Mine (Ch27)

"I wonder what my dad is doing," Atreus said after being awake for almost two hours and Hilda looked at him confused as to why he woke up so early.

"Can we go back to sleep? Please?" Hilda asked as she heard a screech from Níðhögg.

"Hilda?" Atreus asked as she quickly got out of bed and opened the window to see her face to face with the giant beast that guarded the roots of the tree.

"You okay girl?" Hilda asked as The beast jumped up ready to play.
"My spell... Atreus your father used my last spell I had," Hilda informed seeing her unharmed and not covered in blood.

"What does that mean?" Atreus asked getting out of bed.

"It means your father is fine for now. She didn't hurt him and he didn't hurt her in anyway it looks like," she answered making him relax a bit.

"Can I pet her?" Atreus asked.

"She isn't my pet, we trust each other. I do what ever she let's me nothing more, you can try but I don't think she will," Hilda informed.

"Worth a shot, hey girl how are-" Atreus said as she took him by his sleeve and and threw him out the window out into the yard.

"Okay, you don't like me. It's fine I get the message," he said as Hilda climbed out the window and went to him.

"Oh my gosh Atreus, I am so sorry I didn't think she would do that!" Hda said as Atreus was trying to catch his breath.

"It's fine, you warned me. Can I ask you something?" He asked.

"Sure, anything," she said as he smiled at her.

"What is brown and sticky?' He asked as she looked at him confused.

"What?" Hilda asked confused.

"A stick," he laughed as Hilda hit him in the balls.

"I thought you were really hurt bad! You are such an idiot!" Hilda said as he rolled to his side in pain.

"Well now I am in a lot of pain, if that makes you feel better," he said as she turned him over.

"Well, I'm not kissing it to make it feel better either. Come on and get up," she said as she helped him up.

Atreus looked over and saw Hilda's friend has gone somewhere else leaving them alone.

"So what do you want to do since this day started off strange?" Atreus asked as she smiled.

"First I want to do this," she said as she kissed him making him smile.

"I like this idea so far, after this?" He asked as she kissed him again.

"Breakfast sound good to you?" She asked.

"I think I'm having it right now," he said with a smirk making her pull away.

"You are way to proud of yourself Atreus," she smiled as he blushed a bit.

"Well I got a beautiful girlfriend and we are being sneaky. I think I like being sneaky," Atreus said with a cheeky grin.

"Your father will find out eventually you know hopefully when he's ready to except it," Hilda sighed.

"Well if he doesn't who cares?" Atreus asked.

"I care, I am tired of this bad blood going on from you two not talking to each other and from being honest with eachother. What if we have a child? I know Sindri will be happy but I want your father to be a part of our lives to," she informed.

"Kids are a long way away," Atreus informed.

"Accidents happen Atreus; I'm just being selfish about it I guess. Your father isn't trying to kill you or trying to manipulate him into doing his dirty work. I'm sure he will do that if I meet him," she muttered.

"Him manipulate you that's a good one, you are the most stubborn person I know," Atreus informed.

"Not if he gets you or someone else then I won't be," she informed.

"Hilda, nothing is going to happen we are being careful," Atreus informed as he grabbed her hands and she looked to the house and saw a pair of glowing yellow eyes staring at them.

"Atreus I want you to promise something to me," Hilda said as Atreus looked at her confused.

"Okay," he said.

"If something happens to me I want you to make sure you know it's not your fault okay. Tell yourself it isn't your fault no matter what okay. Don't blame your father don't blame anyone besides the person who killed me. I don't want you to have any hatred to anyone besides that person. If someone tries to save me but can't it's okay it won't be there fault," Hilda informed as he looked at her worried.

"Why are you telling me this? Did something happen?" Atreus asked.

