TEN. times like these we wished we had a time machine

RICKY BOWEN always kept his feelings in and it was something he knew he had to work on, especially when he didn't want to blow up at the one person who'd done so much for him in so little time.

But Dylan Lapid made that difficult in the moment. He didn't know if the guy was truly here to help or if he'd actually thought he could get Shiloh back.

I mean, come on, Shiloh was a rose in a tulip garden; rare. She'd been nothing that either Dylan and Ricky had expected and when she loved you, you know.

She thought she loved Dylan and she knew she loved Ricky. That was the difference that neither Ricky or Dylan knew.

Shiloh was young. She had her whole life ahead of her and to love someone at her age seemed like a joke. How could she, a seventeen year old girl, love someone she's only dated for a few months... almost year?

It was a different feeling, one she almost couldn't explain. It just clicked. Shiloh Molina loved Ricky Bowen and wouldn't do anything to change how they came to be.

She loved Ricky and knew that he wouldn't do anything to harm there relationship... until Dylan came into play.

No more thoughts could run through Ricky's mind as Channing came in, complaining at best, but got a few good shots of everyone not being themselves.

"And action."

The scene starred Shiloh, Ricky, and Jet. Simple enough.

Shiloh walked on stage, her script in hands, "I'm sorry. So sorry."

"Oh, no. Are you okay?" Jet read.

But he was too kind. He was the bad boy in all of this, he has to play the part.

"I'm fine." Shiloh sighed, "How embarrassing. I..."

Jet rolled his eyes and faced EJ, "Director, I don't get Hans. He's kinda lame. Can we get him to be rougher or something?"

"Are you questioning me as a director slash actor?"

"I think maybe that's something I would do."

"Let's keep going."

"Hi." Ricky smiled, "Can I ask you lovebird something?"

Shiloh laughed, "Lovebirds? No. We've actually never met."

"But we're meeting now." Jet said in a low voice.

Shiloh furrowed her brows and glanced between the three boys on stage, "Yeah, we are."

"Great. Do you like cold drinks?"

"Very much." Jet continued in his low voice.

"What are you doing with your voice, dude?" Ricky asked in a hushed tone.

"I don't know, but it hurts."

Soon, Maddox began crying, Kourtney slapped Carlos, and Channing began his ten-one.

"How are we both doing?" Carlos asked the couple.

"Being the best shrink I can be." Shiloh smiled.

"Jealous."

"Excellent." Carlos smiled, "This is the last song of the day, so let's go out and really sell it. Capisce? Remember, Ricky, Dylan is back and here for Shiloh. He's doing whatever he can to get her back. Shiloh you're the shrink who doesn't see any of this coming. It writes itself."

"Does it?" Ricky asked.

"Ricky, what's your motivation?"

"Jealous?"

"Yes. and you're angry that Dylan is back. You're showing Shiloh off and what he missed out on."

"Do we have to show me off?" Shiloh asked, "I think what we have flowing now is good."

"This is for Hollywood, babe. Showing you off is what you do best." Carlos said, "Let's do this."

Carlos walked off leaving Ricky and Shiloh alone.

"You okay?" Ricky asked.

"Yeah, just, um, pretending to be someone I'm not for the sake of everyone isn't really fun." She sighed, "And, hey, don't worry about Dylan, okay? No need to put this jealous boyfriend act on for the cameras. Dylan and I are so, so over. It's you and I, okay?"

"You and I." Ricky smiled.

As much as you and I meant to Ricky, he already had something against Dylan and he didn't really know the dude. The jealous boyfriend act wasn't an act anymore.

"Hey, guys," Val called, "I know we've barely run this song, so just mark it. Use the space but be safe. Half-energy."

"Gotta agree." EJ called, "No reason to go crazy, you guys."

"Have fun!" Jenna smiled.

"But Hans is not a stranger." Shiloh scoffed, reading as Anna.

"Okay. So what's his last name?" Ricky asked as Kristoff.

"Of the Southern Isles."

"Hmm. Uh... Foot size?"

"Foot size doesn't matter."

"But knowing a man before you marry him kinda does."

The upbeat song had started and Shiloh couldn't have expected any of the next moves to come from Ricky Bowen of all people.

He had lifted Shiloh from the ground, spun her around, caught her in his arms. He even pinned her against the wall. It was a lot that she couldn't even process in the moment.

"Wow. You're really strong."

"What do you know about love?"

"I lift a lot of ice." Ricky smirked, walking away from the girl, never really noting the expression she held.

The song finally ended. Ricky and Shiloh standing in close proximity to each other and that's when Ricky finally noticed the somber look on Shiloh's face.

