(3rd POV)

The sounds of alarms blaring echoed through Atlas. Men dressed in white uniforms ran around a control room. The doors at the back of the room slid open as a rather well dressed man entered. He was the command of the Atlasian military, General James Ironwood.

Ironwood: What's going on!?

Crewmen: An unidentifiable object has entered our atmosphere! Based on its trajectory it's gonna crash somewhere around Vale!

He looked at the main screen and saw a projected image of the object along with actual footage of it. Based on what he saw it looked like some sort of ship.

Ironwood: Someone get me Ozpin! I'll be in my office!

The man nodded to him and hurried away. As Ironwood entered his office a screen dropped from the ceiling and projected Ozpin on screen.

Ozpin: Why have you called?

Ironwood: Something is about to crash around Vale. It shouldn't be anywhere near the city to cause problems, but I recommend you go and see what it is

Ozpin: Oh? Do you know what it is?

Ironwood: I do not... From what I saw it looks like a ship of some sort

Ozpin: I'll send someone right away then. Thank you for informing me

The transmission cut and Ironwood was left looking at his reflection in the screen. He didn't like that Ozpin would be getting whatever the object was, but he had to accept it.

Meanwhile at Beacon

Ozpin pressed on a button on his desk. He tapped on a microphone once to check if it was on before speaking.

Ozpin: Team Rwby can you come to my office

He let go of the button and put his hands together. He held them in front of his face and stared at them.

Ozpin: (If Ironwood was right about it being a ship, who or what is inside. This could turn out to be troubling)

The ding of the elevator caused him to look up. Team Rwby walked out curious as to what Ozpin has called them for.

Ruby Rose, the teams appointed leader stepped forward and asked the question they were all wondering.

Ruby: Why have you called us? Do we have a new mission?

Ozpin: You do. Ironwood had informed me something will be crashing around here soon, and I'll be sending you to investigate the site

Just as Ozpin said that the object came into view. It flew overhead the school in a ball of fire. It shook the place as it passed by. A loud explosion was hear in the distance and the sound of birds flying away in a panic.

Ruby:...

Weiss:...

Blake:...

Yang:...

Ruby: Would the be our mission?

Ozpin: Yes

Ruby gave Ozpin a quick nod, before they rushed to their missions crash site.

(Y/n POV)

The loud beeping of D4 was getting annoying. Can't let me sleep just a little longer?

D4: Be... Be... Boop!

I slowly opened my eyes, but quickly shut my left one as it was obstructed by what I would assume in blood. D4 was putting out the fire in front of me and I was met with the planet's ground closing in. Just before me was a city and I remember the situation I was in.

I grabbed hold of the controls and steered it as much as I could away from the city. I didn't want to meet the locals by crashing into their cities. Wouldn't be a good first impression.

Y/n: D4?! Can you turn the power back on?!

D4: Boop Beep Boop Boop!

Y/n: Really? Do you really need to be sarcastic right now?

D4: Breeep!

Y/n: I'm going to die. Thanks bud glad you could help...

I flew by a large tower, missing the tip top of it by a bit. As I flew farther into the forest I noticed some old ruins past a cliff face.

Y/n: Great I was hoping to just hit a bunch of trees, but no we get to smash into old building made out of stone. Man the locals are gonna hate me

I put my arms up to cover my face and braced for impact. Now this was my first time crash landing, so I didn't know how painful it was gonna be, but let me tell you. It hurts... a lot...

(3rd POV)

The ship flew past a few stone towers, but wasn't so lucky with the bridge. It smashed into the bridge, bouncing the ship up into an old pillar.

It gave the ship enough force to turn it as it slid across the grass. A part of his wing dug into it, causing his ship to flip and snapping the wing off in the process, until it came to a complete stop as it hit a large tree.

Y/n opened his eyes and to see a shard of glass nearly stabbed into his face. He followed the red stained glass and saw it stabbed clean through his left arm. His right arm had a few cuts and bruises, but other then that was ok.

Y/n climbed out of his ship's cockpit and looked around. His body felt heavy, but he couldn't afford to rest. He looked over to where his droid would be on the ship and saw it was empty.

