I sat on the bar stool in the kitchen, eating a bagel with strawberry cream cheese on it, slightly spinning on the stool as I ate it.

"Did you fix one for me?" Allen asked as he walked in.

"Did you fix your relationship with Kira?" I spun around to face him.

"Yes... and I hate you for meddling. My head is sore because of you." He muttered darkly.

"Good. Your bagel is over there." I pointed to a plate on the counter.

"Morning, Lana and Allen."

"Morning, Cain." Allen and I replied with food in our mouths.

He poured him a cup of coffee and sipped it, squinting his eyes at me. Then I felt a kiss being planted on my left cheek and my bagel being ripped out of my hand. I turned around to face him and frowned.

"Mmm," he said as he chewed it,"this is good."

"If he wasn't so cute I would have ripped his hand off."  Eris growled.

Yup. He's lucky.

"Yea, Luke! You can have my bagel." I smiled sarcastically.

"Oh thanks! It's delicious!" He took another bite.

I snarled, baring fangs. He chuckled and put it back in my hand and gave me another kiss on the cheek. I spun the stool around to face the front again.

"Morning, Dad." He gave him a one armed hug.

"Morning." He said then went back to sipping his coffee.

Aali, Mark, and Roxas entered the kitchen laughing about something. "Good morning." I spun in a circle repeatedly as I bit into my bagel.

"Good morning, Alliebear... how are y-wait a second. You seem different." Roxas stepped up to me and scrutinized my face. I shrank back in awkwardness under his gaze.

"Yea... I can sense it too... what's going on here..." Mark started to sniff me.

I flicked his nose and pushed Roxas back. "There is a such thing as personal space you plonkers." I furrowed my eyebrows at them.

Roxas stepped back and still stared at me and Mark held his nose. Aaliyah rolled her eyes and went to go hug Cain.

"May I ask why are you staring. It's rude." I crossed my arms.

"Something about you is different. You smell different..." he squinted his eyes at me.

I rolled my eyes and pushed my hair back off of my shoulders and began to eat my food again. Roxas sputtered, Mark gasped, Aali squealed, and Cain choked on his coffee while Allen, Luke, and I exchanged bewildered looks.

"Oh. My. Goddess! You're marked!" Mark pointed at me.

"You're what?! When?! And by who?! Because I need to know so I can rough him up!" Cain brandished his fist that didn't hold the coffee mug.

My eyes frantically flitted across the room in awkwardness and I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

"Who else, Dad. It's obvious." Aaliyah rolled her eyes.

Then they all looked at Luke and he stopped chewing his bagel, looking like a deer caught in the headlights. He had a sheepish smile and did a small wave.

"You marked my Allie without my consent?!" Roxas yelled.

Lukas raised a threatening eyebrow at him and took another bite out of his bagel.

"But I'm still confused! What is going on!" Allen asked.

"Alana and Luke are officially mates now. That is what's going on." Aaliyah answered him.

He jerked his body back and held his hand up to his chest with a confused look still. "So.. they're like... married?" He asked in a squeaky voice.

"You can say that." Mark said.

"Whoa... This is too early in the morning for this and it's not even seven o'clock yet," Cain mumbled then patted Luke on the shoulder," congratulations to the both of you."

I grinned and Luke mumbled a thanks. Allen still looked genuinely confused and Mark gave him a pat on the shoulder.

"You werewolves are weird." Allen chuckled.

"Ha. Funny because that's what we say about you humans," Cain ruffled his hair as he walked past him," time for me to do some new paperwork, welcoming in our two newest pack members."

And with that he left the room and Aaliyah squealed again. "You're going to be part of our pack!" She hugged me.

"And you'll no longer be a rogue and Jaden!" Mark smiled.

I smiled bashfully. Then saw that Rox and Luke was still having a stare down. Roxas had his arms crossed, nostrils flaring and Luke stood there with a stoic expression, still eating his bagel.

"Guys. Don't you think that this staring contest has gone on long enough?" I asked wiping cream cheese off of my face with a napkin.

They didn't answer or budge or make any signs that they acknowledged me. I rolled my eyes and stood inbetween them and snapped my fingers.

"Okay.. so.. I don't know what you two have against each other, but it has to stop." I said in a serious manner.

"He stole you from me, Lana." Roxas looked at me.

"She was never yours to steal in the first place!" Lukas yelled.

I held up my hand at Lukas to signal him to be quiet. "Roxas. We talked about this. We both know that the Goddess had other people in mind for the both of us.. remember?" I said calmly. He nodded. "But don't worry, I'm still your proper, mate that grew up with you... I mean come on Roxybaby." I gave him light jabs to the stomach.

He chuckled and pulled me into a hug and kissed me on the top of my head. "Congratulations, Alliebear," then he rounded on Luke,"and you! Take care of her. She's my little princess and if anything happens to her under your care, I will tear you apart." He snarled.

Lukas scoffed. "I would like to see you try." Then he took one last chomp out of his bagel and swallowed it and walked off.

"Well this just got interesting, don't you think?" Eris said.

Very. Interesting and I think we're still going uphill.