It was enough for him to snap back into whatever reality he'd been in and actually take notice.

"Are you okay?" He asked in as hushed tone.

Shiloh stepped back, all eyes on them and specially the camera Channing held in his hands.

She walked off stage and out the barn door.

"Okay..." Jenna awkwardly smiled, "Let's take a big break, everyone."

Carlos gestured towards Dylan, who finally got the memo.

"I'll go talk to her."

"Hey, dude, you don't-"

Dylan sighed, "I think you're the last person she wants to speak to right now."

With that said, Dylan left the barn and Ricky sighed sitting down on the steps.

"Ricky, you really showed Dylan who's the man." Carlos smiled, "Now he knows she officially off the table."

"Great." Ricky sighed.

THINGS HAD finally died down and Ricky was heading back to the barn, but he didn't get very far as Dylan stopped.

"Are you good?" Dylan asked.

"Yeah." Ricky answered, "This isn't about me. It's about Shiloh. What'd she say?"

"I- I didn't speak to Shiloh." Dylan said, "I think that it's best that you speak to her."

Ricky held furrowed brows, "Why didn't you talk to her?"

"Are you mad that I didn't speak to her? I thought that would've been the last thing you wanted from me."

"She's upset and-"

"Ahh." Dylan smiled, "I see what this is. You weren't joking. You actually jealous. This is gold, Bowen. I don't wanna be with Shiloh. I messed up one too many times. I promise she wants nothing to do with me. I came because I was offered twenty bucks and to try and talk to Shiloh about personal things. She's always been that one person to sit and listen to what I have to say. You should know that better than anyone."

"So the whole "my girl" thing was-"

"To get under your skin so you could slap me in front of that Channing guy. Which was kind of a waste because I saw Kourtney slap Carlos and he got it on camera, so it was a good slap Ricky, but kinda wasted."

Ricky sighed. Shiloh had been visibly upset and he couldn't dig up a reason that she was.

"Do you know where she is?" Ricky asked.

"I think I saw her heading back to the barn a couple minutes ago."

Ricky made his way to the barn and soon paused in his place, the sight of his girlfriend sitting on one of the benches attached to the barn.

Her legs were tucked close to her chin and beat up, pink vans stood out the most.

"Sorry if I was a little intense back there."

Shiloh glanced up and gave Ricky a small smile. She didn't bother speaking.

He knew that she was upset with him, but he never intended to take it that from with the dance. He sighed and took a seat across from her.

Shiloh took in a deep breath and looked over at him, "I think it's a me thing."

"What do you mean?"

"Do you remember what I said about showing you off to the world? How I wasn't ready for it?"

Ricky nodded, so she continued, "Did that offend you? Like, did you think that I was ashamed to show our relationship off?"

Ricky furrowed his brows, "No, Shiloh. Why would you think that? Was it because of what I did back there? Because I'm so sorry-"

"It's just" She sighed, "I will never get use to whatever my life is now. And once that documentary comes out, it will still never set in that people are looking me. I have fan pages and hate pages... that's only going to grow isn't it?"

Shiloh wasn't even that bothered by Ricky showing off like that. It had finally set in that she was this person that some kids looked up to. Her life had changed overnight and she couldn't handle that. She had accumulated millions on followed on Instagram and Twitter. These famous influencers followed her and wanted to meet the club.

Shiloh had her moments of starstruck, like when she got meet and greet tickets to meet the Jonas Brother, but now? People wanted to meet her. She wasn't Ariana Grande or Zendaya. No one taught her the in's and out's of this industry and it was only going to grow once this documentary came out.

"You and Evie, Jenna, Ashley, Madison, everyone in the theater department, that was my normal. And once the world sees you, I will never know privacy anymore." She explained, "I guess it just set in at the wrong time that I have to let the world see a whole new side of me. Nothing can prepare me for that."

"We can work on it together." Ricky said, "You're not alone, Shiloh. This is gonna be different for everyone. It's just a bigger step for you. But you're not alone."

"I know. I just... I want you to that I really do care about you Ricky and nothing will change that."

Ricky held a small smile and grabbed Shiloh's hand, "I know." He sighed, "And that whole dance thing I was just-"

"Jealous?" She chuckled, "I know. I wish you told me you were actually jealous. I would done something to make you feel at ease. But there's nothing to be jealous of, I promise."

"Dylan and I talked. We're good for now."

"Hey." Channing called, "Lovebirds, Love Club girl and her Labrador boyfriend, you two. I forgot something." He said rushing inside.

"Labrador?" Ricky questioned.

