Rahul (shocked): Baby..

Pooja: Yeah..

Rahul: No.. no doctor.. There.. there must be some misunderstanding. Tia.. My wife.. she was not.. I mean.. how.. I mean..

Viren: Relax.. Relax Mr Rahul. Calm down. You and your wife both have been brought here together only.

Pooja: And she was one and a half months pregnant.

Rahul was still in shock but he composed himself.

Rahul: Lek.. lekin doctor if there is something like this, she should have told me.. she knew how much I..

He trailed off. Rohit and Jaddu sat at either side of him rubbing his back and arm respectively to calm him. Rahul swallowed hard.

Pooja: May be she herself didn't know. It's just one and a half months you know.

Rahul just gave a slight nod. There was a heavy silence for a while.

Rahul: Is.. Is Tia fine?

Pooja: She is fine. B..

She was about to continue but Viren signed her to stop as Rahul's vitals were getting disturbed. The news has actually taken a toll on him.

Rohit: Rah.. bachcha calm down.

Jaddu: Rah.. Tia ke bare me socho. Please gather yourself

Rahul took a deep breath and blinked his tears back.

Rahul: Water..

Rohit made him have some water.

Pooja: Mr Rahul.. It will not be easy to handle this news for your wife.. it's not easy for any woman. You have to be gentle and take care while disclosing it. I would suggest it will be best if you yourself inform her. It will be easier for her to sink in the information rather than someone unknown.. stranger inform her.

Rahul again gave a slight nod.

Viren: Mr Rahul you please take some rest. You need it

Rahul: I.. I want to meet Tia..

Pooja: She has been given anesthesia. She won't be waking up before morning

Rahul: Still.. I.. I want to be with her please..

The doctors understanding his emotions allowed him to stay with Athiya. They shifted him to her ward.

He sat beside her on her bed and caressed her hair. He instinctively was about to keep his hand on her belly but stopped in mid way. He took his hand back with a jerk again swallowing hard.

Rohit: I wish Vi yaha hota. He needs him the most right now.

Rahul (in mind): No.. no I.. I can't fall weak. Tia.. Tia needs me. I.. I can't fall weak. I can't fall weak.

He kept saying this to himself until he slept while being there in sitting position beside her.

Jaddu and Shrey made him lay down on the bed properly.

On the next day, Athiya got consciousness and she opened her eyes slowly. It took her few moments in realising she was in the hospital. She remembered the accident and she was about to shout out of panick but her gaze fell on Rahul and she calmed down. He was having bandages wrapped around his forehead and hand here and there. But before she could say anything, she felt pain in her leg. She tried to shift slightly but felt pain in her stomach and winced.

It brought Rahul's attention. He quickly sat beside Athiya though limping and held her carefully and protectively. Athiya snuggled more towards him.

Rahul: You okay Tia?

Athiya shook her head in no.

Athiya: It's paining a lot

She said it while holding her stomach. Rahul forwarded his hand to put it over her stomach but his hand was shivering. He was not having courage. Athiya saw his shivering hand and she sat straighter. She hold his hand.

Athiya: Kya hua? Thand lag rahi hai?

Rahul shook his head in no. He held her closer and kissed on her forehead. Athiya sensed his unease.

Athiya: Kuchh hua hai kya Rah?

Rahul: Tia..

Athiya: Hmm..

Rahul (cracked voice): I am.. I.. I am sorry..

Athiya rubbed his back.

Athiya: No Rah.. Isme tumhari koi galati nahi hai baba. Galati uss truck wale ki thi

Tears fell from Rahul's eyes but he quickly wiped them. He composed himself.

Rahul: Take rest Tia. You need it okay.

Athiya: Rah...

Rahul: Hmm..

Athiya: Kya hua hai?

Rahul: Tia..

Athiya hold his hand in her and looked at him.

Athiya: Kya hua hai? Tumhare face se pata chal raha hai ki kuchh hua hai?

Pooja came there. Rahul helped Athiya in sitting properly on the bed.

Pooja asked Rahul with her eyebrows whether or not he shared the news to which he shook his head in no. But their silent conversation was noticed by Athiya.

Pooja checked Athiya.

Pooja: You are doing good Mrs Rahul. But you need proper rest and care for few days okay. No weight training for few days. Just rest.

