That jerk walked towards the huge wooden door and it automatically opened, revealing a long red carpet and a glistening interior. I just stood in place, not intending to follow. I mean... I look like a freaking mess. I don't think I deserve to step a foot inside this grandiose castle.

He turned to face me and slightly tilted his head to the right as if instructing me to go after him. I groaned as I walked towards him. A lot of castle maids lined up on each side of the carpet and bowed down to us. "Welcome back Prince Hiro" they greeted in unison. Wait... he was really that Prince?! I looked at him in disbelief. He definitely didn't look like one plus his attitude made it even worse. I swear those girls were squealing over nothing.

This jerk just looked at all these people who made an effort to greet him then he continued walking. Doesn't he know how to plaster a smile on his face or even just say a simple thank you? I rolled my eyes.

He stopped by across someone who's dressed a bit differently compared to the other maids. This one must be the head maid. "Guide this one to her room and fix her up," He instructed.

The head maid looked at him confused as if she didn't get what he just said. The jerk looked at me then he pulled my hood down. The head maid went like 'ohh' as if finally getting what he meant then she bowed down.

I just stood in here with a dumb look on my face. I felt embarrassed as we walked on the carpet, not even realizing no one saw me this whole time. Ugh, how did I forget about this cloak?

"Well then, I'll leave her in your care," He told the head maid.

"As you will, Prince Hiro." the head maid answered.

That guy then walked up to someone who's probably a butler. The head maid raised her hand and all the other maids started to disperse as if going back to their tasks. "Shall we go now milady?" the head maid kindly asked.

"Y-yes," I answered, trying to act formally as well. We started going up the white golden staircase then turned to the opposite direction that guy and the butler was going. I guess this is where we go our separate ways.

As we were walking down the hallway, I can't help but stare at all these expensive-looking walls, furniture, and decorations. I think I haven't passed by anything that doesn't have gold or diamond on it. I mean I even saw a vase made out of pure gold. I think bringing back even just one furniture with me to the human world will give me a few thousand dollars. I'll make sure to bring back something with me when the time comes. I thought so wickedly. I'm confident they won't even realize they'll be missing one when they have these many.

After walking for a while and making several turns in this wide hallway, we finally stopped in front of a door. I guess this is probably my room. Gosh, I couldn't even remember which way we went to because I was too distracted planning what items should I bring home with me.

The head maid opened my room and my eyes glistened in astonishment. Wow... this is exactly how I wanted my room to be! This bedroom is unexpectedly wide with a nicely decorated pastel pink queen-sized bed in the center. The walls are painted in rose gold color, patterned with a silver line embellishment. The beautifully designed vanity table also caught my attention and the lotus-shaped chandelier hanged on the ceiling gave a nice touch to everything.

The head maid showed me the room's bathroom which has a spacious bathtub, toilet, and shower. She then led me to a walk-in closet which contains a lot of dresses, heels, and accessories that I could freely wear. There's even a lot of spaces left to add more clothes. Do they usually have this kind of room for visitors??

She opened the big curtain and showed me the terrace. I didn't think that there was still something that could surprise me after all that, but oh my gosh. This view is everything! I was mesmerized by the beautiful scenic view that I didn't know I'll ever see in my entire life.

I just kept staring at the view when the head maid called for me. She then showed me a hidden bookshelf, which is filled with books that I can freely read on my pastime. This is truly amazing.

The head maid gave me a few instructions on how to utilize things like ringing the bell placed on my bedside table whenever I need something. Lastly, she said I should prepare for an audience with the queen then she left me so I could privately take a bath and told me she'd be back to help me dress up.

Although I badly wanted to lie down on the bed and take a rest, I have no other choice but to rush to the bathroom. I can't possibly present myself before the Queen looking like a cow. I carefully placed my fae pet who's still asleep on top of the bed. I slid off from my pajamas then folded it nicely, placing it on a couch. I touched my necklace and stared at these two things which are the only reminder left with me from my world. I haven't taken this off for as long as I can remember because mom said it's my lucky charm so I should wear it at all times. Although I don't feel quite lucky with everything that's happening right now.

I shook off the dismal thoughts from my head and went to the bathroom soaking myself in the bathtub filled with warm water and some flower petals that gives off a calming aroma that was prepared by the head maid. Ahh.. this is indeed so calming and refreshing. I let myself soaked in it for a couple of minutes until my head and body felt much lighter.

I got off the bathtub and wrapped myself with a towel then I entered the walk-in closet to choose a dress to wear. There were a lot of dresses to choose from and I had a hard time deciding what to wear until I saw a simple yet elegant long pink dress. I decided to go along with it since I didn't want to wear something uncomfortable like a ballgown plus it's also my favorite color.

I slid into the dress then rang the bell to let the head maid finish off my look. I almost woke Myrtle up because of the noise, but I immediately patted her head and she fell back asleep. The head maid entered my room with two more other maids. I felt a bit conscious having three people do over my look, but I guess it does make work faster.

In less than 10 minutes, they were all done. The other maid showed me some accessories to wear, but I just picked a pair of simple earrings that matched my necklace. I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. I do be hitting a bit different with make-up on and this braided hairstyle though. I thanked them for their work and they exited the room. The head maid told me to wait for a while and that she'll be back when it's time to go.

I just stared at myself in the mirror appreciating the light make up they did which fitted well with my dress.

I heard someone knocked on the door after a while. "Milady, it's time to go" the head maid called. "Okay," I answered as I walked towards the door. I was about to exit when suddenly, I heard Myrtle's voice in my mind.

