EIGHTEEN. and remember if we helped, you have to give us a five star review

SHILOH HELD her phone in her hands watching the time blow past her.

She had suggested that Ricky go find his clothes and get dressed, saying that not everyone would want to see him with no shirt on.

Ricky finally reappeared and held his hands in his pockets.

"Feeling better?" She asked.

"Honestly?" He questioned, "No."

"Well... that's okay." She smiled softly, "I'm sure something or someone will come swooping in a put a smile on your face."

"She's trying."

"She is."

The sounds of the double doors opened and Ricky's mother stepped out.

"There you are."

Shiloh stepped to the side. Standing next to Ricky as his mother approached the two of them.

"Hey."

Lynne took notice of Shiloh, "I'm sorry." She chuckled, "Are you, Shiloh?"

Shiloh quickly glanced up at Ricky, "Uh, yeah. Shiloh Molina. Nice to meet you." She smiled awkwardly, shaking Lynne's hand.

"Ricky has said so much—"

"Mom."

Shiloh let out an awkward, breathy laugh, "All good things I hope."

"Yeah, of course. You're the... the Love Club girl, right?"

"Mom, please stop."

"It's okay." Shiloh whispered, "Yeah, I'm the... Love Club girl." She paused for a moment. The awkwardness still in the air, "I— I think you and Ricky have something to talk about, so, it was very nice to meet you in this short, but I'll leave you two to talk."

Shiloh sent one last wave towards Lynne before making her way towards the gymnasium.

"Hey, Shiloh?" Ricky called, "Thanks."

She smiled softly, "I'm inside if you need anything."

RICKY HAD been gone for a while. Hopefully still outside the gymnasium, Shiloh went out to venture for him.

She pushed the doors to the gym open and saw Ricky standing by the table full of playbills for the musical.

"You're about to miss Breaking Free. I know it's not a guitar acoustic version, but I'm sure it's still worth watching." She smiled.

Ricky turned to face her, "I don't know... seeing that dude in my costume."

Shiloh smiled, "I'm sure the cast would love to see you out there watching them at least. Besides, I think it would be fun to make fun of EJ for being... EJ."

Ricky held his smile before holding his arm out, pointing towards the gym.

Shiloh held the doors open for both of them.

The door making a loud noise caused the gym, more importantly, Nini and EJ to face the two walking inside.

"Like kindergarten, remember?" EJ spoke loudly.

Nini didn't respond. She looked out into the audience before looking over at Ricky and Shiloh.

"She's thrown." Ricky sighed.

Shiloh held a tight lip, "I don't think so."

"Remember kindergarten? There's nothing like the friends you made back then. And they never really leave, do they?" EJ asked.

The crowd watched and let out questionable whispers as EJ walked off stage. Nini looked over at the duo standing at the door.

She began singing, walking towards them, and pulling her phone out to shine her flashing on Ricky.

Ricky glanced back at Shiloh who sent him a small smile ushering him to walk towards her.

A small and quick conversation brewed between the two of them. Nini looking at the band, nodding slightly as a sign to start the music back up.

Shiloh looked down at her hands as soon as Ricky made one final glance her way.

Nini starting her singing back up and Ricky joining her side. The crowd applauding as the two of them made their way back to center stage.

EJ soon joined Shiloh's side.

She sent him a small smile, "I'll give you an A in growth."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, you did a great thing just now."

EJ looked down at her, "Have you?"

Shiloh sighed, "I'm sure I have."

Evie opened the gym doors and put her hand on Shiloh's shoulders, "Miss. Jenn wants us backstage before the end of the musical."

THE END of the musical follows around quickly. The Love Club standing at the sides of the stage, watching them perform We're All In This Together.

Nini and Gina rushing off stage to grab a tray along with Miss. Jenn and Carlos bring them out onstage.

"Is that the last apple?" Miss. Jenn asked with a smile.

Miss. Jenn had almost been too caught up in her small little line to notice that the whole reason she had brought the Love Club backstage hadn't even been on stage.

Miss. Jenn pulled Carlos, Ricky, Nini, and Gina closer, whispering in her ears before all four of them scatter off stage.

Ricky smiled as he grabbed onto Shiloh's hands.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"You don't think you need be out there?"

"I actually don't."

"Shiloh." Ricky started, resting his hands on her face, "If it weren't for you or this club, we probably wouldn't be here tonight. You're always saying too much praise... but I think this is the perfect amount."

Shiloh looked over at her four other friends already onstage.

"I'm never doing this again."

"But you'll do it for the next show and the show after that one."

Shiloh smiled, removing Ricky's hands from her face before he pulled her on stage.

Shiloh held Evie's hand and looked down at the other. She winked at them as Miss. Jenn introduced them as the Love Club.

Miss. Jenn ushering them to bow (which in their eyes seemed like a lot).

The club quickly bowed and followed Miss. Jenn and Carlos off stage.

"I don't think I could do anything like that again." Jenna sighed.