Athiya: Kya hua hai doctor? I have noticed your and my husband's silent conversation.

Rahul Instinctively held her closer in the side hug making Athiya more tensed. She has never seen Rahul this much scared and at unease.

Pooja sighed

Pooja: Look Mrs Rahul.. I know the news will be heart breaking for you but .. we had to do that to save you.

Athiya: What.. what was that?

Pooja: Mrs Rahul we had to abort the baby... The situation was way too much critical. There was anyways no chance for the survival of the baby.

Athiya was shocked to the core. She hold Rahul's hand tightly.

Athiya (shocked): Ba.. baby...

Pooja: Yes Mrs Rahul..

Athiya: I.. I had a baby??

Pooja: Yes Mrs Rahul. You were one and a half months pregnant. But this unfortunate incident happened. But rest assured, you are fine and there will be no issues for conceiving again because of this okay.

Pooja kept her hand on her shoulder.

Pooja: Please take care of yourself

She went from there leaving the broken couple behind.

Virat was shocked to the core hearing this. He held Rahul tightly. He looked at Anu who was holding a broken Athiya. They both knew how much sensitive these two are when it comes to kids. This incident must have haunted them for a long time. They could see the effect still there on them.

Virat: Rah..

They broke the hug. Rahul wiped his tears. Virat made him have some water. He was rubbing his back.

Rahul: It was not easy Bhaiya... To forget and forgive ourselves.. to move on.. How bhaiya.. how can we ourselves did that? How.. how could I bhaiya? I.. I was the one who was driving..

Virat (sternly): Rah.. bas.. no more blaming yourselves.. both of you

Anu: Exactly.. and it was an accident Rah.. it was not your fault.. neither yours nor Tia's

Virat: Haan Rah..

Rahul: We took professional help individually and as a couple to get over this lekin hamesha.. woh sab haunt to karta hi Raha.. though we were able to move on.. lekin woh yaadein..

Virat was rubbing his back continuously.

Rahul: Aapko janna tha na kyu mujhe ussi din khada hona tha.. That was the day bhaiya.. the day when we lost our precious possession.. the one we didn't even know we had..

Athiya: But now we have Atharva. He is our biggest strength. Uske aane ke baad jaise sab kuchh sahi ho gaya.

Rahul: Haan bhaiya.. We both can do anything for him.

Virat: We know bachcha.. we know

He said while taking him in a hug again. Rahul hold his T-shirt tightly. Virat signed Anu to take Athiya from there. She nodded and took her making an excuse.

Virat: Kya baat hai Rah?

Rahul: Bhaiya..

Virat: Hmm..

Rahul: Bahut gande khayal aa rahe hai dimag me aur main...I am not able to shrug them off

Virat: Kya aa raha hai dimag me?

Rahul: Yahi ki agar woh sab nahi hua hota.. accident nahi hua hota to Atharva shayad aur chhota hota aur shayad usko..

Virat: Usko head injury nahi hoti aur na clot..

Virat completed and Rahul just snuggled more.

Virat: I understand this thought Rah.. I am a father too. We are considered as the biggest superhero of our children aur hamari koi action ke wajah se hi kuchh aisa ho to..

Virat took a pause.

Virat: But we should understand that we cannot control everything na. Aur jiske bare me pata bhi nahi tha uske hone se kya hota yeh soch ke jo hai usko to nazarandaz nahi kar sakte na.

Rahul looked at him.

Virat: I am talking about Tia Rah. She needs you now. Itne time se akele handle kar rahi hai woh. It's high time you give her HER RAH. It's not time to dwell into past and guilt. It's time to give her HER DESERVED HAPPINESS.

Rahul hummed in response. Virat found him looking very much drained and exhausted. He made him sleep and then asked Athiya to be by his side. She stayed with him throughout the evening and at night too sha fed him with her hands and made him have his medicines. She then went to change in the washroom. When she came out, she found Rahul was lost in his thoughts.
She went to him and sat beside him on the bed.

Athiya: Kya baat hai Rah? Kitne dino se dekh rahi hoon pareshan ho. Ek ke baad ek koi na koi baat pareshan kar rahi hai tumhe

Rahul just shook his head in no and layed down on the bed. Athiya cupped his face and made him look at her. She caressed his cheek with her thumb.

Athiya: Kya baat hai?