Y/n: D4?

His droid rolled up behind him and bumped him in the legs. He looked down at him and saw a parachute attached to him still.

Y/n: Ah I see you were fine with letting me die, but not yourself

D4: Boop Boop

Y/n: Yeah I don't think you love me

D4: Beep Boop

Y/n: Sure, Sure let's go with that

Y/n leaned against a tree and slid down it. He wasn't sure if he could stand die much longer.

D4: Breewp Boop

Y/n: I don't look good? I don't feel good!

Y/n looked around him. A small breeze hit his face. He took a deep breath to ease himself. He closed his eyes and focused inward. He cleared his mind of all negative emotions.

A loud rustling grabbed Y/n's attention. He looked towards a large bush, and a black creature came out of it. It had white bone like plates placed around its body.

(Y/n POV)

It's red eyes stared at me. It looked like it was searching for something within my body, but couldn't find it.

D4: Boop

I looked at D4 as he gave a low boop. I placed my hand on his head and rubbed it a little. Something felt off in my body as I did and I coughed up a large amount of blood.

The creature growled at me as it lowered to the ground like it was about to pounce. I was gonna use the force to simply toss it, but as I stretched my hand out I cough up some more blood.

It gave a small roar as it jumped into the air aiming for me, but then a red blur flew past it, cutting it in two.

The red blur stopped next to me revealing a girl with black hair with red tips. Her silver eyes looked at me with worry. They had a pearlescent glint in them.

She said something, but I couldn't hear anything. Everything was muffled and my vision started to get blurry. My eyes felt to heavy to keep open anymore, so I let my body succumb to it. An image of the girl was the last thing that went through my mind.

(3rd POV)

Ruby watched as the boy passed out. With his current state she was almost certain that was something he shouldn't be doing.

Ruby: Hey! You gotta stay awake!

Ruby looked around for anything that would help. She saw the small drone next to him.

Ruby: Uh Hey! Hi! Can you help me...

The droid extended a metal rod and underlined the small name on his chassis. It read ARU-D4.

Ruby:...D4? Please?

D4: Beep Boop

The droid gave a low whining sound, before poking his owner. Ruby looked at it and wasn't sure what help it could provide in this current situation.

Behind her, the rest of her team came running up to them.

Weiss: Ruby! Don't go running of without us!

Ruby: That doesn't matter right now! What matters is he's dying!

Ruby tried to pick Y/n up, but nearly dropped him. She looked at her team with a questioning look. She nodded her head towards Y/n. Yang seemed to get the hint and picked up Y/n.

Ruby: We have to hurry back! I don't know how long he will last!

Timeskip

Ruby was sitting outside the medical room. Beacon had a top of the line staff, so it pulled no punches when it came to medical needs, being a school full of hunters and huntresses, getting hurt was guaranteed.

Ozpin came out of the room with one of the doctors. Ruby stood up and walked over to them.

Ruby: How is he?

Doctor: He is in rough shape. He's got plenty of cuts and bruises, a large gash along his left arm, a small skull fracture, several broken ribs, and a punctured lung

Ruby covered her mouth in shock. The fact that he was alive amazed her.

Doctor: Had you not brought him when you did he would have died. You save his life today

Ruby did smile despite still being in shock from hearing his condition. She and her team had saved him. That's what she really cared about is that they helped someone today.

Ruby looked down as she felt something hit her leg. D4 was looking up at her and waved the small metal rod he used earlier to wave at her.

Ozpin: Do you mind taking care of the droid until he wakes up?

Ruby: Uh sure...

Ozpin nodded to the doctor and Ruby, before walking off. The doctor gave Ruby a reassuring smile, before he also left.

Ruby looked down at the droid wondering what she should say, or if it even understood her.

Ruby: So... Uh... Crazy day huh...

The droid simply smacked itself in the face with the small rod and shook its head. Ruby blushed a little and rubbed the back of her head. When she looked down again she noticed the droid was rolling away.

Ruby: H-Hey! Wait for me!
