Lukas

I waited at the end of the stairs for Alana when I heard a gurgling sound below me. I felt a tug on my pant leg.

I looked down to see a chubby cheek baby with curly hair and hazel eyes. Jaden.

"Hey buddy." I smiled.

He grinned in response and reached his arms up for me to carry him. I complied. I mean..how could you say no to that cute face.

"I Jajen." He pointed to himself with a pudgy little finger.

"Your name is Jaden?" I asked smiling slightly.

"Mmhmm. What you name is." He poked me on the nose.

"My name is Lukas." I grabbed his finger and held it in my hand. It's so tiny compared to mine.

"You name is Lucky?" He raised an eyebrow.

"No. It's Lukas."

He pouted and took his hand away from me. "No it's Lucky." He protested.

"My name is Lukas." I furrowed my eyebrows.

He started to whine and tried to wriggle free from my grip.
"Ma! Ma! Ma!" He yelled.

I widened my eyes in horror. I just made a mother's child mad and from what I heard that's not a good thing to witness. An angry mother.

Footsteps were descending the stairs. "What's wrong, Jay?" I heard Alana ask.

He finally got himself on the floor and hobbled towards her. He clung at her legs and begged for her to pick him up.

"Lucky yell at me, Ma." He pointed at me.

She picked him up and kissed the top of his head. "Did you yell at my baby?" She raised an eyebrow at me. A hint of anger in her eyes.

I raised my hands in surrender and shook my head vigorously.

"I only told him that my name is Lukas as furrowed my eyebrows.!" I said quickly.

Jaden buried his face in her chest and she shifted him into a more comfortable position.

"And that's where you went wrong. They think that's yelling. Babies are very sensitive," she rocked him in her arms," aren't you, love?" She said the last part to him.

"Sorry for not knowing the Secret Code of Baby." I rolled my eyes and ran my fingers through my hair.

She laughed and tried to place him down. "I gotta go now, Jaden."

He protested and clung onto her like a koala. His grip tightening everything she tried to pry him off.

"No! I wanna go!" He yelled.

"But you can't." She said calmly.

"I go! I go! I go!" He yelled repeatedly while yanking on her necklace.

I got a good look at it. It had a wolf silhouetted in the moon. Yup. She is definitely the Lost Pup.

"Ja-" she started.

"I go! I go! I go!" He kept yelling at the top of his lungs.

She looked at me for help. I stood there tight lipped with my hands in my pockets.

"Well... my dad did say that he wanted pups in the house." I shrugged.

She smiled. "So it's okay to bring him?"

"I guess." I shrugged again.

She sighed with relief and kissed Jaden on the cheek to soothe him and he quieted.

She let her mom know that she was leaving and we were off.

Alana

Lukas unlocked the front door. Too bad I wasn't greeted by my favorite look alikes....

"Luke your back! And who's the new chick! Does Alana know! Who are you!" Mark yelled at me.

"Oi mate, calm down you bugger. It's me, Alana." I shook my head at him.

He raised his eyebrows in shock. "Alana? Whoa... you look hot!" He exclaimed.

I huffed and held Jaden with one arm and placed the other on my hip.

"Why does everyone keep saying that! What was I like before?" I stomped her I foot indignantly.

He roamed his eyes over my body and still smirked.

"Still hot. Any style on you is definitely hot. Hot. Hot. Hot." He chuckled.

I blushed at his reaction and laughed once I saw Luke's angry expression. I walked over to him and gave him a pitying pat on the shoulder.

"Is Lana here?" Aali asked walking into the room past me.

"Yea. She's right here." Mark smirked.

"Where she at? All I see is an Elsa look alike." She crossed her arms glaring at me. "And what is she doing here? Are you cheating on Alana?" She now shifted her glare to Lukas.

"I'm not cheatin' on Lana! And besides! We're not even together...yet." He emphasized the last part.

I looked at Lukas and raised an eyebrow. What does he mean by yet? Then I adjusted my gaze to Aali.

"I'm right here, mate. I've been here the whole bloody time." I adjusted Jaden in my arms.

She raised a finger but lowered it. "Ala- that's y- mmm." She said in shock and blinked rapidly.

"Yes. My face hasn't changed has it? Why can't anyone recognize me?" I looked at them.

"It's definitely the hair and eyes. Makes you look totally different." She nodded while inspecting me.

I blew a strand of hair out of .mu face and let Jaden down in his feet because my arms started to hurt.

"Like....what are you?" Mark looked at me under fierce scrutiny. His eyes narrowed and his mouth looked like an upside down C.

"Heck. That's what I'm trying to figure out myself." I chuckled.

"You look mythical. You look as if you could be the Goddess's daughter or somethin'." Aali placed her hands on her hips.

I blushed at her comment and Jaden ran at her legs. She squealed in delight and picked him up.

"This baby is so cute! Can I keep him!" She tickled his stomach sending him into fits of squealing and laughter.

"Nope. The pup is mine and no one else can have him." I said with a smile.

"What is all this noise?" Their dad walked in eyes scanning all of us. Eyes falling on me and Jaden in particular.  "Who's the girl?" He gestured at me with his thumb.

The funny thing is, I didn't catch his name last time we met. And the sight of him scared Jaden. Mr. Chase is a man that is tall beyond belief like 6'11 or 7'1. He has a close shaved haircut and he has this face that looks serious all the time. His skin color matching his kids but the only difference is that he has amber colored eyes which gives off the illusion of an unearthly glow.

"Dad...it's Alana." Luke said.

He blinked rapidly at me in shock. Looking like he couldn't grasp the idea of my existence.

I held out my hand. "Good afternoon, Mr. Chase." I smiled breaking him from his blinking spell.

He returned the gesture and smiled. "Call me Cain."

"Why can't we call you that? Huh?" Mark whined and crossed his arms.

Aali, Luke, and Cain slowly turned their heads in his direction and gave the WTF is wrong with you mixed with shut the hell up. Mark picked up on the social queue and shoved his hands in his pockets.

I covered my mouth to stifle a laugh that was going to escape past my lips.

"Ma. Ma. Who he, Ma?" Jaden looked at me as he pointed to Cain eyeing him cautiously.

"That's my godfather. Your godgrandfather? Do those even exist?" I looked at them. They all shrugged. "You guys are no help." I muttered.

Cain walked up to Jaden, but the baby hid behind my legs.

"This is your pup?" He asked looking at me.

"Yes, he's my pup. I adopted him." I said.

Cain gave me a curious look and then knelt infront of me and held out one of his hands to Jaden. The baby peered from behind my legs at Cain, still watching him cautiously.

"Go on, mate. It's alright. He's not going to hurt you." I said smiling. I placed a hand behind his head and pushed him around to the front so he could get a good look at Cain.

He looked up at me and with one finger in his mouth, he slowly walked up to Cain. "You eye is fire." He said quietly as he poked Cain in the face with his slobbery finger as he puts his other hand in his mouth. "An' you face is big." He used the other hand to inspect his face.

Cain looked shocked and semi-disgusted. Drool was all over his face now and the triplets and I couldn't help but laugh. Cain wiped his face and let out an amused chuckle and picked Jaden up.

"I love this pup already." He grinned.

Sigh of relief. All I ever wanted was him to be accepted.

Eris whined happily. And I couldn't help but smile.

This is a long a** chapter that got so sidetracked it's ridiculous. Don't worry. Good ol' Bri is going to put this baby back on course.