"No, I just... just incase I'm left with a choice that makes me have to chose between my life and someone else's. I know how upset you were, you almost turned into a bear when I got sick. I felt it and you told me you did. You can't control your powers that well yet. I don't want you to so something by accident and hurt someone. Just promise me if I get murdered that you will blame the person that killed me and no one else," Hilda said as he nodded.

"Promise," he said as she smiled.

"How about that breakfast now?" she asked making him smile.

"Only if I can help," Atreus informed as she hmmed.

"I guess you can, but you better do as your told," she said as she kissed him.

"Or what?" He asked she raised an eyebrow.

"Really? Okay how about I won't kiss you for a week," she said as he looked at her shocked.

"But I love it though," he said as she smiled.

"Oh I know," she smiled.

"I don't think you can resist me for that long," he said with confidence.

"Want to bet on that?" She asked as she pulled away.

"No! No, no, I don't," he said as he kissed her again and held her hand and went into the house.

"So what are we making?" Atreus asked.

"Soup, deer meat, spider, and what ever else we have left," she explained.

"Okay, so um I don't know if you remember this but you said you have an Olive tree?" Atreus said as she looked at him oddly.

"What the hell is an olive? Are you making words up now?" She asked with a smile.

"No, you said you had a weird plant that you didn't know the name of. It was when we were in Alfheim," Atreus said as she thought for a second.

"I do have a weird tree I found, you think that's what it is?" Hilda asked.

"I don't know you were traveling between people and there dreams. I have never seen one so I couldn't tell you," he said as he went to her garden and and looked at the weird looking tree.

"Yeah I have never seen anything like it, I mean this things are olives?" She asked picking off an olive.

"No idea. Well my father knows things about Olives. You can maybe ask him bout them when he gets back," he informed.

"Atreus that is going to be the last thing on his mind. He will want answers; where you have been, what you were doing, stuff like that," Hilda informed.

"You know I can't tell him, I talked to you about it before hand," he informed.

"Why can't tell your father that you made a promise. Sindri understood," she informed.

"Sindi trusts you my father doesn't, he doesn't trust me even being alone with you is to much. I need to be focused but you help me focus, you help me with a lot of stuff. Like right now, you just listening helps so much," he sighed.

"You what I would say though right?" Hilda asked.

"What?" Atreus asked.

"I see both sides; I have to much life experience for being as young as I am," Hilda informed.

"Yet you take my side more," Atreus informed.

"I never said I did! Just because I'm in love with you doesn't mean you are always right. You know I'm wrong to sometimes its not just you, all I'm here for is to basically help you when ever you need it and try to keep you safe from Odin," she explained.

"Remember when I told you I thought about joining Odin to spy?" Atreus asked.

"Yeah, that could easily get you killed," she informed.

"If he wanted me dead he had plenty of chances to kill me. I really think he needs me, if I let him use me, make him think I trust him then maybe I can get answers," Atreus said.

"Atreus, I love you more than my own fucking life. You doing that is risky, I don't want to lose you as my friend or my boyfriend. Please just wait until your father gets home and wait until he says what he wants. If you think that is the last possible choice you have left in your life then do it. You already know what he did to my mother, I don't want Kratos to find you in pieces. I don't want to find you in pieces," she explained.

"Okay, see if you weren't here I may have just done what ever," Atreus said with a smile.

"Yeah right, stop looking at me like that," Hilda said as he smiled bigger.

"This bothers you?" He asked as he tried hard not to smile.

"No but your eyes though, are you looking at my chest?" She asked as he looked at her oddly.

"No I can't see your cest with all your armor on. But if this bothers you I can do a different face that will probably make you more uncomfortable," he said as she turned around to put the olive down.

"Really wha-" Hilda paused as she started laughing at him uncontrollably.

"Ah! Stop it my gosh you like you're about to seduce me badly," she laughed.

"I'm the king of seducing women, I seduced you didn't I?" He smiled as she couldn't control herself any longer.

Her laughter went silent as she fell to her knees and her face turned bright red. She could barely breath as making him turn a little red from embarrassment.

