We got off the plane and into the airport, I couldn't believe that I was actually in Paris! We went to get our suitcases and things and went to the parking lot to wait for our taxi to our hotel. My parents already bought the house but we had to wait a week for the old owners to get out so we had to stay in a hotel for a week. Finally the taxi arrived and we got in and went to our hotel. I looked out the window as we were driving to our hotel. I could see all the houses and shops, french bulldogs! "Aw the dogs are so cute!" Lexi said. I couldn't agree more!. I saw the most amazing thing ever, the Eiffel Tower! I almost jumped out of my seat when I saw it. It was a dream come true. I was taking pictures and selfies along the way.

We finally reached our hotel. We got our luggage and went in to sign in and get our key cards. Our hotel was on level 10 so we went and took the elevator and got into our room. The room was quite big, it had a little couch and TV area with a table, a balcony, a bathroom and a bedroom with 2 big beds. My parents were going to share one bed and my sister and I were going to share the other bed. It was quite spacious and comfortable. I unpacked some of my things and went outside the hotel on the balcony and looked at the view. The view was amazing and I was speechless. It was the perfect view and you could see everything even the Eiffel Tower!

I went out and explored. I walked the streets of Paris and saw all the cool fancy houses and all the little bakeries and cafes. I went to explore a nearby park when I felt like someone was watching me. But it was just a boy. He had light, brown blonde hair with brown, puppy dog eyes. He had a few freckles and was quite tall. I turned around and we both looked at each other. It was like something was making us keep looking at each other, like a magic spell. Then his friends came up to him and they went.

I just kept looking around being amazed by what I was seeing until it started to get late, I didn't realise how long I was out walking the streets. I came back to the hotel and had to get ready to go and have dinner out. While I was away from the hotel my parents had bought my sister and I our new school uniform, bags, hats and some new supplies. We were starting school tomorrow and would be catching the bus there and back. I had a sense of hope that, that guy I saw would attend that school.

We came back from dinner and I was stuffed. The food was nice though, maybe better than the one in Australia. I went and got dressed for bed and fell asleep straight away.

I woke up earlier than I normally do, I guess I was just that excited. But deep down I was panicking, I have never experienced going to a new school, being the new girl. I got up and got ready into other clothes and went to breakfast with my family. It was a buffet, I got some pancakes, bacon and eggs, and nutella toast! It was all delicious! But it took me about It 20 minutes to eat my breakfast, I found it hard to eat, I was really nervous. My sister felt calm about it, I don't know how she does it. I had butterflies in my stomach. When we came back, I started to get ready for school. I went into the bathroom brushed my teeth and my hair, I had to make sure that I looked normal on my first day. I didn't want to look like a freak. I then went and put my new school uniform on and packed my new bag with my new and old supplies that I had managed to bring with me from Australia.

Surprise as I was my mum was going to be taking Lexi and I to and from school for our first day. We got in the car and we drove off to school. When we got there, my mum took us in and we met with one of the teachers that worked there. "Bye mum" We both said"Bye sweeties, have fun" my mum replied. Lexi and I got split up, we were in the same house but not in the same homeroom. The teacher showed me around the school a bit and showed me my new locker and lock. I had to unpack my bag and put everything in my locker. She waited for me and when I was done, she showed me to my new homeroom and introduced me in front of everyone. I almost went red in the face. I got assigned a buddy that was in all my classes, so she can help me around. "Hi I'm Zoe, what's your name!" She said cheerfully "I'm Mia" I said very shy. The bell rang for period 1 and I followed Zoe to class. First was English class, I sit down and listen to the teacher as normal.
