"W-who are you?" I bravely asked.

"What are you doing with a fae pet egg?" he answered with another question.

A fae pet egg? Is this what this thing called? "You know about this?" I asked back.

The strange guy glared at me with those penetrating purple eyes. Just who in the world is this person. Is he an enemy?

"You mortals shouldn't meddle with these beings. Give that egg to me if you still want to get out of here alive," he warned.

I cannot believe this. Does he intend to kill me? Then this means this guy can't possibly be a good person. If that's the case then I cannot give this egg to him.

"No." I firmly stated trying hard to keep my legs from shaking. I'm honestly scared for my life right now. I shouldn't have gone to the garden if I knew this was going to happen.

His eyes even became more menacing. "Give it to me when I'm still asking nicely,"

Nicely you say? You just threatened to kill me a while ago! I want to say to him, but I couldn't even open my mouth properly. I backed my foot bit as I held the egg tighter. Maybe I can make a run for it? Our house is near so I can probably make it.

Just when I was about to do it, he suddenly appeared behind my back. He's fast!

"Don't even think about running. You will not escape from me." He warned.

I froze in place. I'm too scared to even move a finger, but I should still do something. I cannot die like this! I tried to kick him by surprise, but he easily caught my attack and held my arms captive.

"See? I can just easily take this egg from you and it'll all be over. Yet you had to resist like that so I have no other choice, but to kill you I guess?" he said nonchalantly as if my life doesn't matter to him at all.

A sharp light shaped like a knife suddenly came out of his finger, aiming at my neck. How is that possible! This person can't possibly be a human. What in the world is he? I felt hopeless about this realization. Mom... Hazel.. someone, please help me! I cried in my thoughts.

I heard a cracking sound and looked at my hand. It seems like the egg is about to hatch.

"Shit," I heard him muttered. In a flash of light, he disappeared from my back and returned to the spot where I first saw him. I quickly checked my hand and realized that the egg was gone too. No way! It's with him already.

I looked at the beaming egg in his hand. I want to retrieve it from him, but I know it's beyond my power. For that one week, I've been taking care of that thing, I felt like I've grown attached to it already and the creature that could be inside it. Hazel was also excited to see it...

'Just put some more trust in yourself' I remember her saying and somehow it suddenly filled me with courage. I mustered the strength to run towards him.

"Give that back to me!" I shouted in my run.

It took him by surprise and I was able to get a hold of the egg. "What are you doing? Stup-" the sudden blinding light that came out of the egg cut him off and I also instinctively closed my eyes.

When I noticed that the light was gone I opened my eyes and was greeted by a pair of round emerald eyes. I blinked my eyes and it followed me, blinking as well.

It stared at me and said, "Ma - ma" Mama?! I'm too young to be a mother.

"Ma...ster," It continued as it slowly flew in the air and rubbed its forehead against mine. Aww... she's so cute, but wait-- master??

The creature landed in my arms and yawned as it closed its eyes and slept peacefully. Remembering the strange guy, I turned the creature away. I just felt like I need to protect it from him.

He sighed and rubbed his forehead. "You're really stupid, aren't you?"

"W-what?" I asked. I just noticed that he has an elven like ears and there's also something similar to this creature floating right beside his head. Why didn't I notice that a while ago?

"Are you perhaps an elf?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Correction, it's a faerie." the creature beside him answered. "Now that you have a fae pet, you can probably see me as well, right?" it continued and I just nodded.

It looked at the strange guy. "Master, now that the legendary fae pet has imprinted on her. We have no other choice, but to bring her back with us," the creature whispered to him although I can slightly hear it.

The strange guy nodded then he looked at me. "Come with us," He firmly stated as he held unto my wrist. He began to wave his other hand in motion, forming some abstruse pattern. Then, he closed his eyes as if concentrating to make something appear.

"Wait, what are you doing? Let go of me!" I tried to get off from his grasp, but he just tightened his hold even more.

An elongated circle that seemed to be as deep as a black hole opened right in front of us. Swirling around from a color of light blue to its darkest shade which looks so deep. It must be a portal. The guy then walked towards it, but I tried to stop him with all my might from entering.

"Wait! This is too sudden. I just can't go somewhere with you!" I protested.

He narrowed his eyes at me, "You should be thankful you're still alive right now. I don't have any more plans on killing you, but if you want to stay alive. You have no other choice, but to come with me." He coldly stated as he entered the portal, dragging me along with him.

I felt dizzy after passing through that portal. I massaged my throbbing temples then opened my eyes to observe where we are right now. We have arrived in this amazing, enigmatic place. This world is just... different from ours and I think we just landed in a forest. It's also dark but you wouldn't seem to mind it since the trees are sparkling giving us light. The plants are so beautiful with different complementing colors, roaming around the place shimmering at irregular intervals.

I noticed that he is still holding my wrist tightly so I tried to pull it off and he finally let go of me. "I won't run away," I just said.

"You won't be able to," He simply replied. This jerk...

He started walking so I just followed him. I looked at this fae pet, was it? that's currently resting in my hands. Then, she smiled in her sleep. Aww, she's so cute with pinkish cheeks, and fair skin. It has long wavy golden hair and a cute dress in light pink with rose-colored flowers surrounding its waist and some parts of her hair. It's also holding a thin golden staff on her right hand. It's similar to Tinkerbell! But a toddler version without wings. I think this one will still grow a little, about the same size as that guy's fae pet.

Speaking of that guy, I glared at his back and imagined how I can strangle his neck even just for a second. How dare he threatened to kill me a lot of times and brought me here against my will. He stopped on his tracks and looked at me. I instantly looked down. Geez, what's his problem. Could he perhaps sense my killing intent? I should be more careful.

He continued walking and I just stared at his back. He's tall alright and also has a well-built body. He's wearing green leaf-like clothing that emphasized his built partnered with black pants. His dark hair with silver highlights compliments his enigmatic purple eyes. He's a faerie, right? I thought they're good-natured, but it looks like I happened to meet an ill one.

It's far from what I've imagined. I thought faeries were like Tinkerbell, a tiny creature with wings. That guy is just different and he doesn't even have wings. Maybe he's just hiding it? But Nah, we wouldn't be walking in the first place if he did have wings.

The fae pet sleeping in my arm suddenly woke up as if it was startled by something. It looked around, alert like something bad is going to happen. The strange guy also stopped on his tracks, vigilant as he eyed the surroundings. Then all of a sudden, dark shadows started appearing from both our sides running fast, swiftly leaping from trees to trees. On spur of moment, the strange guy was right close to me within seconds.

What the hell is happening!?
