EIGHTEEN. the love club

SHILOH MOLINA was the proud leader and creator of the Love Club and she had been determined to help people with their love problems. No matter if it was learning self-love, relationships with your partner, or relationships with your parents, etc., etc., Shiloh and her Love Club were definitely the people you wanted to go to if you wanted help with anything love.

Each member of the Love Club could help with the relationship aspect of life, but each of them having their own specialties and different outlooks of love, no matter platonic or romantic.

Shiloh was confident with her club and didn't care if others didn't. She had slowly formed the group with her friends and soon enough the five of them had each helped others (along with themselves) with the concept of love.

But today, Shiloh walked down those same East High halls with her arm looped with Gina Porter as they made their way to the auditorium to change everything they ever knew.

"Now, I would like you to meet our stars, who are here to sign their contracts in front of the entire world." Quinn smiled at the group of reporters. "Because transparency matters. You'll meet Mack in just a moment. But right now, I would like to introduce you to our Juliet and Rosaline. Who, just moments ago, finished their own High School Musical production in the gymnasium down the hall. Please welcome, the world will know their name, Miss Shiloh Molina and Gina Porter."

With their arms still linked, the two girls entered the room and had begun to be bombarded with flashing camera lights as they made their way up to the podium.

The only unlinked arms when Quinn approached Shiloh, leaning close to whisper in her ear.

"Be bold." She said. "Let's make some headlines tonight."

Shiloh nodded and gave Gina's hand a reassuring squeeze and made her way to the podium.

She rested her hands flat against it and took in a deep breath before looking over at the interviewer with a small smile on her face.

"Hello, everyone." She began. "Words couldn't describe the honor that Gina and I have to be here with you tonight and we thank you once again for showing up for us and to celebrate our new movie. An opportunity like this comes... once in a lifetime, and Gina and I both know that." Shiloh looked over her shoulder; Gina gave her a small nod and she continued.

But before she could do that, one by one, each of them, Kourtney, Jet, Ashlyn, Big Red, Seb, Carlos, Victoria, EJ, Dylan, Evie, Madison, Jenna, Ashley, Miss Jenn, and Mr. Mazzara all made their way into the room.

The only person missing from the bunch was Ricky.

Shiloh smiled softly, a genuine smile as she continued on with her speech. "And the only reason I have the strength to play a role as Juliet, and I honestly am very excited to read the play, which I hear is incredible, is because of the people here at East High who made me who I am. The people who I thought I could teach love taught me everything and more about it." Shiloh paused, picking up her pen. "Which is why I am so grateful that Quinn looked at the bigger picture and decided to cast Gina Porter as Juliet and me as her best friend and sidekick, Rosaline. Quinn realized that Gina is and will be a big name in the industry and I can't wait for you all to her shine as Julie. I would also like to thank Quinn for changing the set location of this movie from New Zealand to Salt Lake City so I can finish my senior year here at East High."

Shiloh began to sign her contract and held it up for the cameras with a big smile on her face.

She turned towards Quinn, winking her way and turned back towards everyone else.

She stepped off the podium and gave Gina the floor to sign off on her contact. Showing it off the same as Shiloh, the girl turned quickly, wrapping Shiloh in her arms in the most bone crushing hug the two of them had ever shared.

"Am I too late?"

The hug broke apart and Shiloh turned.

There stood Ricky, almost out of breath from running down the halls to get there in time.

"Am I too late?" He asked again.

Nothing was said other than the mumbles from the crowd as Ricky began to strum the electric guitar in his hands.

"Two, three, four." He muttered before looking up at her. At Shiloh. "I've been wishing on a falling star for too long. I've been running I don't know what from. But you and I've become a sacred kinda home. I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, and I know it. No net, no fear right here in this moment. I've never been more sure of what I got, yeah. 'Cause this so much more than puppy love. So, I'll say it first, no matter what the cost. Here I am, full heart, full stop, I love you."

Shiloh watched as Ricky drew closer to her and Gina took a step back.

Shiloh smiled, tears brimming her eyes as the others began to sing along to Ricky's song.

Suddenly the lights flashed on as they continued singing the song and they all drew closer to Ricky and Shiloh, forming a circle around them.

"'Cause I love you feels a lot like high school." Ricky sang.

"And forever after that." Shiloh finished.

The song drew to a close and with quick succession, Shiloh leaned forward and pressed her lips against Ricky's in a soft, tender kiss. It was a simple gesture, but it held so much meaning, so much promise.

The crowd of interviewers began to cheer and one stood to her feet, a microphone in her hands as she approached the circle.

"This is an incredible way to announce a movie."

"Thank you, thank you." Quinn said quickly, approaching the podium. "Yeah. Thank you. This was the plan the whole time. You know, to- to really make some headlines, as they say. You know, uh, Utah is a beautiful and surprising place. As are the people."

"Well, it worked." The reporter smiled.

Quinn stepped away from the podium to get up and close with the reporters and answer and few more questions that they may have about the movie that she truly couldn't answer at the moment.

Ricky gently took Shiloh's hand and pulled her away from the reports and their friends who stood a little further away.

"I just wanted to remind you that I do love you." Ricky said softly. "I'm sorry if I-"

"You're fine." Shiloh smiled. "I loved every second of it... and I love you too, so much."

Ricky sighed heavily. "I know you need to go away and be a big movie star and I'm so sorry if I'm too late."

"You- you actually did miss a lot."

