Chapter 11: Step 3
'Sup guys! I am back again! So after writing this chapter, I just don't know how to continue it, so I will give you guys a character information of Aira, and also a very very poorly edit of how I think Aira looks like at the start of the first book. :P
=======================================
Aira's POV
It has been almost two days since I had seen the principal, who is at the same time Karma's uncle. Their face shape looks quite similar, but why does a feeling of familarity rises up when I see his smile?
Maybe it is just because of the slight similarity of it and Karma's smirk.
Oh, well.
"Aira-chan, you do know it is Friday, right?" Karma asks, playing with a pocket knife as we walk to school together. After he threw Yui out of the office, she just started to spread rumors around saying that I was controlling Karma with some weird sort of magic, which don't exist.
But apparently, because of all the love letters I have received, they believed her, and so Karma just stays near me the whole time, and explained, She wants you to be ruined just like how you predicted, so why not just make her jealous and do some more crazy stuff?
Guess he never changes.
"I know. But your uncle won't mind if I accidentally expelled her, right?" I smile, and he smirks, "Sure. He is getting bored of not being able to watch a good show anyway. By the way, when can I hear you confess to me? Just so you know..." He leans down, brushing his lips onto my ear.
"I am a boy, so it is hard to control myself whenever I see you."
Blushing, I push him away. "D-Don't you dare do anything like that!" I stammer, but his smirk just grows bigger. "Heh? But it is a fact."
"Then don't stay with me every night!"
"But I love you."
"Then–wait, what?" I ask, astonished.
The mischief in his eyes has been replaced with a seriousness that I feel familiar with, and he lifts up his hand, gently touching my cheek. "I love you, Aira. I really do." He whispers.
"But..."
"I know. I know you aren't ready for anything like this, and even though I don't have too much patience, I can still wait a little longer for you."
My hearts starts beating faster, and I pulls his head down, putting my forehead to his. "Why?" I ask shortly, looking into his mercury eyes that are filled with sincere and love.
"Because, to me, you are worth everything."
Smiling, I suddenly feel a bit braver and give him a quick peck on his cheek before turning around, exclaiming, "Let's go. I don't want to be late."
Karma's POV
My eyes widened when I feel the sudden warmth on my cheek, which left as quickly as it came. Touching the place she kissed, I can't hear the words she said as my mind tried to comprehend what just happened.
"You kissed me?" I mumbled in surprise, looking at her. Aira looks over, a faint blush on her cheeks as she explains with a slight stammer, "T-Think of it as thanks for your confession and patience."
Happiness immediately explodes inside of me, and I can feel my mouth curving up into a huge grin. Walking quicker, I swing my arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer and kisses her forehead.
"So this is how it feels to be a couple." I smirk, and she frowns, flicking my forehead. "Karma-kun, we are not a couple."
"Yet. I will make you confess to me, Aira-chan. No matter how long it takes."
Third Person's POV
"Oi, is that Akabane?With...Murasakino!?"
"Didn't they break up!? Why are they so close!?"
"Haven't you heard? Karma threw Yui away when she said Murasakino is a slut."
"Are you sure it isn't because she said he is her boyfriend?"
"..."
Karma smirks, pulling Aira closer to him. "Karma-kun, let go of me!" She scowls, trying her best to get out of his iron grip.
"If you give me another kiss, I might consider letting go." He said, leaning down slightly.
Aira blushes, growling, "We are at school!"
"Then let skip class. It is not like there's anything to learn." He retorts, and just when he is about to leave, Asano appears around the corner, his face darkening when he sees Karma's arm around Aira.
He quickly walks over to them, pulling Karma away from her. The red-haired boy frowns and grabs his collar, about to push him down and beat him up before Aira quickly cuts in, putting her hands onto the two boys' outstretched arms, forcing them to release each other.
This happened too fast that the others can only see Asano reaching out and then in just a second, he and Karma are facing each other with anger etched onto their faces with Aira between them, a small frown on her face and her hands on their arms.
"If the two of you fight, I will break your arms, got it?" She said sternly, releasing a bit of her bloodlust.
The boys glare at each other before nodding, their arms falling to their side unwillingly. Aira quickly let go, taking her bag from the ground that dropped just now when she stopped them. "Good. Let's go to school." She continues, giving the others a cold gaze before walking towards the main gate.
"Ah, Karma-kun, Gakushu-kun, don't come into the classroom until the bell rings. You won't want to see what I will do, okay?" Aira smiles, looking at them with a determined look.
"Sure. But I won't come to school. If you need me, I will be at Isogai's workplace." Karma smiles back gently, and Asano nods. "Be safe, okay?" He said shortly, and then the two of them walk in the opposite direction, but not before sending the lilac-haired girl a gentle gaze.
Aira smiles back softly before turning around, walking into the school.
Walking up the stairs towards the classroom, Aira frowns slightly after she walked in to find swear words written on her table in red, and the classmates watching from the side with some giggles and murmurs.
Stopping before her table, she put down her bag and put her hand onto the center of the table, using a bit of strength. Then, it breaks.
Small cracks appearing beneath her hand starts to move around the table, and once it reaches the end, stopping right there, Aira moves back, taking back her bag.
After a second, it turns into dust. Screams and gasps echo throughout the entire room, and they all stumble back, fear and shock in their eyes. Looking around, Aira narrows her eyes and walks over to Yui, who has dropped to the ground.
Kneeling, Aira smiles coldly, lifting up her chin to force her to look into her eyes. "This is the third time, Shimizu." She said slowly, and the others can feel the chilliness emitting from her along with bloodlust.
"I thought I have given you chances to redeem yourself, and yet, you don't seem to understand." She continues, and Yui shivers, tears flowing down her cheeks. "I-I..." She stammers, wanting to move backwards, but behind her is a wall, leaving her in a drastic state.
"Don't think I will forgive you, Shimizu. You brought this to yourself." Aira smirks, and finally, the overwhelming fear and despair wash over Yui, and her eyes roll back, slumping to the ground.
Aira stands up, giving another cold gaze at the unconscious girl before looking around, declaring, "If you guys try to do anything like that to me, I assure you, you will become her, maybe worse. Okay?"
Without waiting for any answer, she walks out of the classroom, leaving them alone in a fear-filled atmosphere, and the knowledge to not do anything against their so-called "Ice Queen".
=======================================
So a quick but serious question:
If you won't be able to communicate with your friends and family for a year in any kind of way, would you rather be in a coma, or fake your death?
This might not seem so serious, but I really need an answer.
