FIVE. kissing in the honeycomb cabin

IT MADE Carlos upset that Jenna could even have the idea of sleeping on who she thought deserved what parts in the show.

He'd snuck out, found the cast list, and made what he thought were necessary changes. No one would know. It's not like he killed someone, you know?

Beside the fact, the cast list had been posted and shocked filled three of Camp Shallow Lake's campers.

Shiloh Molina on the other hand? She'd been passed out in her bunk. She and Kourtney had been one of the two campers still sleeping inside and had no signs of coming out any time soon.

Shiloh normally was an early bird. She woke up ready to get the work done so she could have a night of peace. Last night wasn't so peaceful for the girl.

She, for one, had Love Club stuff to do. That wouldn't change for awhile. She'd also been working on Ricky's birthday gift. Now that he was at camp she had less time to perfect the gift she hoped he'd die for. Finally, that audition really made her nervous.

She'd never done anything like that before in her life. Yet, she wasn't really auditioning for herself. She would never hear the end of it from Ricky if she didn't. It wasn't a bad thing either. Ricky knew that Shiloh was sick of being referred to as the "Love Club Girl". He knew that she was so much more than the girl who blew up seemingly overnight. She was multitalented, she just had to scrap a few layers to find out what else she was good at.

Turns out she's really good at auditioning.

Ricky knocked on the Honeycomb door. No response.

He sighed, holding his hands over his eyes, "I'm coming in! Please be dressed!"

He opened the door, peeking through his his fingers and found the two girls still sleeping in their respective beds.

As he began to approach her bed, he noticed the small round table in the cabin.

Ricky tilted his head slightly, cocking his eyebrows at the papers scattered across it.

Shiloh's name standing out the most with the other members of the Love Club following behind.

Most likely Love Club things that he didn't really understand. He did however noticed a yellow sheet of paper with his name written across it.

Fake birthday gifts for Ricky... because he's nosey. The paper read. He playfully scoffed and threw the paper back on the table.

"I am not nosey." He muttered to himself, "From this point on I'm no longer nosey."

This would be Ricky's first birthday with Shiloh and she wanted it to be special. You only turn eighteen once. She wanted everything to go according to her plan.

Besides the point, Ricky ventured on towards Shiloh's bed. Her glasses tucked tightly in her hands as other random letters and papers scattered across the bed.

"Shiloh." Ricky whispered. He took her glasses from her hands and into his, "I know it's early, but this is very exciting for me, so... wake up."

Shiloh began stirring awake. Ricky smiled and placed her glasses on her face.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"You are the part in the musical!" He cheered.

"That's what you woke me up for?"

"No, Shiloh, baby. You got the part."

Shiloh turned back over and faced Ricky, her eyebrows furrowed.

She hopped out of her bed not bothering to put shoes on and headed towards the barn with the cast list placed on it.

Shiloh didn't have to bother looking down the list. She did get the part. Not the part that she wanted, but the part that mattered the most.

"Congratulations, sister!" Gina cheered, hugging Shiloh's side.

Shiloh's name, written in Jenna's handwriting, had been right next to Anna. She was Anna, Gina was Elsa, and of course, Ricky Bowen had managed to get the lead, Kristoff, without really knowing the plot of the movie in the first place.

Shiloh blinked slowly and shook the thoughts from her mind.

She hugged Gina back, congratulation on her lead. It was something Gina had wanted since she moved to Salt Lake and she finally got it. She was over the moon.

Carlos broke through the two girls, making his way towards the front to see the list for himself, "I can't believe I'm playing-"

"Olaf!" Ricky smiled, "Congrats, bro. And I'm Kristoff. That's..."

"A person. Congratulations on being an actual species, Ricky." Carlos scoffed, "What? First Lumiere and now Olaf. Am I destined to play an inanimate object for eternity?"

Ashlyn sang a small tune as she pushed her way towards the front of the crowd. A smile bright on her face didn't last long as she found herself being part of the ensemble.

"I mean, hey, the ensemble. You can't do a show without the ensemble. There are no small parts, only small actors, right? Don't count your lines, make the lines count." Ashlyn rambled.

And thought he hated auditioned, Jenna knew that EJ wanted to be apart of the musical, so she stuck him as Sven.

After a small commotion, Jenna and Maddox had left the barn. Jenna's smile beamed bright as she ran towards the edge of the railing.

"Everyone excited?" She asked, "I know it wasn't as fast as Ms. Jenn for my Wildcats, but it was fun."

"Can I ask why I'm an inanimate object once again?" Carlos asked.