'Deww..? Where are you going,' she asked rubbing her eyes.

'Oh I was just about to go to meet the Queen,' I told her then she immediately flew towards me.

'Don't leave me behind,' she said with a sad puppy look on her eyes.

'Aww.. sorry. You were sleeping soundly so I didn't wanna wake you up,' I told her.

'It's okay to wake me up. Just don't leave me alone,' she pouted. I chuckled. I guess baby fae pets can be so clingy. I just nodded at her. Myrtle sat on my shoulder then the head maid led us to where we're about to go.

After walking and making a lot of turns we finally arrived at what seems like the dining area. I swear this castle feels like a maze. I couldn't even remember the way back to my room. My ankles also started hurting since I'm not used to wearing heels.

The dining hall is so spacious that it's wider than our whole house. Their lengthy dining table can even accommodate about 34 people. Seriously, why do they have these many seats? Are they perhaps a big family?

There are so many different kinds of cuisines and desserts placed on top of the table that it feels like we're having a feast. My attention then went over to the beautiful, elegant, and aristocratic young woman sitting at the other end of the table wearing a magnificent crown. Wow.. she surely is the queen. There were also some people seated near the queen, but I couldn't clearly see them.

She smiled at me, "Why are you still standing there? Please take a seat and join us for dinner," the beautiful woman called and I awkwardly smiled back.

The head maid ushered me to move so I started walking nervously towards where the queen is seated. As I was getting closer, I realized that the jerk was the one on the right side of the queen and cross him are two young identical girls. They seem like twins.

"Sit beside Hiro. Don't worry, he won't bite." the queen said, smiling. If only she knew how her son threatened me to death. I forced a smile on my face not really wanting to seat next to this guy. The butler then pulled out a seat for me.

The queen has a stunning silver hair with lavender highlights and mesmerizing purple eyes just like her son. She closed her eyes and muttered an unfamiliar language then they all started eating. I guess that's their way of praying before a meal. I was expecting a lot of people to come, but I think it's just the five of us eating this feast. Royalties do prepare too much food every time.

They were eating so elegantly which intimidated me since I don't practice table manners and etiquette. They have this table napkin and a complete set of different kinds of table utensils that I'm so confused about what to use. I remember our home economics teacher once discussed that the trick to this is to use the utensils from inner to outer. So I first got the fork and the knife nearest to the plate then began slicing my pork steak. Thank you, teacher! These lessons do come handy in the future.

"So... what's your name young lady?" I almost sliced my fingers due to the sudden question. I faced the queen who is smiling at me anticipating my answer.

"D-dewelet Morgan," I stuttered. The queen chuckled.

"Don't be too nervous my dear. You can consider this palace your home now so be more comfortable," the queen said smiling brightly.

My home huh... how can I do that? I just can't think about living in this place. This is not my world. I don't belong here. Plus this guy beside me doesn't let me feel welcomed as well.

"Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet have I? I apologize for that. I'm Lorraine Clementine Fineux. Queen of Araindale kingdom." she formally said. Oh so this is what this town is called—I mean kingdom. I just slightly bowed my head in respect, not knowing what to say.

"The one who brought you here is my only son, Hiro Aurelius Fineux." She introduced. "I hope he didn't harm you? He can be a bit aggressive at times, but he's a good child," She assured. I remembered the time he almost sliced my neck so I kind of doubt her words. He did do a good thing back in the forest, but overall I still think he's a jerk.

I forced a smile, "Ah not really," I just replied because he didn't physically harm me yet. Almost.

"That's great. I hope both of you would have a good relationship," the queen added. I smiled awkwardly and looked at him thinking we would never.

"These two adorable young ladies here are my twin daughters Eloise and Elaisa Fineux," She introduced next. I looked at them and smiled brightly. The other one smiled at me as well in response while the other felt a bit shy. They truly look alike, only the color of their dresses made the difference.

"Hey, why are your ears not long like us," the other one suddenly asked.

"Elaisa. Have you forgotten what I told you?" the queen interrupted. "I'm sorry," the one called Elaisa said, bowing down her head.

The queen looked at me, "I apologize for that. They haven't been briefed about the situation yet,"

"No, it's okay," I just replied. Of course, it must be weird for faeries to see someone like me in this world.

'I'm hungry,' I heard Myrtle said so I gave her 1 pomple berry placed in a small bowl near my plate.

"That must be the legendary fae pet," the queen smiled. "I'm glad we already found it. Thank you for coming with my son. It means a lot to us," the queen said looking so grateful. I didn't know if I deserve her gratitude because it was more like I was forced to come.

"And I forgot to introduce to you, how silly of me. This is my fae pet, Sky." a blue purplish fae pet suddenly appeared floating beside the queen. I thought Queen Lorraine doesn't have a fae pet with her, but it seems like it was just invisible.

"She's really shy so she doesn't show herself to others unless I tell her to," The queen explained. Sky slightly bowed herself to me then disappeared like a mist.

I tried to shake off the amazement as there is still some important matter that I'm bothered about. "So uhm.. There's something I've been meaning to ask." I started.

"Hm? Go ahead." The queen permitted.

"Is there a way I can go back home?" Her expression suddenly changed. The queen paused for a while then laughed elegantly.

"We'll discuss that some other time. For now, let us just enjoy the meal," she replied, evading the question.

We continued eating in silence. It felt awkward, but I just savored the delicious taste of the food. After the extravagant meal, Queen Lorraine told me to rest for the night and that she'd like to discuss some important matters with me tomorrow.
