Alana

"Come on get up, we have to go."

Someone shook me. My eyes fluttered open and my eyes were too fuzzy to see who it was. I did a small stretch as I sat there, slowly nodding off again

"Come on Mommy has to take you somewhere." She pulled me out of the bed.

"Where?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes.

"Somewhere safe." She ran with me in the arms.

In the distance I could hear the women and children screaming and crying..fighting and crying in the distance and I could smell fire... and the unmistakable sound of growling.

"Where's Daddy?" I looked at her.

"Protecting us, Alana...and when I say run, you run and don't look back." I nodded in response sleepily.

We were now at the edge of the woods until we heard a twig snap behind us.

"WHERE ARE YOU TWO GOING!" A man yelled.

"Run and shift Alana!" She yelled.

I shifted and ran on all fours through the woods carefully avoiding stumps and raised roots. My pursuer quickly advanced and tackled me under his gigantic paw. I whimpered out of fear. "Alana! Alana!"

"Alana!Alana!" Someone nudged me.

I fluttered my eyes open trying to gain vision. A boy came into focus. He had mocha colored skin, deep brown eyes, and curly, black hair. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What do you want, Allen?" I sat up rubbing my eyes.

"Getting you up for school. Did you forget?" He crossed his arms.

I just sat there staring at the comforter, still trying to wake up fully.

"What time is it?" I mumbled.

" It's currently 7:56." He leaned in my doorway.

"IT'S WHAT?!" I threw the cover off of myself and darted towards the bathroom. "WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP BEFORE?!" I yelled from the bathroom stripping and turning on the warm water.

I Jumped in and started to hop in the shower and bathe.

"Because, it's funny to see you scramble." He chuckled.

I groaned in anger. I hurried and bathed and got out. I stood in front of my closet, lost at what to wear.

"You should wear leather and ripped jeans.... and black."

No, I don't think so Eris, I'm trying to look friendly on my first day, not deadly.

"Then wear red and leather." She said excitedly.

What is up with you and leather?
I questioned her and picked out a burgundy long sleeved shirt that had floral print on them, and a pair of black jeans and a pair of black combat boots.

"What's up with you and staying safe?" She asked in a mocking tone.

I rolled my eyes and got dressed. I grabbed my glasses off of the night stand and picked my bookbag off the floor and headed downstairs.

"You're late Alana."

"I know mum." I muttered picking up my keys from the counter.

"Ana, Ana." Someone pulled on my leg. I smiled with delight and picked up the baby. He had caramel colored skin, dark brown curly hair, and hazel eyes, and two top teeth.

"Good morning my baby." I kissed his fat cheeks. I quickly put him down on the ground and headed towards the door. I blew a kiss at Jaden and walked out of the door with Allen.

"Allie, if you don't get any friends with this Camaro, then you have serious issues."

"I agree with the kid." Eris said bluntly.

Shut up I growled.

"I don't want people to like me because of my car, I want them to like me for me." I grumbled getting in the driver's seat.

"If they can get past your social awkwardness." He mumbled.

I pulled into the parking lot and parked and Allen hopped out. "Remember I'm an earshot away." I called to him.

"Can't forget it." He smiled then left and walked inside.
I did the same. I headed towards my locker and started to unload most of my crap into it

"Run Alana run!" That's all I could hear. Her voice reverberating in my head. What were we running fun? Who were we running from?

"Hey there." Someone tapped me, breaking me away from my thoughts. I jumped, spilling the rest of my book bag's content onto the floor. "Oh geez! Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you."

I could tell it's a boy's voice. I turned around to help him. We both scrambled to pick up my things. I finally looked at him. He was way way taller than most men and slender. He also had black wavy hair and green eyes, unsettling green eyes and the cutest dimples.

"OMG ALANA! I WANT THAT ONE!" Eris yelled.

Shut up.

I was caught staring too long. I quickly stood up and made the mistake of hitting my head on the locker door. Owww..... Smooth Alana......smooth.

"Are you okay?" He asked my with a concerned look. I nodded vigorously.

"Y-yea. I'm fine." I managed to say with a squeak.

He raised an eyebrow with uncertainty as he handed me my things. "Okay.... Here's your things. I'm Lukas by the way." He smiled exposing his adorable dimples.

"A-Alana." I said quietly.

"Nice to meet you." He grinned. I only blushed profusely and stuffed my things in my locker and darted away.

"Definitely a good first impression. He'll definitely like you for you." Eris said sarcastically.

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all, because you are not helping crap. I snarled angrily.

On my awkwardly dash away from Lukas, I ran into someone else. Smack dab into their chest.

"Hey, you wanna watch where you're going?" He asked.

I looked up at him. OMG! Dude was like magazine hot. He had this golden auburn colored hair, in a buzzcut. To me he looked like an elegant soldier. And was every girl's real life proof of what a bad boy looks like. To the leather jacket, ripped jeans, sleeved tattoos arm to....pretty much everything.

"Umm..... Sorry." I said quietly avoiding eye contact. He looked down at me and smiled.

"No, it's fine, I can managed to let it slide for someone as beautiful as you." He put his hand under my chin and lifted my head so I could meet with his deep blue eyes. I felt my cheeks blush.

"I WANT BOTH OF THEM!"

SHUT UP!!!

"Okay thanks gotta go." I said pushing a rogue strand of hair out my face. He grabbed my hand.

"Wait. What is your name?" He smiled.

"Alana." I said still trying to pull away.

"....Alana... I'll remember that. See you around school." He grinned and let go. I gave a quick smile and continued walking.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Some girl came up and yelled. It startled me and I slid to the side.

"W-what was what?" I looked at her.

She looked as if she could be related to Lukas with those unsettling green eyes.

"You and him. Jacob."

"What do you mean?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You got him to talk to you. He never speaks to just any girl. How?" She waved her hands frantically.

"I don't know. I just ran into him.... Literally." I said secretly hoping she would end this conversation, but boy was I wrong.

I'm a people magnet today because here comes another person.

"Aali!! Have you seen Luke?" A guy walked up looking just like that Lukas guy. My jaw dropped. Twins? He looked my way and smiled.

"Aaliyah, who's your cute friend?" He grinned.

"This is....what's your name?" She looked at me.

"Alana."

"Nice to meet you Alana. Wow you're gorgeous." He slicked his hair back.

I rolled my eyes. Aaliyah rolled her eyes also.

"This is my brother Markus, he's the youngest out of us triplets." She crossed her arms flipping her hair to one side causing a guy to cat call her and she kindly flipped him off. I raised an eyebrow in shock.

"I like this girl. Stick with her."

You think so?

"I know so. I have a feeling about those triplets."

I guess...

The bell rang for first period.  All three if us ran to our homeroom. Turns out, I'm in the same homeroom as the triplets and that Jacob guy.

"Is this seat taken?" I think it was Markus who asked.

Then again it could be Lukas because he didn't comment on my looks and it's those undeniable dimples.

"No." I said quietly hiding my face with my hair. I heard him sit next to me. Then he leaned closer and whispered in my ear.

"You know... It's kinda rude to run away without saying thank you." He said with a hint of amusement in his voice. I face palmed. He chuckled. "It's fine." He sighed. I decided to look at him. He was casually slouched in his seat. Apparently, I was staring too long again, then he looked at me and winked. I turned away blushing. Yup... So much for first impressions today, because I suck  at it.
