Demi

I am on my way home after working for three days and three nights. I got some relief based on the fact that I had worked all weekend. Seku didn't intend to make me deal with three days and nights of people, especially the people with no place to call home. Most were from Liva that decided to risk everything and leave. I feel as if I should be sympathetic for them, yet, I can't do it. As my thoughts wander to my loved, I see Emuka and Seku up ahead, walking towards me.

Then starts Emuka by saying, "GREAT! You got Demi sick!"

"What?"

"She has this look of death on her face and look at her fingers! They're all bandaged up, and her lips are the color of a blueberry!" I didn't get a look in a mirror but I feel as though she is rightly describing how I look.

As I start to try and talk, I notice the glare of Emuka Vig turning in the direction of Seku. I need to stop her from blaming Seku.

"Seku didn't know Emuka. I stayed on my own will. I wanted to do what I could. It's not just one person that is dealing with these matters but if I can help one person then they can help others towards the better times that shall come." Her glaring eyes softened, she is smiling. Then next thing I see is the world turned upside down. I look up and see the back of Emuka's head which means that she has slung me over her shoulder and has started carrying me home.

I think of how much sleep I had missed. It reminds me of the dark, blue sea that I used to visit. The way the waves lapped at my feet, it was always high tide when I showed up. The waves would tickle my toes. Once, I dove head long forward into that darkness, it tugged me downward till I was surrounded by a blue that was darker than our night sky. I soon closed my eyes and felt so indifferent towards everything. This sleepy feeling is the opposite of that it doesn't lap towards me, it chains my very being as I clamber at the bottom of a crystal sea drowning. This happens every night, before I couldn't describe it. This time I can't fight off the shackles or the lack of air so I go unconscious.