"Oh, I'm not done with you guys yet." Miss. Jenn smiled, "Just want until you see what I have planned for the spring musical."

"Great..." Jenna smiled falsely.

Evie turned and faced Shiloh, "Talk to Ricky."

Shiloh looked back over at the cast, "I don't think I will. It's very clear about how he feels about Nini and what am I to get in the way of that?"

"Getting in the way of something we don't know anything about yet?" Evie questioned.

"I think I rather keep all my feelings in for now."

"Shiloh—"

"I'll see you guys later."

Shiloh brushed past Evie and headed toward the exit.

"We're supposed to meet Miss. Jenn before we leave!"

"I'll be there."

Shiloh let out a breath and headed towards the Love Club.

She saw how Ricky looked at Nini during the show, what he did for her during the show. That was enough for Shiloh.

Besides the club had one job to do and they seemingly got it done. Their job was over. Ricky didn't even have to speak to any of them again after this.

It seemed to be going a lot faster in Shiloh's mind. She couldn't imagine getting the job done faster than this. Honestly, she had expected a lot more bumps in the road, but here they were.

They had helped Miss. Jenn and Ricky Bowen, two of the hardest jobs they had ever faced as a club.

Shiloh unlocked the club door and opened the filing cabinet of the folders they had for this semester.

She quickly grabbed Miss. Jenn's and Ricky's. She looked down at them for a moment before grabbing a pen and sitting at the table.

Their job was over and to everyone around them, it seemed successful. Mission accomplished. Everyone got what they wanted.

Everyone but Shiloh.

"HAS ANYONE seen Shiloh?" Ricky asked.

Everyone had been dressed out of their costumes and just lingering around before heading out to Ashlyn's as a celebration of getting to opening night with success... somewhat success.

Ricky noticed Evie talking to Ashlyn and Ashley in the back of the dressing room.

Ricky gently tugged on Evie's sleeve, "Hey, have you seen Shiloh?"

"Where do you think she is?"

Ricky sighed and made his way towards the Love Club.

He had just finished talking to Nini. Pretty successful in his eyes. Everything seemed to go his way. You know, love-wise.

He knocked on the club door.

"Hey." Shiloh smiled, opening the door.

"Hey."

She stepped to the side, allowing him to enter.

"I couldn't thank you enough for tonight." He smiled, "Or everything else."

Shiloh nodded, "It's my job."

She shut the door behind her and pressed her back against it.

"You did great out there."

"I had help."

"You guys were really sparking out there."

"Really?" He questioned, "I thought I was just a really good actor."

"You could've fooled me."

She moved away from the door and grabbed the folder off of the table, handing it to him.

"I like to keep the folders of everyone who comes. Just in case they come back or for the memory I guess, but I don't think you'll be needing the Love Club's help any time soon."

Ricky furrowed his brows, "What makes you say that?"

"I mean, you and Nini are good, right?"

Ricky looked up from the folder and nodded, "Guess so. Went a lot better than what I would've thought."

Shiloh nodded. She picked up Miss. Jenn's folder and opened the door to the club room again.

"Well, since you and Nini are back together and everything seemed to work out for you. I don't see why you would still need our help." Shiloh said, "And, um, remember if we helped you have to leave us a five star review."

Ricky nodded, running his tongue across his teeth. He put his folder back on the table and rested his hands against the table.

"And if you didn't help?"

Shiloh furrowed her brows, "What do you mean?"

"I don't think I should leave that five star review, you know? I feel like you and your club didn't help at all."

"Are you kidding me?" Shiloh questioned.

"Why would I joke about it? I know how much the reviews mean to you."

Shiloh shut the door of the club room and threw Miss. Jenn's folder on the table next to Ricky's.

Ricky watched as Shiloh tried digging for some type of mistake she could've made or some last minute effort to fix whatever happened.

"Well, what did you and Nini talk about?" She asked.

"We talked about each other." He answered, "Talked about the show, the whole "I love you" thing. It was kind of funny."

Shiloh raised her eyebrows, "Then I don't understand what could've gone wrong. I mean, I watched you both on stage. Everyone could see how much you two were sparking out there. Like you guys didn't even break up."

"Shiloh." Ricky grabbed her hands, "Relax. I talked to Nini. We're good. We're friends."

"That's not what you asked us to do."

"And I'm glad you didn't listen." He smiled, "I want to be friends with Nini, I don't want to be with Nini, and I don't want to give you that five star review for failing at your job."

"You're not funny. I'm not laughing." Shiloh rushed out, "Did you tell her how you felt?"

Ricky nodded, "I told her everything. I told her why I was in the club and I told her that I joined the musical for her. She thought it was heartwarming."

Shiloh let go of Ricky's hands. She grabbed his folder from the table and headed out the club room.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"To talk to Nini."

"Why? She knows I like you."

Shiloh stopped, turning around, and faced him at the end of the hall.

