I wave good by to my new friends. Lexi walks over to me. Dustin backs away and so does Austin.

"I'm sorry about your dad. He was a good man." Lexi says and I look confused for a second.

"Andy he saved everyone's lives. He saved many peoples lives. My dad was there when he died. He said he had never seen a man so brave. Your really lucky to be his son." Lexi tells me and I nod

"Yeah. Zoe and I are really proud to be his kids" I say looking at the ground. Tears start forming in my eyes.

"Look I gotta go." I say and run back home.

I get home and lay my head on the table. Sue stops her homework and gives me a hug.

"We all miss him Andy. BELIVE me. Mom and I miss him a lot also. But it will get better. Do you remember when Uncle Lenny died? The pain got easier." Zoe tells me and I nod.

I go up to my room and read a book.

** Okay I know this is short but I am so nervous. Why? Well I entered this in the Wattys2018 and the long list comes out tomorrow. I probably will not update tomorrow unless this makes it cause I will be heart broken. Welp that's all.
