Pacing this small, confined space, I've gone stir crazy. I haven't seen her, held her, smelled her scent for the past few days. Even Ryker is restless, he won't stop whining. She's hurting badly and I can feel it.
Flashback
"Lana, it's going to be-"
"WOULD EVERYONE JUST...STOP! STOP TELLING ME IT'S GOING BE ALRIGHT!" She practically screeched, as she stomped her foot sending a wave off energy that shook the house, sending everyone flying except me. I just absorbed it. "I'M GOING TO FIND HIM AND MAIM HIM!"
"Alana, don't you think that this is a trap?" Dad looked at her warily as he held onto the side table for support while he struggled to regain his balance.
Her eyes narrowed in on him, eyes a dancing blue flame. "Trap or not. I'm getting my babies back." She growled and stormed away.
First, her brother has been kidnapped for the past week and now the baby... He's been gone for two days now.
End of Flashback
She's hurt. She's most likely in danger...
She's slowly fading away... Is maybe she...
Shut up! Don't even think like that! Ryker growled angrily at me.
Sorry...we haven't seen her in a couple of weeks and we haven't heard from the Silverhands in a couple of weeks, don't you find that the least bit suspicious?
Then why aren't you doing anything about it? He drawled boredly.
Well if you haven't noticed, there's at least six guards outside this cell, don't you think I tried?
I gestured to this small box that is called a cell, hell, the cells in an actual prison for the worst of criminals looks like a hotel room compared to this place. I can't hardly move two feet without walking into the other wall.
My fists hurt because I've been trying to punch at the silver bars that are holding me back, but I left a few dents in them. And so much for sneaking out the window... THERE ISN'T ONE!!!!
I groaned in frustration and punched the wall. It felt like my hand just shattered into a million pieces. I yelled as I held my hand and slid down the wall.
Tucking my broken hand in between my thighs and chest, I rested my head on my knees and wept. I wept for my hand. I wept for my lack of freedom, and most of all I wept because I haven't seen her beautiful face in so long. I love everything about her.
I love her shyness and the way she blushes when I compliment her. The way her platinum silver hair ripples down her back, waving enticingly at me. The way her frosty blue gaze makes me want to get lost in them forever... Her pink, seductive lips, soft... And don't get me started on that goddess bod of hers. Like Greek goddess perfection. Aphrodite herself would be extremely jealous.
I just want her back...
There was a sound of faint footsteps and they grew louder until they eventually stopped. I didn't even look up, I knew who it was.
"Son, are you alright?" He asked.
"What do you think?" I asked bitterly.
"I just th-"
"No! I don't want to hear it! I'm locked in this box like I'm some criminal! My hand is broken! I haven't held Alana in two weeks! You won't let me search for her! I need to get out of here!" I yelled, sounding like a madman. Do I care? Nope.
"We both know why you can't. You became a danger not only to yourself, but everyone else around you." He said calmly.
The images of broken furniture, walls, glass and bones flooded into my brain.
"Is this what it feels like to lose your mate? Is she gone?" I almost choked holding back a sob.
"Trust me son, if she was gone, you'd be in pieces right now." He said quietly. "Take me for example."
After Mom was brutally killed, the house was left in pieces and he disappeared, leaving us in the care of our nanny for a whole year while the Beta took over for my father. That by far was the hardest time that I have experienced. It's like losing both your parents in one day, he hasn't been the same since. His more goofy, playful side has disappeared, but it shows here and there.
"I need to get out and find her." I mumbled.
"So I can risk more of my pack members?" He asked in disbelief.
"I NEED TO FIND HER!" I yelled at the top of my lungs lunging at him, but the bars kept us well distanced.
He didn't move from his spot, he only shook his head in a pitying fashion and walked away.
I slumped back up against the wall. I wept again. I need her back. I want her back...
PŚŚŤ...
I raised my head a little to find the source of the noise, only to find a shadow within arm's reach.
ĤĔŶ ŤĤĔŔĔ, LÚĶÁŚ he grinned at me.
ŴĔ'ŔĔ ŃoŤ ŴĔĔPĨŃĞ ÁŔĔ ŴĔ?
I growled and lunged at him only to hit a wall. He reappeared again laughing.
ŚĨĹĹŶ ČĤĨĹĎ he chuckled as he shook his head.
"Where is she?" I looked at him in his fiery orange eyes.
"ŚĤĔ ĨŚ ŚÚŦŦĔŔĨŃĞ..." He said boredly.
"Suffering? She's suffering?" I balled my hands up into fists. "You're not doing anything?!"
"ĎoŃ'Ť ŶoÚ ŤĤĨŃĶ I'VĔ ŤŔĨĔĎ?! I'M ŦoŔßĨĎĎĔŃ Ťo Ğo ŃĔÁŔ ĤĔŔ." He said grimly.
I ran my fingers through my hair out of frustration. Is he serious right now....
"Out of all times you purposely choose not to obey, you choose now to obey?" I asked flatly, trying to keep my attitude in check. I am slowly losing it...
He stayed silent. I huffed and looked down at my broken hand. "Why are you here?"
"ŶoÚ ŃĔĔĎ MŶ ĤĔĹP Ťo ĞĔŤ ĤĔŔ ßÁČĶ." He said simply as he had his arms crossed, leaning against the wall.
"Why should I trust you?" I snarled.
"ŶoÚ ÁŃĎ I ÁŔĔ ŤĤĔ oŃĹŶ oŃĔŚ ŴĤo ÁŔĔ ĔQÚÁĹĹŶ ĨŃ ĹoVĔ ŴĨŤĤ ĤĔŔ AŃĎ ŴĔ ÁĹĹ ĶŃoŴ ŴĤo ŚĤĔ'ĹĹ ČĤooŚĔ." He said very cockily.
I rolled my eyes and glared at him. "Sure we do." I mumbled.
"So, ÁŔĔ ŶoÚ ĨŃ?" He asked as he held out his hand to me.
I stared at his hand for the longest before I decided to accept it. He gave me a crooked smile, then everything went black.
