Chapter four
I jumped, almost falling off my bed. I then blinked many times, my alarm ringing each second. I stayed still and awake on my bed, not wanting to move. That felt real, too real.
I jumped up, grabbing my phone while quickly searching for a photo with my family.
Each one of them was just my mom, dad and I. No little brother. With the time we have together, I never had a little brother. It was always just three.
I lay back down, still not feeling great after what I had dreamed. Maybe I dreamed that because I was watching the movie last night. That's probably why that happened.
My phone dinged, then went silent. I grabbed my phone. It was almost 8 in the night, which is why my room looked so dark because it was literally dark outside.
My phone was filled with friends and family trying to call me, or either messaging me back many times. I sighed, turning my phone around not wanting to deal with the many questions that I was going to get.
I got up, feeling drowsy but immediately feeling better after words. And I started making my way downstairs.
The house was silent and dark. Nobody else was in here except me and the many crickets around here.
I sat down, grabbed milk and cereal and started to golf it down. The cold milk went down my throat all the way to my stomach. I ate more.
"Calisa?" My parents looked at me, their heads crooked. My mom looked worried.
"Yeah?" I went back to eating my cereal, I wasn't about to let my parents stop me from finishing my cereal even though it wasn't morning.
My parents walked forward and sat across from me. "Why didn't you respond to us?"
I swallowed and I told them that I was watching a movie in the living room then went up to my room where I was using my computer and fell into a deep sleep.
"But I'm okay now, I couldn't sleep last night and I was up all morning."
My dad shook his head then softly laughed. "You should've sent us a message. Your mother here was freaking out and decided to end our date night early."
"Sorry." My mom relaxed then got up and hugged me.
She squeezed me harder then let go. "Are you okay?"
I nodded then continued eating. "I had a really strange dream that felt real…"
My dad chuckled, "I did too."
"When you're done eating, let's all hangout in the living room."
I nodded, finishing my cereal while my parents grabbed their own bowl of cereal. We just stayed there, talking and telling each other our dreams.
