It's been a year since Emma found out about her special power. She hasn't told anyone yet, not even her best friend Mackenzie Collins! But she knows how she will react, she'll bug her about it all the time. Yet it's coming to the point where she can't keep this up without someone finding out! She knew it was time to tell someone. She was going to do it today. But how?

It was a Monday morning, and she was wondering and pondering on how she was going to put it into words. How could she tell her friends that she had a time stopping power?

And just like,that she was at school. Waiting to tell her friends that she was basically a superhero. (But she wasn't or at least that what she thought back then) "Hey guys! How was your weekend? " Ashley said. Ashley was Emma's volleyball friend. "I didn't really do anything." Nathan said. Ashley had a crush on Nathan ever since she met him. Pretty much everyone knew except Nathan. "What about you Zack?" Ashley said. "I pretty much just spent time playing video games with Laurence" Laurence and Zack were best buds,and were basically brothers. They were inseparable, all most like Emma and Mackenzie. And that just made it harder for her to tell her friends.

"Well I basically slept the whole time." Ruby said. She was the relatable one in the group. "Ha! Me too! " Mackenzie said.

"Hey guys, um... I have something to tell you all." Emma started. She was holding her breath, and she wondered if her friends could hear her heart beating as loud as she could. But at that moment she finally opened her mouth to speak, it was like her brain went blank. "I.....um.... there's this new guy coming to the school today!" She didn't know exactly why she decided to change the subject but she wasn't lying. There was actually a new student coming to the school. The other day she was assigned to show him around the school.

"Oh really! Yes! It's about time we get another boy in this group!" Nathan said. "I totally agree!" said Zack. "Yeah... I'm assigned to show him around the place." Said Emma. "That's cool." Mackenzie said. "Oh yeah that reminds me, the kid is probably waiting for me, so I better get going and-" As Emma was backing away she bumped into someone behind her. When she turned around she saw a taller guy that seemed to be like 6 foot. And he looked like he was working out. Definitely the new student.

"Yeah... I don't think he's a 'kid'" Mackenzie whispered in Emma's ear

"Uh...I'm sorry Miss, but do you know an Emma Baker around here, and do you know where I can find her?" "Um... Actually this is Emma right here." Mackenzie said, pushing Emma towards him. "Uhh..... Yeah that's me!.. Hehe.." Ugh.... Why am I sooo awkward?! Emma thought. "By the way my name is Ethan." He said "Ahhh..... Ethan, that's a nice *cough* vampire *cough* name" Oh and Ruby also had an obsession with vampires.

"Don't mind her she's just weird sometimes." Said Laurence. Then Laurence received a slap on the back of his head from Ruby. "OWW! Why are woman so abusive!" Said Laurence. Everyone in the group rolled their eyes.

Ethan cleared his throat "Well...can I get the tour of the school now" "O-oh yeah" Emma said. "Let's go" And off they went. "Well that was awkward" Ashley said.

A few hours later it's launch, and Emma still hasn't told them. Her and the rest of the gang were sitting at their table when Ethan walked over. "Hey guys mind if I sit with you?" "Sure" All of them said. It was quiet for a while but finally Zack decided to break the ice. "So what dragged you here in Phoenix" "My dad actually got a job here" He said. "Oh that's cool." Ashley said.

"Have you ever wondered if there was a mouth big enough, it blow out the sun and we would all die in the lack of heat" Mackenzie said.

The whole table erupted in laughter at her randomness. By the time lunch had finished, the rest of the day went by fast.

And Emma never got to tell them about her time stopping power.
