"Waaaaaahhhhhhh!!!" I cried out as me, Katelyn and Zane walked out the classroom.

"Come on, Aphmau...it can't be that bad! It's just for one project. It's not like you're partners with him forever" Zane assured me as he rubbed my back and gave me a concerned look.

Katelyn nodded in response. I groaned and placed my books in my locker.

"Come on guys! What do you think you'll do if you're the expected valedictorian of your batch and your partner on a very complex project..." I closed my locker with a loud sound and faced them, hands on my hips.

"......is no other than the expected repeater of our batch?" I finished, raising my brow.

Woah,woah,woah.

You're probably confused why I ended up being partners with that jerk and not with the love of my life huh?

As I said, I got my hopes up to high.

"Yesss!!!" I exclaimed, fist-pumping the air.

I was so happy that I was having a whole garden of butterflies in my stomach. This is probably the best thing that's happened to me right now! I wonder what we'll tall about...Maybe we can take our relationship into more than friends! Then we can-

"....You're working alone" Teacher Bravo finished, looking me straight in the eye.

I suddenly froze on my spot.

Wh-wh-what? I-I thought she said that me and Aaron are partners...

Teacher Bravo instructed us to go to our partners (but I don't have one sooo...yeah). They all did so and I checked who Aaron's partner was,

"Hey Aphie" Someone tapped my shoulder, making me turn around, only to be met with familiar black eyes and jet black hair.

"Zane! Um..what?" I said,turning my body to face him.

"You were spacing out a while ago. Did you daydream about you and Aaron again?" Zane asked,sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose.

I nodded furiously as he rolled his eyes.

"Of course she was, why would I even ask" I heard him mutter under his breath.

Excuse me? Am I that predictable?

Before I could reply in annoyance, he cut me off by looking me dead in the eye.

Uh-oh Mayday, Mayday, Serious Zane ahead.

"You probably didn't hear that Teacher Bravo said;

'Aaron Parker with...'

then she took a long pause and said;

'....Katelyn Gadielle Dragofire'

Then I saw that you didn't seem to notice. That's why I concluded that you were daydreaming again. Then when Teacher called out your name you suddenly yelled 'Yes' and fist-pumped the air.

So I think that you didn't hear what Aaron's actual partner was and you thought it was you since you only ended up hearing his name...and your name." He finished, turning away from me.

There was complete silence as I was processing everything.

"So....yeah" He said,awkwardly. I simply nodded slowly in response.

"It's...kinda okay actually since I'm working alone and it will be much easier if I do it by myself" I said, a bit sadly. Zane took notice of this and gave me an assuring look. His eyes lit up after and he smirked.

"What are you doing,you creep?" I said, raising my eyebrow.

He sighed and shook his head jokingly.

"There's still someone who hasn't got a partner~" He said in a singsong voice.

There...is?

Who can that be-

"Morning, you brats" A deep and annoyed voice said, as the slam of the door opening was heard.

We all turned our heads to face the figure. Guess who finally showed up? It's Mr. I'm-too-cool-for-school.

"Mr. Meteli, Late for the 15th time." Teacher Bravo said, checking something in her lesson plan.

Laurence just rolled his eyes and sat down. I watched him as he scanned the room for a moment. I didn't realize that he was looking at me. When I did, he gave me a glare and slept. (Told you)

I rolled my eyes and continued planning for my project alo-

"Ms. Phoenix? You're working alone right?" Teacher said, I nodded my head in response.

"Well in that case, you and Mr. Meteli will be partners since he doesn't have one too."

What.

*ring ring*

"Dismissed" With that said, Teacher went out the door. I looked at Laurence only to see him rub his eyes and walk out as if he just went here for the aircon. (I think that's the reason actually)

Please tell me it was all a joke.....

But it's not.

Well,now that you know what happened.. You might probably get why I'm complaining about it to my ever supportive friends.

"Well...uh...." Zane trailed off. Katelyn just looked away and didn't say anything.

"Told you-"

~Sie sind das essen? Nein, wir sind die Jaeger!~

My phone started to vibrate indicating a new message. I took it out only to see a weird message:

Katelyn,this is Laurence. Please,talk to me. Meet me on the rooftop tomorrow after school. No matter what happens...I'll still wait for you...please Kat....

I blinked a few times at the message. What. He sent it in the wrong number.

"What's wrong Aphmau?" Katelym said, leaning over to check what's displayed in my phone.

"N-nothing!" I replied, putting it back inside my bag.

"Well...if you say so" She said, shrugging.

"I'll head out, I have practice. bye guys!" Zane said, running off after doing a two-finger salute at us.

We both waved back. Katelyn checked her watch and her eyes widened.

"Oh, fluffy unicorns!!!! I'm late for Taekwondo practice!!! GG Aphie!!!" She said, running off.

I nodded in response. Later on, I took out my phone and checked the message again.

"He loves her this much...That's admirable.." I said,smiling a little.

".....But he's a jerk" I finished,shutting down my phone.

I checked the time and sighed.

"Time for the Book club..."

"What should I say to her?" I exclaimed as I gripped my phone tight. All my bestfriends surrounded me and thought of things to say to Katelyn.

I don't have her number but Dante did. When I asked him where he got it he just said;
'Beats me'. That blue haired prankster....

BUT I DON'T CARE. I got her number and that's all that matters.

"How about...I'd love to go out and do pranks with you and break the rules and stuff" Dante suggested, smiling proudly.

I rolled my eyes and glared at him.

"You know she doesn't do that stuff! Besides, that is what you should tell Nicole, she is into that kind of stuff" I said, smirking.

Dante blushed,looking away. Then Travis decided to speak up.

"How about-"

"Shut it loverboy." I said, silencing him.

"We all know you're gonna suggest something flirty and totally out of my capability but completely normal to you"

"How did you know?" He said,confused.

We all faceplamed after. Seriously, he's so dense.

Suddenly...I thought of something.

"I got it!!" I exclaimed as I wrote (typed) it down.

"And....send" I said, clicking the 'send' button.

"What did you send?" Garroth asked.

I smirked and looked out the window.

"Well-"

"Words made up of letters,duh" Aaron said,sarcastically.

I sighed and mentally facepalmed.

"Just...something memorable" I said,smiling like an idiot.

I'm gonna look forward to tomorrow Kat....I love you....

"That's creepy dude, stop it. Just. Stop. Smiling. Just smirk, it's more normal to see you smirk than smile" Dante said, with a disgusted expression.

Suddenly, a black aura formed around me as I slowly faced him.

"Oh shoot" he muttered.