Rahul held her hand though he was first hesitant again but then he did hold her hand. Athiya noticed it again and this time she voiced out her confusion on why he has started getting hesitant in touching her sometimes.

Athiya: Okay first thing first. What's going on with you? Why do you get hesitant jab bhi aise hath pakadna hota hai ya kuchh bhi Aisa hota hai to?

Rahul looked at her for a while and then looked down.

Rahul (in low voice): It's not you. It's me and my stupid brain. It is playing games with me

Athiya caressed his hair and then hold his hand

Athiya: What games?

Rahul: Woh.. tum.. dur dur rehti thi.. main hath.. hath pakadta tha to chali jati thi. Not with the intention of leaving me.. mera hi koi kam hota tha..

He added last line quickly finding her frowning on whatever he was saying.

Rahul: To.. to.. kabhi kabhi..

Athiya: Kabhi kabhi kya?

Rahul: Kabhi kabhi aisa khayal aa jata tha dimag me ki shayad..

Athiya: Shayad..

Rahul: Shayad tum uncomfortable ho..

Athiya cut him.

Athiya: What??

Rahul looked down.

Rahul: Sorry.. I know mujhe aisa nahi feel karna chahiye lekin.. lekin main.. mujhe..

Athiya cupped his face and kissed on his forehead making him shut his mouth feeling her love for him. Rahul sighed and hugged her tightly hiding his face in the hug. She was caressing his hair though tears collected in her eyes.

Athiya: I am sorry Rah. You felt like that. Lekin sach aisa kuchh nahi hai. I was just so overwhelmed and itne saalo se itna kuchh ho gaya tha na to pata nahi kaise mujhe bas tumhara khayal rakhne ki adat si ho gayi thi. Tumhari taraf se uss care ke reciprocation ki umeed to pata nahi kab se rakhna chhod diya tha lekin it was nowhere like mujhe uncomfortable lag raha tumhare sath.. I was just worried Rah. Just wanted you to be fine. Kabhi aisa intention nahi tha ki tumse door jau. Main tumhare face pe thakan dekh sakti thi Rah. Bas iss liye tumhari tabiyat aur na bigde uspe focus kar rahi thi. Recovery bhi kafi lambi process hai na itni bade hadse ke baad.. to bas.. I am sorry Rah..

Rahul hugged her tighter.

Rahul: I know Tia.. I know.. It's just that.. my stupid brain was..

Athiya cut him gently.

Athiya: I understand Rah. Itne time ke baad.. sab ko itna age badhe hue dekhne ke baad.. hamare itne saalo ke loss ke baad.. you must be feeling inferior and it is natural. And tumhare dimag me aise betuke khayal bhi issi inferiority ki wajah se aa rahe hai. Just have faith okay. I am with you always

Rahul: Thanks Tia.. thanks a lot

Athiya again planted a soft kiss on his hair and made him sleep. She could see how much relaxed he was looking now. May be the loss of the lost time has affected him a lot than they have thought. She too slept in a while holding him protectively.

The next day was a lot lighter for everyone as Rahul was recovering and Atharva too was looking fresher.  Harry and Agu have come to talking terms now. Harry was chatting to someone on the phone and his mind was fully occupied there totally unaware of the glances his elder brothers were giving him and totally avoiding Rahul's countless tries to make him realise what will gonna happen once he will look up from the phone.

Rohit: Rah..

Rahul: Ji B-Ro

Ash: Kon hai phone pe?

Rahul: Ash.. how would I know?

He said while looking here and there. All looked at Virat.

Virat: Rah..

Rahul looked at him with his innocent puppy eyes.

Rahul: Vi Bhai no na please...

Virat looked at others with his puppy face.

Virat: He is saying please..

All facepalmed themselves and the juniors burst into laugh seeing their fathers like that. But before the banter continues, Batras came there. All welcomed them.

Col Batra: Dekhiye waise to hum bas security ka intezam dekhne aaye the..

Mrs Batra: Lekin ab aaye hai to Rohit ji apse aur Ritika ji se ek baat karni thi

All looked at SamJun who were looking at everything being all clueless. The seniors settled down properly.

Rohit: Aap please mujhe aur Ritz ko naam se bulaiye.. Yeh ji ji hume nahi jamta

All chuckled

Sana: Haan. ji sun ke na Papa woh lagte hai

Mrs Batra: Beta kya?

