Chapter 13 ~ The Past ~ forever_writing_26
Amy woke up in a bed, vaguely aware of everything that had happened. Her eyes flashed with shock as she realized she wasn't in her normal, desolate room. Instead of her bare and clean white walls, the walls in this place were shimmery and almost...magical. The bed beneath her was soft and squishy and she felt like she could just sink into it. Her covers actually kept her warm at this strange place. She took the liberty at that moment to glance down at her outfit, and to her amazement, she was wearing a nice pale blue dress that felt like how she imagined fairy dust to feel against her skin.
A noise sounded from across the room and she looked down the jeweled hallway to see a door open and a peculiar looking woman come out. She grinned brightly when she noticed Amy staring at her.
"Tria!" she exclaimed.
Amy looked at her with a puzzled expression. Who was this 'Tria' she was talking about? Amy looked around quickly to see all the other beds empty. She opened her mouth to correct the lady with the moon tattoo, when it all came back to her.
'Finally you're back, Princess,' the voice in her head stated.
Beranda set down in the seat that had suddenly appeared. She looked at Amy for a second with a motherly look. Beranda's cheeks flushed and Amy saw her eyes shimmer.
"I remember when you were just a little one. You would always take the dream flowers, twirl them around, and blow them in Tracy's face," she chuckled slightly. "And Tracy would get so mad at you that when she woke up, she would take all the dream flowers and blow them around your room so you would sleep for days. I always thought it was a bit harsh."
Amy looked at Beranda with a sympathetic look. She didn't remember any of what Beranda was talking about, but she thought she might want to. Beranda clapped her hands together and it snapped Amy out of her thoughts.
"Well, I shouldn't be telling you about all this, when I can show you! There's a memory chamber downstairs and I can show you all the memories I have about you. After all, it's the past that helps us determine the future."
Beranda stood up from the now nonexistent chair and offered her hand to Amy. As Amy debated if she should take Beranda's hand or not, the voice in her head stated one simple truth.
"Memories are powerful thing. They show us how to change, but sometimes they can be too emotional to handle. Are you ready, Amy?"
Amy couldn't help but question that herself. Was she ready?
~~~~Why do I even bother saying that I have permission?~~~~
Hey everybody, helloilovecats here. I'm loving that quote so much. 'After all, it is the past that determines the future.' And by the way, I've finally gotten around to recording myself reading the first chapter out loud. There are a lot of random comments that I added in between [XD, I pointed out like every single typo] and all, but it's got the entire chapter. It is kinda long, like 17 minutes though. I did not know it would take me that long. I always read silently, and so I never realized how time consuming reading out loud would be :3. Maybe the random comments contributed to that. Anyways, here is the link to the video:
I will also comment it below so that you can click on it and I'll put this link on the first chapter. I'm sorry, I tried, but Wattpad didn't let me embed the video into the media for some reason. I think it's because it's Educreations and not something like Youtube. Anyways, watch it if you have time!
