This chapter will mostly explain how Y/N got the armor and what happened.

Y/N: Do you really want to know? *sigh* Fine then.

Erina: You don't mind if I translate this to the whole base?

Y/N: Fine, you would do it anyway.

~flashback few years ago~

--Y/N narrating--

It started as a simple day. Wake up, train, kill someone who tried to sneak up on me and be bored. I was walking around the place when I spotted someone unexpected, someone new. The enemy was way more wicked and violent looking then the normal ones. I tried to attack it but to be frank, it beat my ass in seconds. My weapons weren't working and I got away only thanks to stun and Frost grenades. I quickly ran back to my secret room and took a necklace that made me invisible. After that I came back and sneaked past that thing. As I went deeper and deeper I met more and more different monsters. One thing that I was sure about was that they weren't from there. After a while I walked onto yet another floor of the castle and when I expected more of them I was met with something else. A blue portal was what I saw. I approached it and carefully inspected it but I accidentally tripped and fell into it. I was expecting to see those things on the other side but instead I felt metal floor under me and when I looked up I saw something entirely new, something more technological than we could ever imagine.

Then I heard a voice but it sounded, robotic.

???: [Good day, may I ask how you have entered the fortress?]

I started to look around but I didn't find anyone. Then I heard a voice again.

???: [Excuse my rudeness, I am VEGA, an AI operating the Fortress]

Y/N: Where am I?! What is this place!?

Vega: [You are currently in Fortress of Doom. A home of Doom Slayer]

Before I could even ask more questions a same portal opened again behind me and from there walked out a man wearing the same armor you saw.

Vega: [Now please explain how you got here before the Slayer forces you with a bit violent approach]

After that I proceeded to explain everything to them. About the portal, the creatures and how I got here.

Vega: [That is truly an unfortunate outcome. Fortunately for you the Slayer is willing to cooperate with you in killing those demons. Through I am not able to set a portal to where you came from]

Y/N: That doesn't matter. Just teach me how to kill these demons and I'll go back. You see, every time I die I get sent back to that place so I just need a way to kill them.

Vega: [Very well. Slayer, if you could]

The so called Slayer nodded and he led me to the other side of the Fortress. More specifically he led me to the arsenal on a wall with guns and a sword.

He motioned me to grab only two so I grabbed the sniper rifle and a sword. Then we went down to the arena where there were more of those things. He showed and taught me how to kill them more effectively and quickly while Vega provided me with the information about them. After a few hours I was good to go and so the Slayer shot me in the head per my request and I woke up back in the kingdom. After that I spent several month killing all of those things and don't ask me how I didn't run out of ammo, I don't know how. After that I went back to my place where I saw the same portal again but when I walked through it everything in the Fortress looked different. Half of the things looked rotten and even grew a lot of greenery in a lot of places. I spent a few days cleaning it and when I activated Vega, with the guide that was coincidentally it a box on a wall, he explained everything to me.

Vega: [It's been over 5000 years since you left. The Slayer left for one last battle and after he won and demons were no more he came back and left everything here. After that he asked me to teleport him back to earth and I haven't heard from him since then]

Then the next month I spent gathering materials and repairing the fortress. Along the way he also told me the story of the Slayer. After that I spent a lot of time training and mastering all of the weapons he had. There were also many different armors as well, heh, even the one that looked like a unicorn. After a few more weeks Vega managed to open the portal back home for me and since then I kept the fortress as my home.

~flashback end~

Y/N: So that's about it. Vega also explained that due to the fortress flying, over time it got closer to the planet I was on so that's how he was able to open the portal. And now, the fortress is hovering in space because I got the armor.

As he finished the story everyone were shocked at the information they received.

Erina: Wow. Just wow, and for how long has the Slayer been killing demons?

Y/N: Eons.

Erina: Damn.

Y/N: If I'm being honest it was good to meet another human being. He was my second mentor I actually miss very much.

Musashi: Well at least you have something to remember him.

Y/N: True.

Shinano: Can we see how it looks like?

Y/N: Sure.

Then a helmet appeared on his head and he took it off. Y/N then stood up and went to the window and pointed it outside.

Y/N: Vega could you please show the hologram of the fortress through the visor.

The visor glowed and when everyone looked outside they were very and very shocked at what they saw.

Erina: Holy shhhhhhoot. It's huge.

Y/N: Yeah I was shocked too when I first saw its full size.

Musashi: Can we go there?

Y/N: Later, the adrenaline is finally wearing off and I'm starting to feel tired.
