One day, in the land of Equestria there was a royal family with 2 parents and 2 daughters but the queen was pregnant. The family was told by a fortune teller that they shall have a boy at sunset on August 21.

The parents were excited but the daughters weren't sure how to feel. Would they like the boy? Would he be kind or evil? Would he be better than them? Will he be the first to rule Equestria?

They would just have to wait and see. But one day, on July 12 the sky turned dark. The ponies of Equestria look up in horror to see that the sun was black with light shining from the edges. The ponies were scared. Afraid that the order between day and night has broken. Inside the kingdom however, the queen has gone into labor.

She was lying in her bed taking deep breaths while the king held her hoove. The sisters had worried expressions on their faces. Then, it happed. The child was born. But it wasn't a boy like they expected. It was a GIRL! Everypony in the room was shocked. All except the young filly.

She appeared to have grey fur with a purple mane and tail with light purple streechs in them. They had sparkles like Luna's. She also had big light red eyes not like crimson or anything dark like that. She also had a horn that shone like Celestia's and big wings not super huge but bigger that any normal filly's wings. She also had a big toothless smile on her face as she look around the room with curiosity.

For a while, everypony just stood there shocked but that shocked expression soon was replaced with joy and happiness. The king and queen embraced the young filly while the two sisters and servents look at the scene with a smile.

"What shall we name her?" The king asked. The queen layed there for a minute looking at the filly. She turned her attention to the window. She started to get up but winced in pain in the process. The servants rushed to her side. "My lady you must rest, you are in no condition to be standing, let alone walking." The first servent said. "Please just let me see the window." she said while still holding the unnamed filly. The two servants looked at each other with a worried expression but soon nodded. The queen was always the stubborn type but what can they do. They both lifted the queen up gently and slowly and helped her towards the window.

The queen looked around the window to see that it was dark and the people looking up in worry. 'Why was it so dark and why do they look so scared? ' The queen thought as she looked up. What she saw was shocking but in stead of looking scared she looked... Amazed. 'What a beautiful sight!' she thought. She looked down at her young filly to see her looking up as well and she appeared to be giggling. What shall the queen call this phenomenon? A shadowing? No no that doesn't sound right. A concealing? No! Hmmmm. Then like a tidal wave it came to the queen with such speed she ALMOST forgot. 'An eclipse! That sounds beautiful! Hmmm but what about her? Hmm AH HA!'

"We shall call her... Elise!" She proclaimed. "Elise," the king repeated "...what a beautiful name!" The two sisters smiled at the thought. The filly smiled as they said the name. This will be the start of something beautiful.
