《Reiki's POV》

I walked through the village, after a long day at the academy. I look behind me at Sasuke,

"Hurry up, Slowpoke or we'll miss Itachi before he leaves for his mission!"

We rushed to the compound when I sensed something was off and looked around cautiously as Sasuke ran ahead to our house,

"Wait!", I yelled at him but he didn't listen so I chased after him when I heard screams and I looked over to where it came from to see a masked man with a katana killing people who I've known and grew up with indiscriminately.

I felt a wave of fear, sadness and anger wash over me my eyes tingling when I remembered Sasuke and ran towards our house.

I found Sasuke standing in the hallway facing the living room transfixed in fear, I ran up to him to see Itachi standing there behind our parents a katana raised.

I ran towards them hoping to reach them before his blade found it's mark willing myself  to go faster, to save them....

I was too slow they were cut down in front of me and Sasuke and at that moment something in me broke as rage took over, the air turning frigid. I rushed towards him my fists coated in what seemed to be ice landing a hit which he deflected with his blade before slicing upwards which I was fast enough to just barely dodge it but not unharmed he managed to hit my left leg a gash visible as blood poured out causing me to falter and fall.

"This the end for you little brother", Itachi said his sharingan gleaming bright red as he raised his blade and looked me dead in the eye.

I glared at him coldly before saying,
"Do it. Kill me.....and then what you turn and kill Sasuke like you are gonna do to me?", He didn't respond and just looked at me.

"I'm not gonna plead or beg for my life......I just wanna know why you did this to mom and dad....to our clan....your family".

I raised my hand and reached for his face stroking his cheek reverently smiling softly,

"Goodbye Nii~san......Goodbye Sasuke....I'm sorry I couldn't protect you....", closing my eyes waiting for the blow that would kill me.....

I open my eyes activating my sharingan and looking around the room expecting to see Itachi above me with his katana only to see nothing.

I sighed and got out of bed looking out the window trying to remember how I ended up here as the sky lit up in a myriad of colours indicating it was dawn.

I headed to where the bathroom was and showered cleaning away the layers of grime from yesterday before grabbing the shampoo lathering my hair in it scouring myself with a bar of soap before rinsing off the suds and wrapping a towel around my waist before looking for a spare change of clothes and a tanto knife.

I found a black top with an upturned collar and the Uchiha symbol on it's back along with a pair of black boxers, trousers and my sandals. I sighed and muttered pulling on the boxers,

"This is seriously creepy", I grabbed the top and pulled it over my head before pulling on the trousers, holstering my ninja tools to my left thigh and strapping my tanto knife to my back before strapping sandals onto my feet.

I opened the door and rushed out when I felt a chill run down my spine causing me to leap back instinctively pulling out a kunai.

"Boo", I spun around my kunai at their throat realising who it was,

"You."

"Wow what a reaction to the one who trained you", He stepped back and glared at me, "Such disrespect will get you killed, Rei~kun", He said sweetly his tone not matching his eyes.

I bit my tongue hard,

"My apologies, Subaru~senpai", saying his name sent a shiver down my spine as he smiled and clapped like a little kid.

A little bit of backstory on him, he's one of the best assassins in the Five nations. He's also my sadistic teacher who trained me to be an Assassin, like himself, until Kazekage~sama sent me to the Leaf to improve my skills and refine my kekkei genkai.

"What are you doing here anyways, Subaru~senpai?",I asked cautiously.
His eyes narrowed and he smiled coldly,

"Me? I'm here to kill your beloved Hokage", He smirked at the look on my face and jumped off the balcony disappearing into the wind.
"I hate it when he does that!", I said angrily before replaying what he said in my head

"Me? I'm gonna kill your beloved Hokage", Did Kazekage~sama send him here to kill Hiruzen? If that's the case I should warn him....

"I have a bad feeling about this....", I said aloud hearing someone respond behind me,

"A bad feeling about what?", I spun around fist raised to see a guy with blue hair and white eyes which helped me identify them as a Hyuga.

"Who are you?", I asked him, "Me? I'm Yuka Hyūga from the Branch Family"
"Ok", I answered simply scanning his body realising something.

"You aren't a guy, are you?", I asked her which she answered coyly.
"You catch on quickly", She smiled and winked at me, "But no, I'm not a guy I'm a girl"

《Yuka's POV》

I smirked at the Uchiha's dumbfounded expression when he realised I'm a girl and not a guy.