AK: Budhdhe.. she means Ji sunke Ro chachu Budhdhe lagte hai

Rohit: Exactly.. and abhi to main jawaan na sahi lekin budhdha bhi  nahi hoon..

All chuckled.

Mrs Batra: Theek hai. Actually.. dekho mujhe ghuma phira ke baat karna nahi aata. Baat darasal yeh hai ki hum log Bangalore wapas ja rahe hai

All looked at Virushka with shocked expression and Rahul hold Virat's hand tightly and Atharva hugged AK tightly. Angad looked at Amy with longing. Sammy looked at Arjun with mujhe bataya bhi nahi expression. Sana looked at AK with how the hell did you plan to go back without telling me expression which made him gulp down.

Mrs Batra: Are relax. Yeh log nahi aa rahe. Main aur Col Batra hum dono ja rahe hai

All sighed in relief.

Rohit: Oh.. mujhe laga Vi..

He trailed off rubbing his palms.

Mrs Batra: Nahi nahi. To jaisa ki maine kaha hum log nikal rahe hai to socha aap logo se ek zaroori baat kar le.

Ritz: Ji kahiye..

Col Batra: Waise to hume aapke ghar aana chahiye baat karne lekin ab .. aap sab logo ke sath aisa apnapan mehsoos hota hai ki sab ke samne hi baat kar rahe hai.. Hum hamare bete Arjun ke liye Apki beti Samaira ka hath mangna chahte hai.. Rishte ka prastav leke aaye hai.

All were happily surprised whereas SamJun blushed hard.

Rohit: Ji.. Rishta..

Mrs Batra: Dekhiye.. abhi dono bachche to ek dusare ko pasand kar hi chuke hai. Hume bhi Sammy bahut pasand hai. Bhai main to meri dusari beti ko abhi ke abhi le jau mere ghar mera bas chale to. Lekin hamari bhi beti hai.. ek beti ke Mata Pita ke Jazbaat samajte hai hum. Iss liye aap soch lijiye shanti se. Agar Arjun sahi lage apko apni bachchi ke liye to kabhi bhi aap Bangalore aa sakte hai. Waha aake hamara ghar baar dekh lijiye.. Aur yaha ka bhi dekh lena. Woh Virat Anu.. tum dono ki zimmedari yaha ka ghar dikhane ki.

Virushka nodded in yes happily.

Col Batra: Dekhiye man me koi bhi sandeh mat rakhiyega. We just want happiness of kids bas. Agar aapko time chahiye to woh bhi le lijiye no issues.

Mrs Batra: Achchha.. ab hum nikalte hai.

Athiya: Are lekin aapne kuchh liya hi nahi

Col Batra: Abhi nahi lekin baad me zaroor ayenge. Tab khatirdari karwayenge aapse. And Rahul.. tab tak I want you to be all fit and fine

Rahul smiled and nodded in yes.

Col Batra: Hum nikalte hai. Abhi flight hai.

Arjun, Amy, Virushka, Vami and AK went to see them off. The kids took Sammy to a room and they were all teasing her. Rohit went to his room. The boys followed him. Virat too came to Rohit's room only to find him pacing here and there in tension

Virat: Ro.. kya hua?

Rohit: Vi.. can't you see? Sammy ke liye rishta aaya hai. Meri Sammy.. she is too young abhi..

Jinks: She is 29 years old Ro

Rohit: Haan sirf 29 years ki hi to hai meri bachchi..

Mahi: Ro.. calm down baba.

Rohit: Kaise calm down Bhai..

Virat: Ro.. it's Arjun.. and he and Sammy love each other

Rohit: I know.

Virat: Do you like Arjun?

Rohit: Of course I like him. He is a nice guy

Virat: Then what's the problem Ro?

Rohit: Are Sammy ke liye rishta aaya hai. RISHTA..

Virat: Ro.. shaadi se pehle rishta hi jodenge na.. like Roka, engagement etc..

Rohit: Lekin meri bachchi kitni chhoti hai

Virat couldn't help but chuckled

Rohit: Tu na rehne de Vi.. Tu nahi samjega.. Mahi Bhai apke Cheeku ko bolo chup reh.. Isko kya pata jab beti ke liye rishta aata to beti ke baap pe kya bitti.. Jab Vami ke liye rishta aaye na tab bolna.. Main bhi dekhta hoon kaise shant rehta hai tu.. huh..