"That bad huh?" Atreus asked.

"You did but without doing it good. You gave me a flower and I knew what you were doing the first time you did it but... I couldn't let myself think that you were actually trying to do anything but be nice. I wasn't ready and the moment I was when we made that bowl together. I was actually afraid honestly. My family died and I didn't want you to be next or your father. Being with out parents is hard, also with everything I and still haven't told you about because it's hard for me to," she explained as he sat down next to her.

"You still don't have to tell me, only when you are ready," he said as he put her hand in his.

"I know but I don't want you to find out because some stranger tells you," she explained.

"Everyone is allowed to have secrets, you never pushed me into telling you any of them, even my fears," he explained.

"I want you to feel safe with me that's why. I didn't have a safe space for almost a two years. It took me forever to trust the dwarfs with me just being in the same room with them. Especially after what those cannibals did to me, or those stupid guys I would run into from time to time," she said softly.

"Hey, Hilda you don't have to explain anything to me. I know your life hadn't been easy especially with men, it was actually surprising to me that you liked me. I just thought it was my body just telling me that i did because you are one of the few girls I have ever seen but you do a lot for me. More then you know," he said as he kissed her softly on the cheek.

"You do a lot for me to, Atreus. Breakfast before you end up on top of me?" She asked.

"I think we made a pact last night about no sex until we have been together for a year," she informed.

"Well your eyes are telling me that you want to know what my chest looks like," she said as he looked at her oddly.

"No, I was thinking what we were having for breakfast, obviously you're the one that's horny," he said helping her up.

"No I think it's you," she smiled.

"Well clearly it's one of us, none of us, or neither," Atreus informed.
"Fine its both of us and yet neither of us," she said as she gathered some vegetables.

"I don't think that's how it works," Atreus said she smiled.

"Could be if you don't think about it," Hilda said as they went to the kitchen.

They started making breakfast and Atreus started to think about his life with her. What if they got married or started a family? But what she said still hit Atreus hard, he needed to tell Hilda but she wasn't a monster to him. She was perfectly imperfect and him. He didn't care if she killed people, Atreus did when he was younger. When Hilda was ready to tell him what happened to her then Atreus was going to be there for her.

"Hilda?" Atreus asked as she was cutting some spider meat up.

"Yes," she said as she turned around and pulled her close to him.

"You are being awful sweet to me," she giggled making him smile.

"Only because I love you; I know that sometimes you feel like a monster about what you did when you were younger but I made mistakes to that make me feel that way. I'm sure we all have and whoever says they haven't well they are lying or made peace with it. No matter what you did you are not a monster. I know you killed those cannibals in a lot of bad ways but then did worse. They hurt you to, one day you will make peace with it and make sure you don't make that mistake again. But no matter what I will always love you even if you don't want me around or we live for thousands of years and get tired of being around each other. Deep down I know I will love you," he explained making her smile.

"Thank you Atreus, that means alot," Hilda informed.

"Well I think I want to marry you and I know that means loving you at your worst or your best," Atreus smiled as Hilda's smile disappeared.

"Atreus we have been only dating for a week and a couple of days. That's a but fast," Hilda informed.

"I mean later, ten-twenty years from now," Atreus informed

"Because you were talking about it in Alfheim. I didn't mean to scare you," he informed as she smiled a bit.

"Marrage is a forever commitment, especially since we are God's Atreus," Hilda informed with a smile.

"Yeah but that still doesn't mean we can't think about it right?" Atreus asked.

"I guess not but if you keep being sweet on me I will have no choice but to take your virginity away I hope you know that," Hilda said as she kissed him.

"Is that a threat or a promise?" Atreus asked smiling.

"Both," she answered making him pull away and smirk.

"I like that alot, I cant belive you're mine," he smiled as he kissed her again.

He didn't care how long they were together before they were married all he knew was that she loved him and he loved her.
