Is there really a God?

Luke backed away slowly. He wasn't sure what to do. He wanted to save Madison more than anything, but he didn't want to die. He glanced over at Madison who had placed her hands over her face. The door fell off its hinges as three other men with guns stormed through the room. Luke struggled to get free from their hands as they grabbed him and Noah. The one in front of Luke walked with his gun and slammed Luke against the wall.

"Luke!" Madison shrilled. The man walked slowly over to her.

"Shhh." He placed his finger over her mouth and grinned a deceiving grin. She shivered and wrapped her hands around her bleeding body.

"You can't do anything." She said confidently. "Our God is with us wherever we go. I've learned that from past experience and there's nothing you can do to change my mind."

Luke nodded, "She's right. You can't do anything."

The man ran over and his gun fired. Luke fell to the ground and Madison screamed.

"What is your 'god' going to do now?" He said smirking. He waved for the other men to go outside. He spoke another language as Noah shivered. Madison shook and looked out the window. Elizabeth laid still by the river with the moon light reflecting off the river and onto her body. She then looked over at Luke. He slid up the wall, holding his arm. His brown hair covered his eyebrows and the tips of his eyes. Three men walked out the door holding Noah and they ran down the steps and into the forest. Madison sunk her head into her knees. So many things were happening at once it felt like a nightmare.

"I am Abrafo." The man said walking up to Luke. "My name means executioner and I am your god."

"No you're not." Luke said walking in the opposite direction of him.

"Yes I am!" The man said, ripping off Luke's shirt. "And if you don't admit it, I will kill you. I am your god and your only god. Admit it." He cocked the gun again and placed it on Luke's forehead.

- In the Forest -
Noah walked blindfolded, tripping over every stone or twig in the way.

"Hurry up old man." Said the guy in front of him, pulling him forwards. Noah could only see the glimmer of their torches through his blindfold.

Ten minuets later or what seemed like an hour for Noah, they reached an opening. The men ripped the blindfold off causing Noah to stumble. He looked up and gasped. The camp was full of soldiers. The women were tied in a circle around the oak tree with soldiers surrounding them. The children circled around the campfire shivering. Noah's heart ached. Why would God let bad things happen to such good people? Noah didn't want to admit it, but he was starting to doubt God.