Mahi took Rohit in a hug to calm him.. Rest all too were calming him. But Virat's smile has vanished. He went from there. Jinks has seen the changes in his expressions. He too followed him. They both came to terrace.

On the other side, Vami was in garden only after seeing off the Batra couple. Arya came there and stood beside her.

Arya: Agar sab sahi hota to ab tak to hamara sakharpuda bhi ho gaya hota Vami. Aai is too keen to get me married.

Vami: I am sorry Arya..

Arya: Vami Maine iss liye nahi bola tha

Vami sighed.

Vami: No Arya.. I genuinely am sorry.

Vami took some deep breaths. Arya hold her hand and rubbed her palms.

Arya: You okay?

Vami nodded in yes.

Parallel Scenes

Jinks was with Virat at the terrace. He went to him and put his hand on his shoulder. Virat looked at other side and wiped his tears. Radhika and Anu have come there seeing their husbands coming there

Jinks: I know you are crying. But I didn't know you can't confide in me

Virat just turned and hugged him tightly. Tears fell from Anu's eyes seeing him this much broken. Radhika was rubbing her back

Jinks: What is it Vi?

Virat: Ro.. usko lagta hai ki main nahi samjunga.. Vami ke liye rishta ayega tab samjunga lekin.. lekin usko kaise samjau ki Vami ke liye kabhi rishta aa hi nahi sakta..

Jinks broke the hug and looked at him with shocked expression. He and Radhika are on their toes for the alliance of Arya and Vami and here this man was telling a complete otherwise

Radhika: Yeh galat hai Vi..

Virat and Jinks looked at Anu and Radhika.

Radhika: Yaha hum log Vami aur Arya ke rishte ke liye mare ja rahe hai aur tum ho ki Aisa bol rahe ho..

Virat: Radhika..

Jinks: She is right Vi

Anu: Lekin aisa nahi ho sakta Radhu.. Agar aisa ho sakta to kya hum logo ko khushi nahi hoti.. hume kya achchha lagta hoga hamari bachchi ko khud apne hatho se apne pyaar ka gala ghotate hue dekhana..

Radhika: Lekin tum log batao to akhir problem kya hai..

Jinks: Exactly Vi.. har problem ka solution hota hai Vi.. Hum iska solution bhi dhundh lenge

Virushka looked at each other.

Anu: I guess we should tell them

Virat nodded in yes

Virat: But promise us ki tum log kisi ko nahi bataoge. Please..

Jinks and Radhika nodded in yes and promised them. Virat sighed but then started narrating everything.

Vami again took a deep breath.

Vami: Ek saal pehle ki baat hai..

Flashback

Vami was giving training to the cadets in the academy with AK, Arjun and Amy. Col Batra came there. His expressions were serious enough for the Agents to understand the matter was beyond serious.

Col Batra: Cadets.. dismissed right now. Go to your dorms straight away.

The cadets dispersed.

Col Batra: Agents..

Vami: Sir we are ready for whatever mission it is

Col Batra gave her a small smile

Col Batra: I know. Lekin yeh itna asaan nahi hai. Khabar mili hai ki Bangalore me serial bomb blasts plan kiye gaye hai. And we have to stop it. Lekin uske liye tum logo ko undercover hoke Jana hoga.

Arjun: Hamari team?

Col Batra: Local police will help you

AK: Organisation?

Col Batra: PRF

AK and Vami made fists.

Col Batra: I want both Kohlis to think from your mind and not got involved too emotionally

AK and Vami composed themselves.

Amy: Nikalna kab hai?

Col Batra: Kal.. tum logo ko sab technical support yaha se mil jayega.  Center me main khud Nazar rakh Raha hoon. Agni (Vami).. You will handle East.. Akrosh (AK).. West.. Peace (Amy).. You will handle South and Aqua (Arjun)..

Arjun: North.. Got it sir..

Col Batra nodded in yes. He forwarded a file to each of them.

Col Batra: These are the details of your team and..

He forwarded another file to them

Col Batra: These are the criminals you guys will be looking for. Jo Jo tumhare area me dikhe gaye hai unke sketches and sari details jo hamare paas hai woh sab inn files me hai. Any doubt??

