"Guess what today is." Markus walked up to us with an excited voice.

"Um.... a day for you to pipe down your excitement." Aali said with aggravation.

Mark and I looked at each other with a sly smile then smiled back at Aali. Mmmhmmmm.

"Why are you two grinning like two idiot foxes?" Alana asked looking at the both of us.

"Because they are." Aali grumbled rubbing her temples.  Mark and I surrounded her giving her sly smiles.

"Why do you have a headache, Aaliyah?" Mark asked shoulder to shoulder with her. I was bunched on her right shoulder.

"I'm sleep deprived I didn't sleep all night." She said trying to break free of our brother sandwich.

"Oh? So you're sleep deprived? So.... what were you doing pray tell?" I looked at her.

Then Mark stopped walking and started to jump up and down excitedly then grabbed Aali by both of her arms and pulled her closely to his face and stared at her with a crazed look.

"You know what she had done?" I asked.

"It's not what did she do it's who did she do." He said with a sly smile with nothing but teeth showing.

"OMG. I can't flipping deal with you two. Come on ,Alana. Let's hurry and leave these to idiots." she quickly grabbed Alana's hand and dragged her along.

"Hold on. I have to put my things away in my locker first." Alana said with a grin while walking towards her locker.

"Tall, auburn, and enemy at 3 o'clock." Cam said growling.

Great just what I need. Him coming and ruining everything once again.

Alana just closed the locker door. When Jacob suddenly stood in front of her, with on arm on the locker next to her head. She just stood there awkwardly..... with an almost blank expression on her face.

"Um... hi?" She said quietly, practically plastering herself against the locker because he was dangerously close.

"Hi." He gave her a charming smile.

"So....what do you want?" She said slightly sliding to the side away from him.

He then put his other arm up to block her. "What I want? What I want, Alana, is one day with you this weekend." He chuckled.

She turned as red as a tomato. "So... you mean... oh bother,"she muttered ," so... um... what do you mean exactly? Do you mean a date?" she asked in a high squeaky voice while doing weird hand gestures while she talked.

"Yes, I mean a date. So what do you say?" he leaned on the locker next to her. 

"My... answer would be umm... no." She said flatly with a straight face.

I mentally gave myself a high five and was like cheering like a six year old at a parade grabbing candy. That's how happy I was with her saying no.

"Why not? Many girls would kill to be in your shoes right now." He smirked.

"Well, I'm not other girls. I'm me so my answer is still no. I just met you like heck I would go on a date with a person I just met." She started to walk away, but he blocked her path again and she was now looking very irritated with him now.

"Come on Alana. You'll have fun with me. I'll keep you safe." he said now twirling her hair. She slapped his hand away and pushed past him.

"You doing that does not change my mind and my bloody answer is still no! So if you excuse me. I have the rest of this town to see." She said walking back towards us, pushing rogue strands of hair out of her face. He looked at us and glared. I gave a gloating smile.

"You be careful who you're hanging out with,Alana!" He called after her.

"I know! And I know it's not you!" She yelled back.

Dang bro.... that's- that's  gotta hurt.....

TIME SKIP

"Wait guys... I can't sight see and marvel at the same time!"Alana yelled from behind us. 

"Yes you can! You're doing it now." Mark smiled at her.

She frowned and crossed her arms. "You know what I mean! Let me look at the sights! This is like my first time actually feeling heat. Florida heat to be exact." She stood not too far from our group.

"Alana, there is plenty more to see! We don't have all day you know." Aali placed her hands on her hips.

Alana stood there with a defiant stance. Staring at us daring to move on without her. Aaliyah eventually gave in. "Fine you can stand there and take pictures,"she muttered,"who are you sending them to anyways?"

"My mate Roxas." She said nonchalantly. While taking more photos of her surroundings

It caused me to sputter. I felt shocked. She has a mate?! Already?!

"Mate?" Mark asked looking just as shocked as me.

"It's our way of saying friend back at home," she said without looking at us, "does it mean something else over here?" She looked up from her phone. 

"No! Nothing at all." I said quickly. Phew... that was a close one.

"Tell me about it."

Then a little behind  her, I could see a couple of shady looking guys. Definitely suspicious of them. Seems like they were following us the whole time. They met my gaze and we had like this stare off for the longest. I waited until she put her phone away to usher her slightly along. "Come on, Lana. We have places to see." I smiled. I looked back over my shoulder and they were gone. Definitely something with this picture.

Sorry for how short this chapter is. I was crunched for time. I'll try to update as frequently as I can. My schedule is wacked out crazy at the moment. Your comments and questions are always welcome.