"I can't give you a five star review for trying to help me get my ex-girlfriend back because I fell for you halfway through the plan. I told her that I liked you. I like you, Shiloh. I like you a lot."

Shiloh sighed and walked back towards him, "You're still not funny."

"I thought it was funny." Ricky smiled, "I thought it was funny that I realized that I liked you the day I wanted to teach you how to skate. When I wanted to teach you how to play guitar. When we were in that club room the night of Homecoming. When we were in that room for tech rehearsals. I've liked you for a while. I just hope I didn't embarrass myself just now."

Shiloh handed him his folder back. She watched as he took it back and held it close.

"Remember? We're us. No embarrassment." She joked, "You've gotten a lot better at expressing yourself."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I can see a ton of fear right now."

"Well, the girl I like hasn't said much of anything yet."

"I told you when hate going to the Love Club about certain things because I want love advice from my friends, not "The Love Club" because those are two different people, but somehow Jenna did it. Jenna made me jealous."

"Did she?"

"She did." Shiloh answered, "She did. I told her that I like you and I told them I really wanted a chance. I had this whole plan ready for when you told me that you and Nini got back together."

"Oh, really? Wanna share?"

She smiled, "Oh, yeah. I was so ready to just get up and go and move the Love Club to the next school, I guess." She joked.

"Shiloh."

"Ricky."

"I like you." Ricky smiled, "I really want to give you this five star review for trying to help me get back with my ex, but I can't. I really want to repay you."

"You wanna repay me?"

"I would love to."

"Well, there are several things you can do. You could finish teaching me how to skateboard or play the guitar. You could... I don't know... kiss me? Unless that's too forward."

"Those are great prepositions." Ricky said, "Or I can help decorate the club like I said I would."

"Ah." Shiloh smiled.

She stepped into the club room and Ricky followed behind.

"Yeah, this club is going to have to be redecorated for the spring semester and I can't keep using a chair to help decorate. I need a real person to help."

"Why don't I just do both?"

"I would love if you did."

"Well, you're the Love Club expert. Tell me how many ways I can kiss you right now."

Shiloh laughed, "Um, there's several ways. You can..."

Shiloh grabbed Ricky's hands and placed them on her torso. She then rested her hands on his cheeks.

So without any more hesitation, Ricky leaned in until his lips brushed against hers. Soft and slow. Drawing a content sigh from him.

It's a little awkward as they try to find the right angle, but the kiss felt wonderful.

Shiloh broke the kiss first, "But the Mister Rogers' poster stays. It was a gift."

"From who?"

"The guy I hope asks me to be his girlfriend, I guess."

"You guess?"

Shiloh smiled, "Or I could ask you? Ricky?"

"Shiloh?"

"Would you like to be my boyfriend?"

Ricky smiled, brushing his thumb over Shiloh's cheek, "If I get to... pick the decorations out for the spring."

"Who made you club leader?"

"As the boyfriend of the Love Club leader, I think I can call some of the decorating shots at least."

"Fine. You get to pick a poster and the string lights."

"Three posters."

"Two posters, string lights, and... hand-painted art."

Ricky smiled, "Seal the deal."

As Ricky leaned forward, Shiloh stopped him, holding her fist out instead.

Ricky smiled softly and gently bumped their fist together.

"Oh," Shiloh gasped, "I'm supposed to meet with Miss. Jenn."

Ricky and Shiloh left the club room hand in hand.

The two of them made their way towards the front of the school and saw the club standing around Miss. Jenn and this Meghan Parsons person.

"What's going on over there?"

"No clue, but I'll let you know when I find out."

She let go of Ricky's hand and made her way towards the others.

"Oh, there she is." Miss. Jenn smiled.

"What's going on?"

"This is Meghan Parsons, from the local news." Miss. Jenn explained, she leaned over toward the others, "Don't ask how she got here."

Shiloh held a small smile.

"Totally not sketchy." Evie muttered, causing Shiloh to hit them discreetly.

"Love Club, right?" Meghan asked, "Miss. Jenn wanted a slot in the newspapers for the school musical. I took notice of how she asked a group of teens for help... that could go many ways. Tonight seemed successful and because you all helped. I think the idea of the Love Club is very different. Most people don't go out of their way to help people like you all do."

"We just want people to feel like they're being heard." Shiloh said.

"And they are. That's why I want to put you guys on tomorrow night's news."

"Like the TV news?" Madison asked, "The one where people have to turn the TV on for?"

"That's right."

"Are you serious?" Shiloh asked.

Meghan stuck her hand out, "Only if you can shake on it."

Jenna held onto Shiloh's shoulders, shaking her slightly as she muttered "Oh my, God" over and over.

Shiloh shook Meghan's hand, "We'll see you tomorrow."

"Great. Miss. Jenn already handed your parents' information over. I'll see you guys at the studio tomorrow."

Miss. Jenn had no idea how that news show would be that night. No one could've seen what was coming.

The Love Club definitely couldn't be stopped now.
