Broppy movie date night...

Later that afternoon Branch got in his car and texted Poppy telling her he was coming.

Poppy looked at herself in the mirror she saw she had some bruises on her her arms, wrist, and thighs, she sighed she was scared of what Creek did and for a bit she was wondering if she should call it off today with Branch, but she didn't want to be there when Creek came back. Her phone went off and saw it was Branch she grabbed her bag and she was wearing a pretty yellow sundress and her hair was down as she ran outside seeing Branch waiting at the passenger door.

''Hey Branch.'' She smiles feeling happy.

''Hey Poppy ready to go?'' He asked kissing her she pushed him away looking around and got in.

Branch shut her door and got in and looked at her she was quiet but smiling and he had a feeling something was up. ''Sorry.''

''Its not that Branch its just what if someone saw you doing that it could get back to Creek.'' She said worried looking around.

''Nah who would, but anyway ready to go?'' He asked.

''Yes please step on it.'' She urged grabbing his arm.

He took off and they went to one of the theaters and they went in paid for the tickets, got popcorn and drinks and went to go see The Holiday.

While the movie was playing Branch and Poppy were watching and Branch placed his arm slowly around Poppy's shoulder as she leaned into his shoulder feeling happy and safe.

Half an hour in the couple looked at each other and Branch leaned over starting to give her a sweet quick kiss and pulls away, Poppy was shocked and was a bit annoyed he did that and left her wanting more, he had a smirk
on his face, and she grabbed his vest pulling him back into another but passionate kiss. They moaned quietly his hand went to the back of her neck rubbing her shoulder and the other ran down her chest to her knee squeezing it gently.

Poppy loved this and felt the sparks again she used both hands to hold his vest as they continued to makeout they were in the very back so nobody saw them and after a few minutes they pulled away slowly smiling, cuddling and holding hands as they watched the rest of the movie and made out here and there.

After the movie the couple came out laughing and talking.

''Yeah I can't believe she was still hung over Jasper I mean the guy did nothing for her and he was engaged.'' Branch said rolling his eyes.

''Yes but she was way into Miles as well so it was there slow but I'm happy they ended up together.'' Poppy smiles as they walk back to his car.

''But I'm glad Gram got the girl in the end.'' Branch said.

''Yeah and Amanda really loved him it was true love left and right.'' Poppy giggled.

''So where should we go for dinner tonight?'' He asked looking at her.

''I don't know I'm pretty hungry.'' She said.

Before he could answer his phone went off and saw a text from Hickory and looked at Poppy, how would you feel about going to the Stakehouse with me on a double date?'' He asked.

''Sure I love stake!'' She grinned.

''Great but are you sure? If you want it to be just you and me I'm fine with that.'' He said leaving the option opened

''Are you kidding me I'd love to do a double date!'' She said excitedly.

''Great!'' He kisses her cheek and texted Hickory.

''So who is this other couple?'' She asked curiously.

''Oh you remember how you met Trollex, well this is my other buddy Hickory and his girl-- becareful he's a bit of a flirt when it comes to pretty trolls.'' Branch warned sighing.

''Hmm ok I'll try not to take it seriously.'' She nugged them as she giggled and they went to the Stakehouse.

Once there they went inside and heard a voice. ''BRANCH!''

They turned to see a handsome male country troll coming wearing a brown vest and hat followed with a red headed beautiful country troll wearing a green and white flannel shirt.

''HICKORY!'' Called Branch as they chest bumped.

''Glad you could make it.'' Hickory said.

''Thanks nice to see you again Delta.'' Branch said smiling at the female.

''Aww thanks sugar.'' She smiles hugging him.

''And Branch who is this beautiful lady you got?'' Asked Hickory looking at Poppy.

''Oh yes Hickory, Delta I'd like you to meet my girlfriend Poppy. Poppy I'd like to introduce you to my work partner Hickory and his gal Delta.'' Branch said meeting the two.

''Hi nice to meet you, your just as handsome as Branch said.'' Poppy giggled.

Branch rolled his eyes and Hickory chuckled. ''Well thank you ma'am I'll take that as a compliment.''

''Hickory leave her alone and stop flirting.'' Delta said coming over to Poppy.

''Pay no attention to him he is a flirt, now lets go sit down.'' Delta linked arms with Poppy as they went.

''Sounds great!'' Poppy said taking a liking to Delta.

''She pretty Branch your lucky.'' Hickory said.

''Thanks lets go.'' They followed the girls.

That evening the couple were talking and eating enjoying themselves, Delta and Poppy were fast friends, and Hickory and Poppy loved joking.

''So what do you do Poppy?'' Asked Delta.

''Nothing I just stay at home I can't work its not right for a lady to work.'' Poppy rolled her eyes quoting Creek.

''What says who?'' Delta asked shocked.

Poppy looked down. ''Creek.''

''Remember Delta when I mentioned the affair Branch was having, Poppy is his girl.'' Hickory said.

''Oh no you poor thing.'' Delta said shaking her head she heard a lot about Creek.

''Yeah-- we don't love each other and he's mean, and doesn't want me to work always checking up on me and leaving me in the middle of something.'' She looked down.

''Sounds like a colorful piece of work and he runs yoga studio's?'' She asked. ''If you need me to I'll go give him a piece of my mind.'' Delta offered.

''Yeah.'' Poppy said.

''And he beats you up to right?'' She asked nodding at her arm.

Branch looks and saw her arm he was mentally hitting himself from not looking at her arms.

''No he wanted to have sex this morning I said no and he grabbed me roughly asking where I was last night because he came home waiting for me and well he got a call before he did anything and left.'' Poppy said turning red.

Hickory and Delta looked worried, Branch finally spoke. ''Why don't you report him?''

''I can't he's buddies with the cops and he pays them.'' She said.

''Well anytime you need to stay somewhere safe I'm here for you.'' Delta said.

''Thanks.'' Poppy smiled.

The rest of the evening they forgot about Creek and had fun finally the four left and Branch and Poppy were laughing as they drove.

''This is such a fun date.'' Poppy said.

''Yeah it was, should I take you home?'' He asked.

''Nah Creek grabbed a bag and is staying out overnight.'' Poppy shrugged.

''I see so want to go to my place then?'' He asked.

''Yes Please!'' She laughed.

Branch smiles and leans over kissing her as he drove sure they were gonna have fun when they got back but they were also gonna have a talk.

They smile and he held her hand as they sit in happy silence.
