Katerina  Rietveld always loves running barefoot in the fields. Her mother would smile at her little girl. Kaz would chase her no stop and Jordie would pick her up and swing her around. 

She would bring home flowers and tell her mother and her brothers how she found them. She would be found in the fields with Kaz or with her mother or swimming with Jordie and her father. 

 the happiness was gone in the blink of an eye, her mother dead and next her father gone. Taken for her without any thought. 

Katerina didn't believe in saints anymore after this. Jordie sold the land and told his little brother and sister everything would be ok. It wouldn't. 

The Rietveld siblings fall in with the man who made Katerina's blood. He killed her brothers and her that day. She was reborn into someone that nobody would mess with. 

The man who killed her only source of safety was Jordie, well Kaz protected her no matter what.

A sickness fell on Ketterdam, and the Rietveld siblings were hit hard by this. 

All Katerina remembers is being buried under dead bodies, touching the skin made her sick, she closed her eyes and was pulled away for all of it. She didn't know if Kaz or Jordie were alive or worse. 

Katerina soon pulled into the tide, she clung to the dead body desperate not wanting to be to leave Ketterdam or her brothers. 

She closed her eyes and was pulled away for Ketterdam. By the time she would come back, she would be a different person, not the calm, sweet kind person but someone who was out for blood. 

Everyone would fear her

Author note: me trying to get upset writing about Jordie and how he died. I do want to mention that  Katerina has very bad aquaphobia and haphephobia as well, she doesn't have a limp like Kaz. Also, Kaz and Katerina are twins.
