Alana

I walked out of the cafeteria in an unexpected hurry. Weaving in and out of students to reach the girl's restroom.

Mates? Did he say that we were mates? I'm pretty sure he did. Am I going bonkers, Eris?

She sighed." No, Alana. You are not going bonkers. He did say that we were mates! Isn't that amazing! That's what I've been trying to say this whole time!" She wagged her tail happily.

I stood infront of the mirror and stared at my reflection for awhile.. for no apparent reason and hung my head.

The whole time?

"The whole time. Why do you feel so drawn to him? And he's drawn to you. We are meant to be!"

I sighed and shook my head. Hopefully I didn't upset him by leaving abruptly like that... Now I feel bad.

Before she could say anything else, her words were cut short by loud sniffles entering the restroom. I looked over my shoulder to see who it was.

She had long sandy, blonde hair and steel blue eyes. Her eyes were red and puffy. Poor dear. She stood at the sink next to me and splashed her face with water.

"I think that's Kira. I can smell Jacob's scent on her."

I walked myself from my own thoughts and looked at her. "Are you okay?" The dumbest question to ask, but couldn't think of anything else to say.

Her expression reiterated what I just thought and she rolled her eyes at me. "No, my boyfriend broke up with me today for some dumb thing.. I don't know." She sniffled.

I pulled a facial tissue from the front pocket of my bookbag and handed it to her. "Let me guess, the little prick's name is Allen." I looked at her.

She wiped the corner of her eyes and I handed her another one for her nose. "Y-Yes.. how did you know?" She balled up the tissues and threw them away.

"He's my knob of a little brother. I'm his older sister Alana." I smiled warmly.

She raised her eyebrows. "I've heard of you! My cousin Jacob talks a lot about you. I'm Kira." She sniffled again but with a small smile.

"Did the little wanker say why you two had to split?" I asked.

"He said something about protecting me or something like that then left. He just left." She growled angrily.

I facepalmed and slowly slid my hand down my face. The bloody idiot! Fenris wasn't even after him like that! It's me he wants!

I placed a hand on her shoulder. "Kira. I give you my permission to give him a good wallop across the head multiple times. The boy is an idiot. And tell him I said it." I shook my head.

She looked confused and I gave her a reassuring pat. "Trust me. And there's nothing to worry about. He's an idiot that does idiotic things." I chuckled.

"So you're saying get back together with him?" She smiled hopefully.

"That's exactly what I'm saying. But don't forget to smack him a few times. He deserves it." I winked.

She giggled and gave me a hug. "Thank you so much, Alana!" She giggled squealed then ran out of the restroom.

"Well didn't that feel good?"

It felt amazing, actually. She seems like a good kid. But she's way out of Allen's league.

"Mmhmm. You can say that again."

I chuckled and left the restroom and walked down the hallway.
Hey... Aren't I out of school after lunch?

"Yea. You're done. Got most of your credits, remember?"

This is one thing that I enjoy about being a high school senior... I barely have any classes.

Now it's time to find that group of mine... but after I go to my locker. I need to empty this bag out. I made my way towards it to find Jonathan leaning next to mine. I huffed and against my better judgement and walked over there.

"Well, well, well. It's the little moon wolf." He sneered.

"Hello, Jonathan. How's your nose? Is it doing any better?" I asked casually as I took out my books and placed them in the locker.

He reached for his nose and his sneer changed to fear and he took a careful step back. "Its doing f-fine. So.. what have you been getting yourself into lately?" He asked moving his bang out of  his eye.

I huffed in aggravation and shoved my last book in the locker and slammed it. He let out a surprised squeak and hopped back.

"What do you want." I growled clenching and unclenching my fists.

"I came to warn you." He said quietly.

I laughed in disbelief. "Oh! First you assault me, torture me, and now you want to warn me? Against what?! You?" I waved my hands in grand motions, gesturing to him.

He rolled his eyes. "Keep your voice down. He's most likely listening." He whispered.

I raised an eyebrow."Who's li-"

But he cut me short. "Listen, baby. The odds are against you right now and you need to be vigilant." He said looking as casual as possible but his gaze met everything else but mine.

Should we trust him?

"I don't know. He's a master liar."

True, but who knows he could be right.

"Are you willing to take that chance?"

I thought about it for a moment. I don't know, Eris.

"Your call but you better not get me killed." She growled menacingly.

"Thank you for the.... words of advice... I appreciate it." I crossed my arms.

"Anything for you, toots. Gotta go." He shoved his hands in his pockets and sauntered off. I really hate that guy.

"Hey! Allie! We're leaving! Lets go!" Aaliyah called out to me from down the hall, waving her arms frantically to get my attention.

I smiled and walked briskly towards her. "Hey, Aali." I looked around and didn't see the boys. My heart sank. "I didn't hurt his feelings or anything, did I?" I asked quietly.

"Oh not at all! They just left earlier for some... unknown reason.. I dunno. How are you feeling. You looked like you were punched in the gut earlier." She put an arm around my shoulder.

"I'm fine... I just.. A lot of this stuff is new to me still ya know... growing up with humans and all. Like shifting back and forth without feeling awkward like you guys do is still something to get used to... I mean I swear my face turns bright red everytime I'm with you watching the boys of the pack spar. I feel awkward." I felt my cheeks burn just thinking about it.

She laughed. "It's okay. You still have a lot to learn." She walked with me out of the school building until I stopped walking.

"Where's Allen?" I asked.

"He left with the boys too." She said, continuing to walk.

I nodded and tried to match her stride, which I find difficult being that she is taller and has longer legs than me. Hmph.

Yay! I introduced Kira.