"Sure. You did have a big part, but then I found out you changed the cast list and what I had wasn't final. So, you're Olaf. Remember what Shiloh said, this is all for fun. And we can't have fun when people are changing my list, can we?" Jenn asked with a smile, "There are cameras Carlos. You gotta be a little more sneaky."

Carlos held a shocked, yet impressive look on his face as more conversations began to brew.

"Quiet your voices!" Maddox called.

"Morning' stage manager. You got everything ready?" EJ asked.

"Sure do, Rocket Man." She smiled, "It's Newbie Initiation Campout Night, folks. A night in the woods among the wildlife. And spirits. Pack your tents. Oh, and rest your vocal cords. You'll be screaming tonight."

THE GROUP dispersed and everyone began packing for the night in the woods.

The Love Club had been at camp longer than the other with Maddox teaching them the in's and out's of everything they needed to know about this place. Maddox never mentioned any screaming that they would be doing.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year." Maddox smiled, sitting on the swing in the cabin, "Not Christmas, not Tax Day. Newbie Night! You guys are gonna have so much fun. Once we reach the camping spot, we start by setting up the tents. Then we gather around the campfire for a little sing-along experience, followed by the world-famous retelling of..." She paused, "Am I talking to myself? Talking to myself."

"Of course not." Madison said, "I'm sure everyone is excited for Newbie Night."

That's when Ashlyn heavily groaned, ripping another page out of her book.

"Are you okay?" Gina asked.

"A hundred percent. Just journaling. Reframing the news from this morning so I can make it a win."

"Being in the ensemble isn't a bad thing, Ashlyn." Jenna said, "You're still apart of the show. That's the fun part!"

"Fun. Of course."

"Oh, I get it. You're a Leo Rising." Maddox said.

"Capricorn Rising, actually. I'm all earth and air signs in my big three."

"Really?" Ashley asked, "You definitely give off some sort of fire sign."

"Right?" Maddox smiled.

"Look, I know myself. I'm a Ravenclaw, an ENFP, and a Samantha."

"Who's Samantha?" Evie asked.

"The American Girl doll, Samantha." Ashlyn answered, "And I'm definitely a Capricorn Rising."

Ashlyn ripped another page of her journal out when footsteps could be heard outside the Honeycomb cabin.

"Guys approaching the cabin!" Ricky called from outside, "We would like to speak to our leading ladies."

"Whoa! Woah! Get out!" Evie said as EJ stuck his head through the window.

Shiloh playfully pushed Evie to the side and gestured for the two boys to come into the room.

"Two minutes." Maddox instructed.

Ricky first entered the cabin first, EJ following behind with a very dainty bouquet of flowers for Gina.

Ricky spilt from EJ's side and stood next to Shiloh has she packed her tent up for the night.

"Aren't you excited?" Ricky asked with a smile, "You're the Anna. You've got to be feeling something."

"I'm feeling happy that you're very happy for me." She said.

Ricky grabbed Shiloh's, stopping her from putting anything else in her bag.

"This isn't about me. It's about you and how freaking talented you are because you're the lead. I know I will be way more excited about this than you, but we're the leads. People are gonna love that."

"Do you even know who Kristoff is to Anna?"

"He is a... person. Who's with Anna during this... frozen adventure."

"You just come up with that?"

"Yeah, it was pretty good wasn't it?"

Shiloh smiled, patting Ricky's cheek before moving back to her bags.

"You know what?" Ricky questioned, "We should've done a musical where they're at the beach and... something about getting stuck in a movie."

"Teen Beach Movie?"

"No..."

Evie chuckled from the side, "Classic Lover Boy Bowen. Never knows what he's talking about and Shiloh's still becomes weak in her knees when she sees you."

Shiloh grabbed her shirt from the bed, chucking to towards Evie.

"My point is, new things are scary. When I first came to the Love Club I was terrified, but at the end of the day, everything turned out to be just fine. You're the perfect Anna. Don't second guess that."

She smiled softly, "You know, I'm the one who's supposed to be giving advice like that out. That's my whole point of being here."

"I've learned from the best."

"Thank you for the support. I love you."

Ricky smiled, cupping Shiloh's cheeks and titling her head back ever so slightly, "You'll be the death of me, Molina. I love you, very much."

Ricky placed a chaste kiss onto her lips, a small smile ghosting against hers.

"No romance in the Honeycomb cabin!"

Shiloh giggled and gently pushed Ricky away, "You heard, Maddox. Be gone." She smiled, "I'll catch you at the campfire."

Ricky held his hands up in defense and left the cabin with EJ by his side.

Ricky wasn't gone long, he rushed back into the cabin, kissing Shiloh one last time, and laughed on his way out when the girls in the cabin began to shout at him.

This summer was looking pretty golden for everyone at Shallow Lake, at least, for now it is.
