Trigger warning- blood, bleeding out uhh death??

The car came to a steady halt in front of a large building, at the end of a cul-de-sac it was white with clean windows and light brown roof tiles, the garden was looked after and had a large fence bordering the large property.

"Robyn, take care of your brother. We never intended for this to happen to him" her 'dad' says to the five-year-old, they nod determined to not let this get to her, not yet at least.

she gets the two large bags filled with things that the two would need. then goes to her brother asleep in their car seat silently as she manages to get him out. "goodbye, I hope you find what you were missing, and I'm sorry we couldn't be that for you" she says carefully leaving the man and the woman who was silently sobbing in the front. she closes the back car door and walks up the footpath to the large building.

Patton stirs but doesn't wake as she knocks on the front door.

"Patton! Where are you?" There was the sound of giggling as Robyn searched for her 7-year-old baby brother, she giggled looking under her bed seeing nothing she moved to the closet, after looking at the bottom and searching in the nooks and crannies finding nothing she looked around the room confused.

there was a rush of footsteps and soon a small boy with dirty blonde curly hair slammed into his 12-year-old sister tackling her to the ground in a flurry of giggles and cuddles. "Robyn! you couldn't find me!" Robyn laughed at Patton's excitement, "yeah sorry kiddo, you're just so good at hide and seek! I think your cheating with how good your getting!" there was a small whine from the boy complaining that he wasn't cheating.

Robyn chuckles and hugs him after sitting up from the ground. Patton looked outside, there was a look in his eye Robyn knew all too well, "thinking about them?" he nods his glasses slipping down his nose and the movement, he fixes them as his eyes are downcast almost ashamed of his thoughts, "why are you thinking about them?" she asks gently rubbing his back.

Patton looks at his hands, "Why did they leave us? Did they not want me? Did they not care?" Robyn looks at her brother just holding it together, "they wanted us, they really did but they didn't have a way to look after us when they weren't able to care for each other" Robyn says carefully reading her little brothers features.

he takes a shaky breath, "they left me before they even got the chance to know me" tears slipping and escaping from the glassy-eyed prison, Robyn pulled him into a tight hug as he finally broke sobbing into her shoulder, Robyn's eyes glowed a baby blue to comfort and to calm the broken boy, he hugged her tighter almost like a lifeline, if she let go she might fade away leaving Patton on his own.

Robyn took a shaky breath looking outside nervously, "Patton, they loved you very much but they couldn't look after us. I'm so sorry Patton, but don't be afraid I'm not leaving you anytime soon."  Patton cried harder into her shoulder still lot seeing the strange blue glow of their sisters' eyes.

Patton was sitting by himself at the playground during lunch eating his apple by himself looking up at the sky cloud gazing, there was a sound of footsteps towards the quiet boy, "what are you doing loner?" one of the people asked as patton looked over seeing the group walk "eating" patton chirps to the group happily. the leader of the group sneers at the blubblyness he was showing.

"why are you so happy? you have no family! no mom or dad or actually a home to go home to! your alone!" patton flinched from the shouting, he never understood why the shouting got to him all the time.

They continued to shout at him causing him to feel small, thinking how his sister was getting to turn fifteen soon and prepared to go to highschool, they'd never lost touch at all and she seemed to still care for patton and support him. but a switch flicked seeing how she had remained quiet reserved never really telling him everything.

"Hey patt how was your day kiddo?" robyn asks picking her little brother up from school, patton was silent during the walk not talking to her just remaining quiet and thinking about his sister with anger.

"kiddo is everything ok? you've been quiet the entire walk home" robyn asks trying to start a conversation, "you say your never going to leave me but.. your lying" patton says glaring at her, she was confused "kiddo.. wheres all of this coming from? why would I lie to you?" she say gently, patton looks deep into her blue eyes trying to read something anything. But all he read was kindness it made him feel uneasy. All he could read was love, kindness, fear.

"people always leave." patton mumbles looking anywhere but at his sister. they got to their home for the last roughly six-ish years. there was a pain and a sadness in her brother voice, robyn hadnt heard in in a while.

That happened two months ago, hes only gotten more hostile to Robyn, constantly pushing her away, it hurt her to see her brother do this.

But there was no way for her to fix it.

One night Robyn awoke to some small instinct begging her to protect. She quietly shuffled out of bed and tiptoed to her brothers normally closed door, there was a man in all black walking around with a mask coming their face, so she stood in front of her brothers door keeping it protected since it was the first door in the hallway to the other rooms next to hers across from him.
Soon a man came up the hall freezing seeing the girl standing at the door protectively, "what are you doing up little girl?" They say sickly sweet she had a stern expression, "don't go in there, or I'll call the police, leave with what you have and I won't report you."

They chuckle at the 14-year-olds warning, and run and hand down the girls cheek making her scowl at it and move further away "No. You don't get to make the rules, you're in my home stealing from us I have the rules and I could scream right now and wake everyone up, do you want that?" She says the man paled as he looked around at the time, he began to get frantic before he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife and without a thought stabbed the girl making her gasp as the feeling of pain overwhelmed her.

she stumbled and opened the door slamming back on its hinges, not managing to go far leaning against the doorway and she slid down to the ground holding the stab would that bled out painting the hand and clothing scarlet.

Seeing the person asleep in the bedroom, this was his room, she was in her brothers room "Pat... Patton? Help please? I- I'm sorry for everything, please don't forget me please!" Her calls went sleeping ears she sobbed as the pain from the wound over took her senses and made her eyes glow white then a pale blue.

The fade was slow and she coughed up blood but by the end of the night, she was faded. Giving the room and empty new light the blood faded with here leaving the door wide open and a soft aura around Patton.

Patton remained asleep.

Robyn glowed then formed in front of people? They all had beautiful angelic wings all different "i... who are you, where am i?" She whimpered to them, they all had a look of sadness and pain, her clothes had changed from pyjamas to a pale blue T-shirt and white jeans, "Robyn, welcome to home, we've been expecting you, my name is Thomas" Thomas spoke and approached holding their hand out, Robyn looked at the person and smiles seeing the rainbow wings,

"nice to meet you Mr Thomas, can you please help me?"
