and Draco smiled, leaning in to kiss her. Their lips met and Draco turned around, so she was on top. After the kiss, Hermione pulled back and smiled, running a hand through his hair.
"You taste like apples." She whispered and leaned in to kiss him briefly.
"I love you." Draco said, he reached to the side and found the green apple, "Want to share?"
He held up the apple and Hermione beamed, lying next to him, she snuggled into him and they shared the apple, talking into the night.
The love was still alive and always would be.
Things were back the way they should be.

A/N - Yes, this is the ending of the story. Hey, I know it's not great but I did write this when I was younger. Check out Tutoring A Malfoy or I'lll Fight For You. Those are better, longer and more grammatically correct :)