"It makes sense." Shiloh laughed.

The duo headed inside for the photo and that's when things seemed to go downhill.

EJ held a somber look as Gina and Victoria walked inside, laughing at something.

"All right, smile, guys." EJ said, "We're almost home."

"Almost home as in Salt Lake or St. Louis?" Gina asked.

"Wait. What?"

"Are you confused? Welcome to the club."

Evie leaned over towards Shiloh, "What is she talking about?"

"Your guess is as good as mine, but I can assure you this isn't going to end well."

"What's the about St. Louis?" Channing asked.

"I think we should focus on the photo." Shiloh smiled, "Can't have Mr. Danforth think you're slacking off."

Channing finally snapped the photo and left the group alone.

"Well, that couldn't have gone longer." Ashlyn joked.

"I, for one, am looking forward to being reviled by America." Ricky said.

Ashley smiled and slapped his shoulder, "They'll love you Ricky."

"You know, a simple thank you would do the trick." Carlos said.

"Guys," Kourtney called, "can we just stop getting worked up over this, okay? If we can't pull this summer together, then we're gonna have bigger problems than just labels on a poster. If we can't do this right they're gonna edit me out the show."

"Okay, do you wanna take it down like a thousand?" Carlos asked, "Being this anxious all the time is literally bad for your skin."

"Um, I'm sorry. What was that word?"

"Anxious?"

Kourtney turned and faced Gina, "Did you tell him what my mom..."

"Wait."

"Told me what?"

"Guys, this is all a natural response 59 a day of high tensions and intense emotions, so let's just walk it off, take a deep breath..." Val stated before Ashlyn cut her off.

Which led to Maddox assuming that Ashlyn had a crush on Val and soon enough Maddox and Jet started arguing.

"Can you just once stop telling everyone who they are and how they should be?" Jet asked.

"Oh, you're talking to me now?"

"Forget it. You're just gonna yell."

"Yeah, that's right, Jet. Make me the bad guy, once again."

"Did I miss an episode of our reality show? Did these two know each other before camp?" Ricky asked.

"Look, Maddie, I'm here aren't I? I'm trying."

"Because you were forced to come here after you literally got expelled from school. Or are we just pretending that didn't happen?"

"You have never let me explain that."

"Then why don't you also explain why you didn't show up to my fifteenth birthday party? Explain why I lose all my confidence when you're around me, and heck, Jet, why don't you explain why you told Mom and Dad about me and Madison when you found her texts in my phone? Explain that."

Jet sighed, leaving the barn and the others confused.

"I need to sit down. I need to lie down." Ricky said, covering his ears.

"Guess there are a lot of secrets floating around." Gina said.

EJ and Gina talked in front of the others and Ashlyn soon approached.

"Elton John Caswell, I am so disappointed in you."

"Wait. That's what "EJ" stands for?" Evie laughed.

"Huh, Rocket Man."

Gina laughed, "Another thing I didn't know." She turned and faced Shiloh, "Did you know that?"

"I didn't even know his dad's name was Cash Caswell. Elton John?"

"I always assumed you were, like, Eric Junior."

"I thought you were Ethan James, you know, something normal." Evie smiled.

"You guys!" Ricky shouted, "Jet and Maddox are siblings?"

With that said, very loudly we might add, Gina left the barn and the many others disbanded.

In her desperate search for her sister after the disbandment, Victoria sighed. She sat down on one of the benches near a secluded area and soon hear footsteps approaching her.

"Hey, you okay?" Ricky asked.

"Yeah... no." She sighed, "Do you know where Shiloh is?"

"I think she called an emergency Love Club meeting. She might be busy for a few hours." He answered, "But you can talk to me. I'm like the next best thing."

Ricky chuckled and joined Victoria's side, her hands ruffled in her hair.

"When did you know that you liked Shiloh?"

"Um," Ricky smiled, "I was trying to teach her how to skate and play guitar. She was never really good at either of them. Then I cried in front of her and she didn't judge me. I think that's when I knew."

Victoria sighed, "Great story for the grandkids. I could've used a shorter summary." She said, "I think... I know I like Gina, but is it weird that I've only know her for this amount of time? Like it's not-"

"Tori." Ricky laughed, "It's fine. I'm pretty sure Shiloh would say that it's normal."

"Can this stay between you and I until I get a chance to talk to Shiloh?"

"Of course."

The two of them heard, what sounded like a branch braking. They turned and saw Channing standing there recording the whole thing before dashing off.

Everything that happened today seemed to be only growing worse and worse. What else could go wrong?

It was the East High kids... a lot could go wrong.
