"Robyn, your father and I have been talking and have agreed that you need a little brother or sister" Robyn was looking at them shocked, confused at the damaged parents in front of her "really?" they nod the mother smiles happily, "yeah, we think it will help and you will have a someone to spend some time with."

"Robyn, do you want to meet your brother?" Robyn's dad say neutral faced, there was a slight glow of happiness or pride but Robyn knew it wouldn't last. They nod feigning a smile and getting off the chair and taking her dads hand, and walking into the room where her mum was nursing a small bundle of blankets.

"Robyn sweetie, do you want to meet your brother?" She looks at the small face just showing above the blue blanket small wisps of blonde hair on the top, they looked peaceful sleeping Robyn's fake smile turned genuine as something small clicked in her, telling her to protect this small being in the blanket.

Her mum noticed this change and giggled "do you want to hold him?" Robyn nodded happily ignoring the feeling of dread for things later to come, her dad helped her onto the bed and got her comfortable, instantly Robyn reached out for the baby, eyes shining the pure light blue she inherited from her mother. There was silent chuckle as her mum gave her the slumbering baby.

As soon as the baby was in her arms, the pull to be holding this baby was strong looking at the baby they smiled slightly in their sleep, robyn giggles just focusing on the tiny human in her arms, "do you have any names?" looking deep into the baby soft feature they loosen up reading their caring aura.

There was arguing down the hall as Robyn woke up from Patton waking up and getting upset. Robyn runs to the 3 month-olds cot picking him us the shouting got louder and Patton began to whine, Robyn starting hushing him and calming him down not realising that her eyes glowed a soft baby blue the light easing the baby enough to convince them to go back to sleep.

Robyn puts him back into his cot and quietly shuffles out of the room towards the shouting in the lounge. Going to the kitchen where most of the shouting is. when she enters the shout goes away and they stare at the five year-old "R-Robyn sweetie what are you doing awake?" The mothers tone was sickly sweet laced with annoyance, she got a glass out of the drawer and went to the fridge to get the cold water, "your shouting woke patton... I needed to put him back to sleep."

The silence was everything and deafning then a growl came from her father "see!? i knew that we shouldn't have had another! why did we decide to have another!" Robyn flinched although she knew this was going to happen they didn't realise it would be so soon.

"We can't care for two children and try to fix this mess! we should never have done this! were not soul mates it was never going to work out and we should have known that!" robyn looked at her mother and her father as she began begging "no, no, no please don't do this! i can't look after them by myself! Please don't!"

Her father storms into the lounge, "if we can't look after them we'll give them to someone who will!"