"Anyways, I heard your pretty strong from those who saw your fight with Minako yesterday", I said in order to gauge his reaction.

"Not strong enough to save my......", He faltered, "I'm not strong enough......I can't protect those I care about", I looked at him closer.

"Ok then I've decided", I announced suddenly seeing him look at me confusedly,"I'm one of the strongest in my clan if you can beat me maybe you'll be able to save those you care about", I said with a mischievous smirk seeing his eyes light up at the challenge.

"Are you sure you want to do that?", He asked me his eyes shone hungrily sending chills down my spine, "I'm sure but after we graduate from the academy.....think of it as a reward if you pass", at which he smiled excitedly.

I shook my head and smiled back at him and thought,

'He's so caught up in his desire to get stronger'

He noticed me looking at him and moved closer to the point I could detect the faint scent of lavender shampoo at which I inhaled before sighing and noticing how his eyes glistened in the light and the slight curl of his hair at his ear......

'His eyes are like lavender it's so beautiful.....'

"You are beautiful", I said aloud and felt my face heat before turning away and backing away from him, "I-i didn't mean that", I stammered hearing him chuckle which embarrassed me further as I turned my back to him and jumped off the railing lost in my thoughts and scolding myself.

"Why did I say that? Why does my heart feel like this?", I said before coming to a standstill and punching the tree I was on hard leaving an imprint of my fist in the bark of the tree.

"I should head to school and forget about what just happened?", I asked myself before nodding and heading in that direction.

《Reiki's POV》

I watched the Hyūga girl jump over the railing her face tinged red scratching the back of my head in confusion,

"Did I do something?", I contemplated scratching the back of my head before making my way down the stairs and through the village lost in thought.

'Girl's are so confusing....they always keep you guessing well every girl but her...', My thoughts shifted to Minako, 'You always seem to know what that knucklehead is thinking....She never keeps me guessing it's always one thing with her'.

I sighed and my thoughts wandered as I felt my face heat, 

'Not like that....even though she's pretty attractive and my type....Beautiful red hair, clear blue eyes.....she looks so cute when she's angry', I stopped and stood still before pinching my arm hard.

"Snap out of it", I muttered under my breath feeling the hateful glares of the villagers on my back as I walked passed them feeling their bloodlust and hatred for me as clear as day which I ignored and made my way to the academy entrance and headed in when I bumped into a girl about year younger than me with dark blue hair and white eyes.....but it couldn't be.

"Are you Hinata?", I asked skeptically as the girl looked at me long and hard before nodding," I-i am H-hinata", She stammered nervously.

I stepped back a bit and she looked at me,

"I'm Reiki. Do you remember me? I used to be in the year above you about 6 years ago? You'd always come to me for help with training", I said as her eyes widened, "It's you?", She smiled softly her cheeks tinged pink in happiness as she wrapped her arms around me in a hug.

I stood there frozen before I relaxed into the hug and patted her head,

"You've gotten so tall and strong", I said feeling myself smile before pulling away.

"It's been along time....", I said as I looked at her, "So have you told him?"
She looked at me and blushed red at the thought of him before shaking her head,"I-i haven't told N-naruto~kun", She stammered as I nodded,"I see.....You'll have the courage to tell him one day but for now let's head to class"

She looked at me and smiled before nodding and heading inside as I followed from behind.

I sat at the back of the class away from Sasuke's fangirls who were glaring at me in hatred. I sighed,

'Six years on and they still swarm him like a pack of dogs'.

I turn away from them looking at the people who walk in expecting to see the redhead walk in fuming in anger when she sees me only to see her walk in and looking completely drained.

'I guess she hasn't fully recovered from our fight yesterday', I got up out of my seat and headed towards her when she stumbled and fell as the whole class laughed.

I felt my anger rise as the air got colder around me as I tried my best to keep from exploding before walking up to her and helping her up,

"She's such a loser", One guy said and I felt something inside me snap as I helped her to her seat my rage boiling.

I looked at her my sharingan gleaming with anger,

"Stay here and rest for a bit", I said softly before turning away from her my hand going to my back my fingers curled around the hilt of my blade before unsheathing it coating it with my chakra.

