It's been two days since we left that tavern, and the guard. I hate my father for having search parties look for me, I can handle myself! Don't freak out in front of Ash, Blake, not yet...

"Blake, are you ok? You've been quiet this whole time, what's bothering you?" Ash asked and her eyes were full of worry and sadness, what could make her sad?

"It's just that, my father has been over protective ever since the death of my mom and the disappearance of my twin sister. He's just too controlling and doesn't know when to let me be me." I was actually sorta depressed, but she had to know.

"I'm so sorry 'bout your mom dying and your sister disappearing," ---she sighed---"I don't remember my childhood at all, or my family."

"I'm sorry for you too, guess we have something both in common."

"Yeah, guess we do."

I heard a sound in a bush and instantly pulled out my imperial sword and stood in front of Ash, I don't know why I felt like I had to protect her but I had to. The sound became a voice.

"P-please don't hurt me! I overheard your conversation and I-I wanna help." Said the voice from the bush, but then a blonde girl came out and put her hands up.

Ash's POV

"Blake, I think I know her, Put your sword away." I said, he was protecting me from a blonde women I slightly remember.

"I dont know who she is" Blake muttered, his voice full of something I've once heard my father use. I barely remember my family and brother, but certain tones I do remember and Blake used the one my father used too often when he scolded me and my brother.

"P-please, I'm unarmed." The blonde girl spoke, she sounded so scared and her eyes said she was frightened.

"Whats your name?" I knelt down to her and asked, she flinched when I touched her shoulder.

"I don't remember my name but I do remember you, Ash, and you, Blake."

"Wait, how would you know us? I don't remember you." Blake said, still with that tone, it was starting to get annoying.

"It's a long story and it contains stuff that would result in someone wiping your minds, again." The young, mysterious girl said then she stood up and ran into the forest.

"Hey!" I said right has she pushed me over and ran away. "Whats wrong with her?"

Blake helped me up and I grabbed an amulet that the mysterious blonde girl had dropped. It has an engraving on it that read: To whom owns this amulet, is granted with a special magic to save or destroy all. I showed it to Blake and he just shrugged.

"Ash, maybe you should wear it. It would look good with your outfit." Blake said, he didn't have my father's tone anymore.

I put on the amulet and we set off again on our journey to the Light Temple. It was growing dark and all of a sudden I fell to the ground and the darkness consumed me. I couldn't see or feel anything but I could hear my heartbeat and Blake's voice.

"Ash! Ash, get up!" He was frantic, his voice started to fade away.

"Don't leave...me..." I faintly said. I couldn't really hear my voice but I knew Blake heard me because I felt someone pick me up.

"I won't leave you, Ash, I'll always be here..." He said as I was drifting in and out of consciousness.

Blake's POV

"I won't leave you, Ash, I'll always be here." I said. I felt her heartbeat and breathing calm down and then she was a girl asleep in my arms. Maybe the amulet has something to do with her fainting? I thought. It was a possibility but not likely.

I walked into a meadow and I put down the sleeping ash onto a soft patch of grass. She instantly curled up into a ball and was shivering slightly. I took off my coat and put it on her, then I went to set up a tent for her.

Just as I was walking away she reached out and grabbed my leg. "You said that you won't leave me..." She said has her face calmed and she went back to sleep.

How did she know I was going to the other side of the field? I thought. "I'll be setting up a tent, Ash, I'll be right back." I said as I left to set up a tent.

I was done setting up the tent and went over to where ash was. She was still curled up into a ball and I picked her up. She nestled her head into the crooked of my arm and I was scared for her because she looked so innocent and fragile. She looked like she was only a young teen, I set her down in the tent and she grabbed my hand. She held tight and I could tell she was scared, I don't know what was going on in her head but I was sure she was extremely frightened.

Ash's POV

I woke up in next to blake, his face was calm but I could tell he was scared for someone or something. I carefully got up and walked out of the tent, but right as the cold air hit me I fell down and Blake woke up. He crawled to me, because we were in the tent, I fell and he caught me. I don't know what was going on with me but I knew that I need him to help me out.

"B-Blake..." I said as the darkness started to close in on me.

"Ash, it's ok. Try to stay awake and look at me, I'll take the amulet off of you if you want me to." He was worried about me, I could tell. His eyes we're huge and his voice was frantic.

"I don't know what's going on, Blake." I said as I started to cry a little.

"It's ok, just keep your eyes on mine, Ash, be strong." He said as he ripped the amulet off of me.

Then all of a sudden there was nothing but me and him and a bright light. I couldn't see or hear anything but him, then I heard him say something but I couldn't hear it.

He put the amulet back on me and the world came back. It was weird but then I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep, the friendly darkness consuming me.

"Ash, don't go to sleep! Stay awake, please!" He said, it was like he was scared for me.

"Blake, don't ever leave me, please. I-I need you..." I said has I felt his arms wrap around me. It was warm but I didn't know what he was saying.

"I will never let you go, Ash, I need you, too" was all I could hear. Then everything was dark, I curled up into a ball and went to sleep in his warm arms.
