Chapter 3- Like me
"Lethal." The word slipped from Ben's lips before he could stop it. Rey spun to look at him.
"Ben?" She moved closer to him. "What did you say?"
"Nothing, Rey nothing at all." He smirked at her bewildered expression. Seeing her dressed from head to toe in black was like a dream come true. She was draped in a black cloak and had on a black dress that opened just enough at the top to show off her pale neck and collarbone. Just like in his dreams.
"Why do you always come at the most difficult times?" She huffed.
Her unique lightsaber was clipped to her belt. She looked every bit like the war goddess he had seen in his vision.
"You and I both know I am not doing this." He leaned back on his throne. "I have just as much control over this bond as you do. Which by the way is none." Ben let his gaze follow her as she spun around to face him.
"I just found out my parentage and all you can do is sit there and smirk." She was shaking. The power of the darkness was infusing her veins, lighting her on fire.
"Easy Rey." He considered her a moment. "You need a teacher in this web of lies that have been placed around you."
She laughed. "Why would I come to you again?"
"Because you need me." He bolted out of his seat. "Because no one, outside of my mother, at the underground hole you call a resistance cares about you nor will they understand that you are not the pure innocent Jedi they thought you were. That you are not like them. That you are Royalty. Just like me." He stood near her. "Rey Palpatine you are not nothing. You are not Scum. You are a royal. You are the granddaughter to a sith legend." He reached for her and she shied away. She sat on the bed. He knelt next to her.
"We are a like in more ways then one." He sighed. "How do you think your friend FN 2187, will respond to the fact that you are like me?"
The bond snapped shut and she was left with an assurance that she had never felt before.
She felt the darkness souring in her. The string of light that was in her was extinguished. She needed to destroy something. She stormed to the forest and laid waste to it. She stood in the rubble of the trees and rocks.
A voice sounded in her head. "Good, good. Use the hate."
"Grandfather?" She asked out loud.
"Yes child." A new tone was in his voice.
"Is Ben who I need?"
"Rey, it is not for you question. You already know the truth." The voice faded away and Rey stood in shock. Ben. The thought permeated her very being with hope and truth.
Rey left the forest and ran to the camp. The soldiers around her shied away.
She pulled her hood up and over her head. She hid the storm of feeling that were swirling around in her with a curtain courage. She could feel Ben's presence near her. Like he was watching after her.
"Rey. General Organa wants to speak with you." Poe looked at her. "Are you okay?"
Rey smirked. "Just fine. Take me to her."
