Chapter 6- Finding Memories -PrincessWinter12

I had to fill in a little gap here, so the story's mine until I say so. And oh yeah, she gave me the title.

Amy slipped her thumb under the seal and pulled up, breaking it. Inside the envelope was a light, cream-colored letter folded into thirds, which she took out and opened. In the same handwriting that was on the envelope, inside as written:

Greetings to you, Princess Tria Crystalwood. I am your father's advisor, Flaeh (Flay) Halrad. Your father, King Shampan, has requested you to come meet him. As you are new to the castle, and the castle is new to you, please ask Oculiv to summon a guard, if the one who has delivered this is not there, and request him to take you to the Room of Gems. I look forward to seeing you.

Flaeh Halrad, Royal Advisor

Amy turned to Ocliv. "Um, Ocliv, can you, uh, ask a guard to take me to the-" she checked the letter again. "-Room of Gems?"

Ocliv, still looking a little upset at Amy's proclamation from earlier, gave a sharp nod and strode farther into the castle. Amy scurried to keep up. Even though she had longer legs, the virio was much speedier than her. Finally, he slowed down when a guard walked by and called, "Rowan!" The guard stopped and backpedaled, with an annoyed expression on his face.

"Oc, I really don't have time to get you-" he stopped short when he saw Amy.

"P-p-princess? It-it-it's a pleasure to m-m-meet you!"

"Uh, thanks? I was just wondering, could you take me to, uh, the Room of Gems?"

"Of course!" The guard immediately stood straighter and started to walk ahead of them. Amy followed through the maze of hallways, amazed that somebody could remember the way through them.

*****My writing ends, PrincessWinter12's starts*****

The guard led her to the door outside a chamber, which was littered with diamonds and emeralds. The door was made of misted quartz, and Amy couldn't see anything but figures on the other side. One figure wore a crown, so that must've been the king. After the guard and the king talked for a bit, the guard opened the door for Amy with one arm, gesturing for her to come inside.     The room was even more beautiful on the inside.  There were silk bed sheets on a bed made of clouds, and the ceiling had the same floating crystals from earlier, with a small circular opening in them. Amy pinched herself to make sure it was real. It was.

"Tria, my girl!" A booming voice echoed from across the room. "Come here!"

Amy slowly walked towards the king. He had white hair, with purple robes with sewn pictures on it. Many depicted signs of war, tales, and kings. It looked like their history. Her supposed father was in a library with crystal shelves, and the books had strange titles, like, "Magic for Youth: How to Fly", and "The Science of Dragons" or the "The History of the Crystal." She had never heard of any of them.

"Tria!" The king's voice snapped me back into the future. "Did you hear what I said?"

Amy shook her head, and the king sighed.  "Ocular tells me you don't have your memories. Is that correct?" She nodded. "We don't have time for a proper memory spell, but I can show you some of your history. Come."

The king led me to a disk on the floor that was slightly elevated. It had a rainbow color of gems, set in the same misted clear cyrstals. Amy hesitantly stepped onto it. As soon as the king saw that she was on, he lifted his hands, and the disk started to rise into the opening of floating crystals. Amy almost fell over in shock. The disk slid into the the opening, and a pathway was now solid around all of the crystals. They were now in a private room.

"Welcome to the memory chamber. This is where we can talk in private. So first off, what is your name?" He saw the look of confusion, then added, "Other than Tria."

"Amy," she said. "Amy Brown."

"Well, I'll use that until you get accustomed to Tria."

"You were born to a happy family. Your mother and I loved you very much."

A picture flashed on one of the gems. A moving photo of a mother holding a happy baby.

"Then everything changed. Your mother disappeared, kidnapped by a evil sorcerer."

The gem showed the mother being taken by magic, the sorcerer appeared, then disappeared, taking her mother.

"We looked everywhere. But she was no where to be found." The picture showed soldiers storming out of the castle. "Fast-forward some years and it's the day before your twelfth birthday." The screen showed Amy in a lavish room, with a maid helping her into a pale pink dress. "You were kidnapped. We searched for a year, until we pinpointed your location. And now you're back." The screen shut down, and Amy's father turned towards her.

"What's happening now?" Amy asked.

"Tria," His face was grim as he spoke his next words. "War. War between us and the trolls."

*****Sorry if there are mistakes, this was originally written in first person by accident, so I had to change stuff, and I may have missed something! Let me know if ya catch something still there!*****
