Chapter 17

Coming home was a mistake. Looking for my parents were a mistake. My curiosity over took me and I regret it. If I had stopped Peter from going down. If I just pretended I didn't even hear.

"No matter what you did this was always going to be the outcome Skyler." A voice was heard in the void that's my head.

"Who- how did you get in my head Strange?" he came into vision.

"Aren't you like a time wizard how is that possible?" I am so sick of people invading my mind.

"Your fathers are worried about you Wanda is projecting me into your mind-."

"Get out." I was pissed at this point even though this isn't the most convenient way of getting silence without worrying about someone coming and 'checking in' the same people who did it to me without a question want to come into my only face space at this point.

"Skyler we are trying to help you." He said calmly. Help, help everyones trying to help me no one asked if I even wanted it anymore.

"Like you tried to help when I was a child!" The scarlet hue began coming from around my body at this point I didn't care he invaded me.

"Skyler I understand you're upset."

"Oh you understand do you? Well why are you here? I want to see none of you yet alone in my mind! Now get out!" She began pushing him out her energy becoming a darker read. Strange tried fighting her but ultimately reentering the real world met with everyone looking at him.

"Her power has grown she pushed me out."

The room fell into a tense silence as everyone processed the revelation that Skyler's power had grown to the point where she could forcefully expel Doctor Strange from her mind. The Avengers, who had gathered in the room to discuss the current situation, exchanged concerned glances, unsure of how to proceed.

Wanda Maximoff, Skyler's mother, stepped forward, her expression a mix of worry and determination. "Skyler, please, we're here to help you. We understand that you're angry and frustrated, but pushing people away won't solve anything."

Skyler's eyes flickered with a mix of defiance and pain. "You don't understand, Mom. Nobody does. All my life, people have been telling me what to do, how to control my powers, and it's suffocating. I just wanted to be left alone."

Her father, Vision, approached her with a gentle, compassionate tone. "Skyler, we only want what's best for you. We know it's been challenging, but you're not alone in this. We've faced our own struggles and made mistakes, but we've learned from them. Let us guide you."

Skyler's shoulders slumped, the anger fading into a mixture of exhaustion and vulnerability. "I didn't ask for any of this. I didn't ask to be born with these powers, and I didn't ask for the weight that comes with it. Sometimes I just want to be a normal person."

Wanda reached out and embraced her daughter, holding her tightly. "I know, my love. But you are extraordinary, and that comes with its own set of challenges. We'll support you, guide you, and be there for you every step of the way. You don't have to face this alone."

Skyler leaned into her mother's embrace, finding comfort in her words. The anger and frustration began to dissipate, replaced by a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, there was a way forward.

The Avengers gathered around Skyler and her parents, offering their support and understanding. They had all faced their own personal struggles, battles, and moments of doubt, and they knew the importance of having a support system.

Captain America, with his reassuring presence, spoke up. "Skyler, we're a family here. We've faced incredible odds together, and we've come out stronger. We believe in you, and we'll stand by you no matter what. Together, we can find a way to harness your powers and use them for good."

The words resonated within Skyler's heart, and a sense of belonging began to replace the isolation she had felt. She looked around at the assembled Avengers, her family, and realized that she didn't have to face her journey alone. She had allies who understood and were willing to help her navigate the challenges ahead.

Taking a deep breath, Skyler nodded, her determination resurfacing. "Okay. I'll try. I'll let you help me."

Tony Stark, known as Iron Man, stepped forward with a faint smile. "That's the spirit, kid. We've got your back. We'll figure this out together."

As the Avengers began discussing their next steps, a newfound sense of unity filled the room. Skyler's journey was far from over, but with the support of her family and the Avengers, she felt a glimmer of hope that she could embrace her powers, find her own path, and make a difference in a world that needed her unique abilities.

And so, with determination in her eyes and a newfound sense of purpose, Skyler set forth on a journey of self-discovery, guided by the love and support of her family and the Avengers, ready to embrace her destiny and fulfill her true potential.
