Rey backed away slightly. "What do you mean?" 

"Well I doubt Poe and FN 2187 are just going to sit back and watch you and Mom take your rightful places at my side." He took her hand in him. "No matter what they say no one will speak against you with out feeling my wrath, but I do not wish to start our reign with blood being shed." 

Leia nodded. "I don't want them to die but, I made my choice. Nothing will ever change that." She sighed. "Unfortunately, the rest of the resistance does not understand or feel the same." 

"I know they will come after you." Kylo looked at Rey directly. "I know you have a light about you I need you sufficate it for tonight."

Rey opened her mouth then rethought and shut it again. "Okay." She nodded simply. 

"Now, Mom, Rey are you ready?" He extended both arms, the ladies linked their arms through them and they left the room.

Holocams flew around filming and broadcasting the event as Kylo kissed his mother's cheek and walked with General Hux to the front of the room past the rows of storm troopers and commanders, up the stairs and to the dais surrounded by Kylo's death Troopers. 

Hux turned and looked at Ren. He made eye contact and nodded. "The late Supreme Leader Snoke would be proud of today. He served us nobly and has left us a great successor." He motioned to Kylo. "Snoke had been grooming and training Kylo Ren, Master of the Knights of Ren, ever since he found him. He decided that after his death Lord Ren would take command." He placed his fist to his heart and bowed. "And now Lord Ren is our Emperor." 

Kylo knelt before Hux and he placed a golden circlet on his thick mass of hair. "Rise Emperor Kylo Ren, Master of the Knights of Ren, ruler of the Galaxy." 

Kylo rose and turned. His long black cape was dramatically draped over his right shoulder and his tunic and pants were tailored and well made. He moved and sat on his newly constructed throne. Everyone in the room bowed before their emperor. 

Kylo stood and spoke. "I am honored to accept this position. I will now be introducing two people who will be helping me and General Hux in our establishment of the New Order."

He motioned for Hux to rise and stand next to him on his left. He twitched his hand and Rey and Leia knew it was their cue. They slowly and steadily walked to the front of the room and joined Kylo. 

"I give you Princess Leia Organa-Solo, the Queen Mother." Those in the room bowed and clapped respectfully to the feared General. 

"And now I give you someone special. Long lost Princess Rey Palpatine, granddaughter of the great Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. The ruler of the Galaxy prior to Supreme Leader Snoke." He extended his hand. She placed sparkling left hand in his. He pulled her to his side. "I have asked the lost Princess to be my bride. She has agreed and is now your Empress." 

Those in the room knelt and bowed their heads. "For now she is a lady, she receives her full Empress status at our union." He touched her cheek. " You will treat her as though she is your Empress for now." 

Rey and Leia knelt and Hux placed a tiara on Leia's head and a silver circlet on Rey's. 

Rey and Kylo walked to the thrones and sat. The Queen mother sat to Kylo's left on a small chair and Rey to his right on a luxurious throne. 

"Long live the Emperor!" The shouts began. "Long live the Empress! Long live the Queen mother!" 

The holocams flashed off and the crowd slowly dispersed. Rey and Kylo met with commanders and generals as well as the head of the Army, Captain Phasma.

The resistance Base. 

Finn was shaken from his slumber by a frantic Poe. 

"Finn. Get up. Now!" Poe pushed him out of bed. 

"Okay okay! I am up. What?" He stood. 

"Just come right now." Poe grabbed his arm and pulled him to the holovideo playing on the screen. 

The red headed General was talking with a smug looking Ren next to him. 

"It is just Ren so what?" Finn shrugged. 

"Just. Watch." Poe ground out. 

Finn sighed and fastened his gaze to the clear video. The red head was finished speaking and now Ren was kneeling. A pure gold circlet was placed on his head. The dark haired man rose walked to his throne, sat and opened his mouth to speak. 

"I am honored to accept this position." 

"I am sure you are." Finn muttered. 

"I will now be introducing two people who will be helping General Hux and myself in bringing about the New Order." 

Finn watched as the man stood and the shorter man next to him. He watched two darkly robed figures make their way to the front. They were about the same height and both had dark colored hair. Though one was sprinkled with grey. 

"Hey those two look like-" Finn trailed off and his eyes widened. They turned around and he was hit with the truth. 

"I give you  Princess Leia Organa-Solo, the Queen mother." Leia curtsied slightly and then stood tall and proud. 

"No." Finn muttered. Poe was seething near him. "No she couldn't." 

"Now I give you someone special. Long lost Princess Rey Palpatine." Finn's eyes went full white and he quit listening to the man. 

"Rey? A lost princess?"

"A Palpatine none the less." Poe chimed in.

Finn refocused his attention to the screen. "I have asked the lost Princess to marry me and she has agreed." The camera zoned in on her sparkling left hand. A large diamond ring sat proudly on her ring finger. It was surrounded by small diamonds and a ruby or two. "She is now your Empress." 

"NO!" Finn cried. "No Rey it isn't true! She would never."

"Well apparently she would because there she is smiling and accepting Kylo's hand touching her. And now she is receiving her ladyship." Poe gave a play by play because Finn could not bear to watch. 

The trio sat on their seats and Kylo and Rey joined hands. 

"She actually looks happy." Poe pointed out. 

Finn's face screwed up. She is not. His brain worked against Poe.

"They are begging for war. If that is what they want that is what they get."