'Do it. Kill them. Let your anger take over.', Subaru's voice resounded through my mind as I leapt forward and swung my blade going for the kid's head when a silver-haired male deflected my blade just as it was going to hit the nape of his neck.

"You really shouldn't do that", He said as the boy backed way with a look of utter fear on his face,"So you are the other Uchiha survivor?"

I gritted my teeth and used my free hand to weave handsigns," Ice Release: Ice Sword Technique", as a blade of ice formed in my hand and I slashed upward at him.

He leapt backwards before summoning a dozen shadow clones,

"Tch. I give up", I said with a sigh," I know who you are anyways, Kakashi Hatake of the Sharingan"

He chuckled and glared at me, "Seems the transfer student has some knowledge"

I released my jutsu and glared at the student behind Kakashi who cowered in fear which made me smile.

"Next time any of you make any remarks about anyone without knowing what they've been through.....", I smiled coldly, the air turning frigid causing them to shudder, "I'll kill you."

I closed my eyes and sighed deeply before sitting next to Minako who looked at me with a mixture of anger and fatigue.

"Why'd you stick up for me, Dumbass?", She asked me, "Still calling me names", I muttered before answering her question, "I did it because it's not right for them to pick on you and Naruto for no reason which is why I decided that if no one else will I'd look out for you two"

I looked away feeling my face turn red at which she smiled at,
"I.....I appreciate it, Reiki", She said with a closed-eyed smile, "This doesn't mean we are friends just that I've acknowledged you as my rival"

I smiled, "You'll have to surpass me first", I looked over my shoulder and saw the girl from this morning coming towards me.

She grabs my shirt leaning in,
"Who are you, really?", She asked anger in her voice,

"You aren't like everyone else.....if that Jonin hadn't interfered you would've killed him!?"

I looked up at her with a smile,
"I'm Reiki Uchiha."

《Yuka's POV》
He looked at me with a smile,

"I'm Reiki Uchiha.", I gripped his shirt tighter at which he grabbed my arm gripping it tightly.

I howled in pain still not loosening my grip,

"You asked me who I was, right?", He said looking at me coldly, "I'm the younger brother of the one who killed our clan, Itachi Uchiha."

I gulped and looked into his eyes which were cold and hard like flint but I noticed something flickering on the surface - Sadness.

I loosened my grip and looked at him before sighing,

"I apologise for my actions toward you", I said which surprised him as he let go of my arm and rubbed the back of his neck.

"It's no problem, forget about it", He said putting up emotional walls to block what he was feeling.

I walked back and sat in my seat when Iruka cleared his throat after Kakashi had whispered something to him before leaving the room and he began calling names.

I sat there for about 30 minutes drifting in and out of daydreams when Iruka called a name that snapped me out of my daze.

"Reiki Uchiha, since you've demonstrated you can already produce a fair amount of clones we have tasked you with a different assignment to see if you'll pass", He said looking around the room his eyes stopping at me.

"Your task is to fight one of the Hidden Leaf's prodigies which in this case happens to be, Hyūga Yuka", He said boredly as if he'd rather skip him entirely.

He got up and looked at me with a smile on his face,

"Let's go, Hothead", He said ruffling his hair.

I got up feeling my face heat before cracking my knuckles and glaring at him angrily,

'This guy really pisses me off', I thought my anger rising

He walked out of the class and I followed behind him as the students in our class bustled out pushing and shoving as he led us to the training grounds before Iruka patted him on his shoulder,

"I expect both of you not to hold back", He said looking at me directly.

'I'm definitely not gonna pull my punches with this guy', I thought when my brother - Neji - walked up to me.

"Yuka.", He addressed me keeping an eye on Reiki, "This guy isn't to be messed with be sure to go all out from the start, understand?", He lectured.

I rolled my eyes and looked at him,

"Understood, Nii~San", I said keeping a stern watch on my opponent as my brother backed away.

Iruka stepped forward from the crowd of people who gathered,

"I'll serve as Procter for this match. The rules are simple the first to incapacitate the other or force them to surrender wins", He said looking at us both,

"Begin."

Ty: Oooooohhh a cliffhanger? I wonder how that will turn out?
Minako: *rubs her head* You had to keep me awake for this chapter? Also since when is that doofus my rival? 
Reiki: True my skills easily surpass yours
Minako: Why you- *topples over from fatigue*
Ty: *sighs* See you in the next chapter....
