Alana

The evening sun shone brightly on us as we laid on the dock near the lake. The slight breeze danced through my hair and there was faint splashing in the water as Jaden played with his aunt and uncles, including Ezra.

"This has been a peaceful two years, Luke." I traced the outline of his biceps as I laid my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"Tell me about it. I'm loving it." He had a hand on the small of my back.

"And your ceremony is in two weeks." I smiled.

"And our wedding ceremony is tomorrow." He said with a hint of excitement. "Are you excited?"

I raised my head and looked at him. "Of course I'm excited!" I grinned broadly. "And it's about time that we showed those humans that we're together. I'm tired if pulling you off of them."

"I can say the same for you." He smirked as he squeezed my side.

I squealed and rolled off next to him. "In my defense, they were getting a little too grabby. I did not like it." I pursed my lips.

"Understandable." He said with a sigh.

I rested my head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"It's very nice out today." I said quietly.

"Best weather we had all summer." He agreed.

"HEY! ARE YOU TWO LOVEBUGS GOING TO GET IN THE WATER OR NOT!" Roxas yelled.

"I'm going to go with not!" I yelled back.

"Come on, Blue Eyes! The water feels nice!" Ezra grinned.

"Yea, Mini Goddess. Let's get in." Luke smirked. "You're dressed for it."

I shook my head. "Nope, no, no." I got up. "I'm not getting in."

"I'll change that." He stood up also. "What are you doing, Luke?" I looked at him.

"Let's get in the water, MG." He smiled. "Don't make me chase you."

I gulped. Giving him a nervous smile, I took off towards the woods. I heard his swift footsteps behind me and I decided to lose him in the thicket.

Finding a hollow tree, I hid in it and masked my scent. Thank Goddess for that ability...

I stood completely still as his footsteps approached my hiding spot. "You're making this harder for you. If you know what I mean." He said slyly.

I covered my mouth to suppress a giggle. I watched him pass my hiding spot and continued walking. As soon as he was out of earshot, I let out a sigh of relief.

"Man. I thought he would never leave." A voice said next to me. "And by the way, there's a huge spider on your shoulder."

I looked to my left and I almost screamed if he didn't cover my mouth. I flicked the humongous arachnid off my shoulder and turned my full attention to the fiery eyed demon.

"I thought we killed you!" I whisper yelled.

"You weakened me. Forgot to do the ritual." He mumbled. "But I wasn't going to tell you that."

I glared at him, feeling every ounce of anger that I have for him rise to the surface.

I blasted him and splintered the tree to millions of little pieces. He still stood there, laughing and patted me on the top of my head.

"You mad, bro?" He cackled. "But I'll be back to finish what I started. Be ready. And there's more spiders in here."

With that, he disappeared, leaving me there, standing alone, feeling them creep and crawl over me. I screamed and ran out of my former hiding spot, trying to knock them off of me. Lukas ran up with a confused look on his face.

"Why are you in the middle of the woods screaming, MG?" He asked in a flat tone.

"Spiders! Bloody spiders the size of both of your hands put together!" I said frantically trying to shake myself free of them.

He covered his mouth to stifle a laugh. "They're off of you, Lan. They're gone." He said.

"Are you sure? Because I was covered with them and it was gross." I whined. "I don't like spiders."

"I don't either, but they get my special thanks today." He said.

I raised an eyebrow and looked at him. "Why?"

"For helping me catch you." He smirked.

Without giving me a chance to run, he grabbed me by my middle and threw me over his shoulder.

"Guess you're going swimming." He said as we neared the lake.

"I guess I am." I said darkly as I dangled helplessly.

"Ready?" He stood at the dock.

"No." I hissed.

"Didn't think so." He laughed and jumped in with me still on his shoulders.

Swimming back up for air, I gasped and punched him in the shoulder. "You twat! I didn't want to swim!" I hissed.

"Oof!" He fell backwards in a slow fashion and began to float on his back.

"Look who's happy to join us." Aali smirked.

"Oh shut it, you." I splashed her playfully.

"This beats solitary confinement in the Silverhands fortress." Allen said as he backstrokes around us.

"Beats being locked in a cage, dropped a whole flight while cracking your skull in the cage, being chained for a ritual, and being torn apart by a demon wolf." I floated on top of the water.

"Yea...that was terrible. You were bedridden for like two weeks. And that's slow for a lycan." Ezra said.

"Tell me about it. But hey! We're alive!" Luke smiled.

"♪I'm ali-ive♪" I sang.

"Shut up, Alana!" Mark splashed me in the face I spluttered and splashed him back.

"You know what I just thought about?" Allen said. "What?" Luke looked at him.

"You two can feel each other's pain, right?" He looked at us. "Right." We both answered.

"What happens when she has pups? What would happen?" He asked.

"Oh, no." Luke muttered quietly.
"Justice." I smiled.

"Luna! A man who goes by Damon Fuentes is here." A guard stood by the dock.

"On my way." I grinned.
