Eris took over. Her eyes were jet black. She stared at me with a foreign, feral look on her face. Her white hair stuck to her face whilst everything else was covered in blood. Her face, hair, clothes.

"Alana." I said again as I held Jaden in my arms. I found him crying as he stood next to his deceased grandfather.

She continued to watch me as I stepped forward. She sniffed the air, getting up from her position and cautiously walked over.

"Mate?" She asked in a low, husky voice. The kind of voice that you wake up with. It's hot.

I nodded. "It's me, Allie." I stood on the spot.

"Pup?" She raised an eyebrow. "He's right here, baby girl. I have him." I said calmly.

We need to hurry up and get out of here. Fenris is making a mess of things, and he's piling up bodies. Father is securing all of the exits with the help of a shifter named Ezra.

She sniffed the both of us and took Jaden out of my arms and held him closely and she rested up against me. She took a deep breath and looked up at me, the white slowly returned to her eyes.

"What did I do?" She asked slowly. "All I remember is my parents were about to kill Jaden and I just blacked out."

"Well, you killed them both... Your wolf took over and they're dead..." I gestured towards the bodies with my hand.

She gasped and looked at the bodies with horror and down at herself. "I'm a monster!" She squeaked.

"No, Allie, calm down. You're not a monster." I said soothingly. "Just a protective mother."

She shook her head. "I killed Allen's parents! I murdered them!" She started to shake. "He's going to hate me!"

I pulled her into my arms. "Calm down, Alana. We'll dwell on that later, but right now, we have to focus on getting out of here and stopping that." I pointed at Fenris.

He grabbed a hunter and tore his arm off and went on to the next victim that dared to stop him.

A guy ran up to her. He had amber colored eyes. "Hey, Blue Eyes. We sorta need assistance. Your demon ex-mate or whatever is about to tear all of us apart!" He said frantically.

"Who are you?" I raised an eyebrow, feeling a little suspicious that this character knows my mate and I don't.

"There's no time for your suspicion. This is Ezra and he helped me." She said shortly and handed Jaden to this Ezra guy. "Now, would you take them to safety while I handle that." She pointed to Fenris.

He mercilessly ripped a person's head off and started to chew on it. I tilted my head, feeling utterly confused.

How many people are in here?

Then I looked at her. "I left you once, and my head feels like it has been cracked open. What happened to your head?" I looked at her.

"Oh! A couple of guys tripped carrying her cage down the stairs and they dropped her and she went tumbling down a flight." Ezra said nonchalantly.

Opening my mouth to let out a string of curses, they both stepped back, but instead I clamped my mouth tight and closed my eyes and inhaled deeply and snapped them open. They both watched me warily and Jaden clung to Ezra, burying his face in his shoulder.

"Ezra, please take my son out of here, because there is no way that I'm leaving her again." I said through gritted teeth.

"Blue Eyes, you didn't tell me that you got busy this early. A pup?" Ezra mused with a smirk on his face.

"I'll tear you apart." She snarled baring fangs. "Get him out of here."

"Sure I'll keep my infant nephew out of danger." He winked. "I gotcha fam."

He held Jaden close to him and avoided all the fighting and disappeared with him out of the room.

"What did he mean by nephew?" I looked at her.

She gave me a weak smile. "Long story for another time." Then she pulled her hair up out of her face. "Now the task at hand. That."

We both looked ahead of us to see the room cleared of people. Only a floor littered with bodies and heads, arms, you get the gist....

His fiery orange gaze fell upon us and he let out an angry snarl. Blood dripped from his teeth and muzzle as he stalked towards us, eyeing us like prey.

"It's time to yield, Fenris. It's over. You killed them all." Then she stepped forward.

"Alana." I warned and she gave me a look of reprimand from over her shoulder.

She crouched down and held out her arms. "I'm so proud of you, Fen." She said with a grin.

I growled and advanced forward but a blue, translucent wall was put in between me and them.

Dammit...

"ALANA!" I pounded the wall with my palm.

"See? No one can stop us now, can they?" She said with a lopsided grin. "I missed you a lot, Fen."

She pet his fur and scratched behind his ears and he laid down in front of her, calming down.

"That must have been her plan all. To placate him..." Ryker said slowly as we watched them both.

I guess, but it's hard to watch...

"I know, I would get a little more angry if he wasn't a demon..."

I grinned at the remark. I continued to watch them both as she continued to calm him down and whisper to him.

Then as one hand was behind her, I watched as she shook her hoodie sleeve subtly and something shiny popped out. It looked like a dagger.

"Is that the Moon Dagger?" Ryker asked excitedly.

I believe so. It's the only dagger that could kill him...I think...

As his eyes closed, she raised the dagger over him. For a few seconds, the dagger caught the reflection of sunlight and cast a small ray in his eyes. He snapped them open growled ferociously.

Immediately jumping up from his resting position, he snarled keeping his gaze on her. I pounded on the wall again.

Fenris leapt onto her and the dagger dropped to the floor with a loud clatter she hit her head again, sending a searing, excruciating pain in my skull. We both yelled in anguish. I collapsed onto the floor, catching my breath. He tried to go for her neck and she had her hands clamped tightly around his muzzle preventing him from doing so. He clawed at her, tearing open her arms, breaking skin on her chest. We both screamed out in pain... I feel her pain...

As she struggled to keep his teeth at bay, blue light coursed through her arm all the way to her hand, expelling a great force from it, sending him flying across the room and he crashed into the wall letting out a wounded yelp.

The blue wall dissipated and Alana lay on the ground, breathing heavily. The pain was intense. It was indescribable. I crawled towards her, feeling the unbearable pain in my arms and chest.

"Allie..." I stroked her head and picked up the dagger.

She lifted her head and fear filled them I quickly put it in my back pocket. "Watch out!" She sat up, and we both yelled as the pain intensified.

I was blasted backwards by some unknown force, hitting my head on the wall, Alana yelled out in pain, no doubt she felt it. I gasped for air as I struggled to sit up and see clearly. Hot liquid trickled down the back of my head. In a swift motion, Fenris stood in front of me in human form and wrapped his hand around my neck and lifted me off the ground.

I scratched at his hand and tried to pry it off and he just watched me with a cold, distant look in his eyes.

"You've been in my way for far too long, pup." He snarled. "She's not your mate. She's mine and always will be. You're not good enough for her. You won't know how to take care of her!"

"And neither...would...you..." I managed to breath out.

He threw his head back and laughed. "Is that so?" He smirked as he tightened up his grip on my neck.

"Very much...s...so..." I reached in my back pocket and pulled out the dagger behind me and plunged it into his heart.

I spared her one last glimpse before I collapsed onto the floor...