She quickly explained that she would be staying in Salt Lake with Gina for the movie and the rest of their school years respectively.

"Oh, thank God." Ricky sighed.

Without another word, Ricky leaned down and captured Shiloh's lips in a deep kiss.

As they parted from the kiss, Ricky looked down at Shiloh with a smile. "I don't know what I'd do without you," he said softly.

Shiloh's heart swelled with love for him. "You'll never have to find out," she replied, reaching up to brush her fingers through his hair.

Ricky sighed with content before suddenly jerking in reaction and began shoving his hands in his pockets.

"I almost forgot." He muttered. "This was the reason I wanted to meet up with you earlier... if I can find it."

He finally smiled and pulled a small velvet box in his hands. "Happy one."

Shiloh's expression soften. "Ricky, you didn't have to give me anything."

"I wanted to."

He handed the box over to Shiloh and she opened it and held wide eyes. Of course there was a ring in the small velvet box... what else would it have been?

She would've been in more shock if Ricky suddenly dropped down on one knee and propose because... what the hell honestly?

But he didn't and she was thankful.

In side the box was a small knotted hearts ring that she'd seen in the mall some time ago and was shocked that Ricky had even remembered it because she never brought it up again after looking at it.

"It's a promise that you and I will be forever." Ricky said. "Because no matter what, I would love to have you in my life for as long as possible."

Shiloh looked up at him with teary-eyed smile as he took the box and the ring out of it and placed it on her finger.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Shiloh threw her arms around Ricky's neck and pulled him in for a deep, passionate kiss.

As they parted from the kiss, Shiloh looked down at the ring on her finger with awe. "It's beautiful," she said softly, her eyes shining with love.

Ricky slipped his hand into hers. "I'm not letting you go, Shiloh," he said with a determined glint in his eye. "This is forever."

Shiloh smiled up at him, her heart overflowing with love the boy. "Forever sounds like a very good thing," she said, leaning in for another kiss.

Ricky broke the kiss first and glanced behind Shiloh with knit brows.

She mirrored his expression and turned, seeing the same cameraman that had been around for about a year or so standing close by.

"Do you know who the fuck they are?" Ricky asked.

Shiloh shook her head. "I thought they were apart of the theater department."

An unresolved question that would never be answered as time passed on. The interviewers had been long gone by now and it left the drama department, the Love Club, and Quinn in the auditorium.

"Well, it finally paid to be late." Ricky smiled.

Shiloh gave Ricky's hand a small squeeze. "And I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."

The two of them turned to face each other, Ricky standing on his tiptoes to press a quick kiss to Shiloh's forehead.

"Hey," Quinn called, causing the couple to turn. "that little stunt you pulled back there?"

"Yes?"

"More of that as... Rosaline."

Shiloh nodded, giving Quinn a small nod. "I do have one more request."

"Great." Quinn sarcastically said.

"Gina and I need time in our schedule to live and do normal things like... the spring musical and my club."

"Yeah, uh, I get that." Quinn sighed. "I could probably learn a thing or two from that teacher of yours." She smiled. "Hey, Maddox, you still PA'ing this thing?"

Maddox smiled. "Absolutely. As long as I also get to stage manage Miss Jenn's next show."

Quinn gave the group a simple nod and left the group alone once more.

Maddox held her hand out for Shiloh to grab which she took graciously as Ricky held up the back of Shiloh's dress so she wouldn't fall over it as she made her way down the stairs and towards the others.

"If I've done the math correctly," Carlos said. "there are two unnecessary tickets to New Zealand currently waiting at the Salt Lake Airport."

"Two first-class tickets." Seb added.

"Plus, a limo idiling out front." Dylan quipped.

Jet chuckled. "I'm just saying, Benny the boy band member never got to play New Zealand."

"What?" Mr. Mazzara said quickly. "Oh, no. No, I couldn't."

"Couldn't we?" Miss Jenn asked causing the others around them to gasp.

"We?" Mr. Mazzara questioned.

"Oh, finally." EJ smiled. "Sorry."

"Please, God, yes." Ricky said. "Just take my dad out of the equation."

"Okay, so, we've got a stretch limo and Shiloh and I are wearing 15,000 dollar gowns."

"So, what do you theater nerds do after opening night of their high school musical?" Evie asked.

Ricky smiled. "I have an idea."

His idea was simple, yet affective.

The group, minus Miss Jenn and Mr. Mazzara all ran out of the school in the middle of the night.

Ricky leading the group as he recorded all of them as best as he could.

Shiloh had been covered in the furry jean jacket Ricky had on prior as they made their way into the limo to head to Denny's.

Ricky paused as the others gathered into the limo.

He looked over at the school with his hand resting over his heart.

Shiloh poked her head out the limo, a smile on her face. "Everything okay?"

He turned to face her. "More than okay."

He hopped in the limo and continued recording the group as the sang Born to Be Brave together.

They soon arrived at the restaurant and one by one hopped out of the limo and making their way inside.

Ricky stepped out, holding his hand got Shiloh to grab which she did.

He gently shut the limo door and followed their friends in the restaurant hand in hand with Shiloh.

She felt accomplished, like everything she had worked so hard for had led her to be here with the people she cared and loved for the most.

That's what the Love Club was for after all.

And Shiloh was happy she could create the best club with the best people and help the ones who needed it the most.

It was the Love Club motto and she stuck to it.

This was her happily ever after... and forever after that.