Agents: No sir..

Col Batra: I want you all to go and start preparing for the action

Agents: Sir..

Col Batra: Dismissed

Agents saluted him and left from there. They were preparing their plans based on the Map of the area they were covering. They have even discussed their plans with each other so that if needed, they can get extra help ASAP.

Arjun: Okay.. let's go and have some sleep now..

Vami: Wait.. Let's check the file of criminals

AK: Woh to sab ne dekh li na..

Vami: Apni dekhi hai.. Dusaro ke area ke criminals ki nahi. Maan lo agar tumhare area ka criminal mere area me dikha to?

Well she had a point so rest all agreed and they stretched the meeting and studied the details of all criminals. Once they were satisfied with their preparation, they called for the day and went to their respective dorms.

On the next day, When the Agents were going towards their respective areas, Vami got a call from home. She picked it up.

Anu: Vami beta.. jana zaroori hai kya?

Vami: Mumma.. Serial bomb blasts ka mamla hai

Virat: Lekin Vami.. we both are not having nice feeling. Can't anyone else handle this?

Vami: Papa not you now. I am a soldier Papa. Agar tirange me lipatke aayi na to bhi mere liye garv ki baat hogi

Anu: Kuchh nahi hoga tumhe suna tumne. Dushmano ko dhul chata degi meri bachchi.

Vami: Of course Mumma. Yeh bhi koi kehne ki baat hai. Dekhna iss baar to Major se Lieutenant Colonel banke rahungi

Virat: All the best Vami..

Vami: Thank you Papa

Anu: All the best Bachcha..

Vami: Thanks Mumma..

Virushka: Love you Vami

Vami: I love you both

She disconnected the call. Tears were falling from Virushka's eyes. They were feeling restless for the time after Vami has joined the force. She has come injured after missions but this time, it was getting difficult for them.

Vami and other agents reached at their respective areas and met their team. They instructed them clearly with all the details. They even shared sketches of all the criminals. The agents and their team has blend in the crowd and were finding the criminals.

Arjun spotted one criminal in his area but he must be in West zone.

Arjun: Agni.. Akrosh.. Peace.. Agni was right. Yeh log ek dusare ke areas me hai. I saw the criminal who should have been in the West zone.

Vami: Let's catch them and start interrogating them. Hume ho sake itne bombs defuse karne hai

Amy: Bomb squad team be on stand by

She instructed and then the agents and their team started catching culprits one by one. The mission was going in full swing. They started interrogating them mercilessly. The rage in their eyes was enough to send a clear message that they were not there for any negotiation. They will kill them and their loved ones.

Vami brought a lady there who was wife of a criminal.

Vami: Ab yeh chahiye ya sach bolega tu?

Criminal didn't say anything

Vami: Akrosh.. shoot..

AK unlocked his revolver but before he could aim, the criminal started saying everything.

They came to know about the spots where the bombs were planted. The bomb squad and agents started tracing down the spots and they were defusing the bombs.

Vami was doing last minute check in her area when her gaze fell on a scooter which was parked in the No Parking area with a briefcase there. She felt suspecious and asked Bomb squad to check.

Bomb squad member: You were right ma'am. It has bomb.

They started working on defusing the bomb while Vami was analysing the area and people present there. Suddenly they heard a gun shot sound and it was towards the Bomb squad team but luckily the target was missed. Vami and other officers ran to the direction from where the bullet was fired.

The man was running in high speed when Vami and her team was attacked by some men. They fought and tackled down them but the culprit was still ahead. Vami ran after him. She took a short cut and reached to him. The other agents have reached to her area and were now searching for her after being informed in which direction she and the team went.

Vami and the culprit were having a very tight fight when Vami was having a upper hand. But the culprit threw dust in her eyes making her stumbled and rubbed her eyes. She was hit by the man in her stomach and leg. But when he was about to punch her again, she held his hand and twisted it.

Vami: Agni se panga nahi lena chahiye tha tujhe.

She took him too in the custody when the other agents reached. Arjun and AK took him and handed over them to team whereas Amy started working on the paper work. Vami was about to go towards them when a gun shot sound heard. It was the man who was tackled. He was able to snatch a gun from a team member and fired at Vami. Saying so she just went from there leaving Arya standing there shocked.
