Chapter 16: Erza's Dilemma

Erza smiled a toothy grin. She was glad to help me pack up; strangely. I had a feeling she was glad to go home. Or to see the guild at least. She picked up piles and piles of objects, and dumped them into the suitcases. The cabin had become empty. Nothing more than a bed frame and couch.
Levy had left earlier in search of a way of transportation, which Natsu wasn't entirely fond of. She had been gone for a couple of hours.
I didn't have much to pack, most of it being junk to throw out.
I didn't keep the crib, thinking it would be too much of a hassle. Most of the things we packed were Nashi's, all of mine was mostly junk. The things we did pack eventually made its way to Erza's giant pile of luggage.

Natsu stared endlessly down at the floor. He sat on the couch lost in a train of thought.
"Natsu?" I began, interrupting the awkward silence consuming the house. He perked up, his ears twitching.
"Yes?" He asked quickly.
"You O.K.?" I mumbled questionably. My voice low and innocent. "You've been peculiarly quiet for a while now."
He nodded getting to his feet to come over and sit once more beside me.
"Sorry. Just.... thinking..." Natsu eventually spoke.
"About what?" My tone mimicking a five year old. He sighed piercing his lips.
"About ice-pants child. He was born a couple months back." My eyes went wide.
"With who?" I blurted out. Erza snickered in front of us. She stood up straight, Nashi in hand.
"With who else?" She chuckled.
"So you mean Juvia's a Mom now?! Shoot! I missed it!" I screeched. Natsu laughed beside me.
"She did miss you. She tried so hard to get Warren to contact you, and he tried, but I guess he couldn't reach you."
"What's his name?"
"The child?"
"No, Warren." I said with a sarcastic tone. Natsu scoffed, shaking his head hysterically.
"The kids name is Storm. Which is strange coming from those two. I guess it suits him, but I don't know about his physical abilities yet."
"Why, is he fierce?"
"Oh he's a spitfire." Natsu leaned back, crossing his arms. "That kid doesn't take any time."
"Heh, sounds like Gray." I muttered as I looked down at my feet dangling off the side of the bed.

"Luce?"

"Yes?"

"Did you miss us?"

"How could you even ask that? Of course I did. Why wouldn't I."

"But if you did....why did you leave?"

"I.... guess I was scared."

"Of the guild?"

"Of their reaction."

"But why? You know we love you. We would be more than happy."

".....I guess...."

Erza's smile fell. A small expression of relief had overtaken her. She grinned looking down at her abdomen. 'It'll be fine.'

The door clicked as it closed, footsteps falling not far behind.
"The wagon is right outside." Levy informs. Erza turns and grabs the bags in one swift movement, grabbing them and heading out the door. Letting the luggage crash against its wooden frame.
Levy smiled awkwardly at the pair.
"I'm sorry if I interrupted anything." Levy confessed.
"You're fine." I reassured her before helping her carry things out as well, Natsu trailing not far behind.
The items were piled on top of the wagon, some inside of the cargo. Levy sat in the passenger seat beside Erza. Who gripped the reins firmly.
Natsu sat back beside me; holding onto Nashi with a death grip. His face fading and unpleasant green as soon as the wagon moved. I patted my lap for him to rest his head, him moving without hesitation. Nashi lay against his chest, her little pink head softly sleeping. Natsu's messy rosey hair lay softly on my thighs. He soon fell into a light slumber snoring alongside Nashi in a chorus.
I peered outside the window. Nervous for the awkward ride to come.

Erza's POV

"I don't feel like it would be right to just announce it as soon as Nashi's reveal. Lucy deserves the attention. She's been alone for so long." I ranted. Levy nodded in agreement. She thought thoroughly before continuing to speak.
"You'll have to do it soon though! You're nearly showing, no offense, but I don't think it would be a good idea to keep it in that long."
"But....I don't know. Jellal hardly stops by the guild anymore."I point out.
"I'm sure he'll be pleased to know."
I turned to glance through the wagons window for a split second, only to get a heart warming scene. The bunch were all asleep. Even little Nashi.
'She deserves this.' I couldn't help but think. The horses neigh caught me off guard immediately knocking me back into reality.
"If it will make you feel better, I'll do it too. It would probably be better to do them both at the same time instead of separate. It'll help the guild understand and I guess it will help ourselves as well."
I nodded. A somber expression masking my once bubbly one.

The ride was short and bumpy. The family in the back hardly making a peep. I opened the wagons door slowly, trying not to wake them up. I stepped into the wagons cabin quietly, shaking the couple awake. I picked up Nashi into my arms, only to give her back to a grouchy Natsu.
You could hear the guilds ruckus from outside. Multiple voices were roaring loudly. I stepped out of the wagon to clear a path for Natsu. He immediately turned around to help Lucy down with a smile. Which he got one in return.
"Are you ready?" He asked with his signature grin.
"As I'll ever be..."
