Chapter 19: Clash

Kaizer: Ah right….the brat himself, Blue Light

Blue: So, you were hiding as a Noxus Solider this whole time?

Kaizer: I was, had to infiltrate one of the strongest military factions for fun. Now what do you want?

Blue returned his hat and mask to their rightful places, the familiarity of Kaizer reigniting a fire within him. He felt a rush of emotions, memories flooding back to his time in his village.

Blue: My Mother sent me…..to kill you!

Kaizer's eyes widened, then narrowed, his expression shifting from surprise to amusement.

Kaizer: So, the little kid has grown a backbone. How quaint. But do you really think you can take me on? You may be her son, but you’re still just a kid playing dress-up.

Blue: You don’t know me, I’ve trained, I’ve fought, and I’m ready to end this.

Kaizer: End what? The little feud between us? You’re a child. You can’t possibly understand the consequences of what you’re asking. It hasn't been that long, and yet you think you can take on....me?

Blue: Don't worry, I know exactly what I’m asking for

Kaizer: And what are you asking for?

Blue: Your head

Kaizer: Such aggressive behaviour, why would you resort to murder?

Blue: Murder? It isn't murder if you're going to die for a good reason.......you killed my Mother! You killed everyone in that village! It's destroyed because of you! My Little Sister is gone.....because of YOU!

Kaizer: Such righteous anger! But anger won’t win this fight. You’re still outmatched.

Blue: Then let’s find out who is the fraud

With that, he launched himself at Kaizer, drawing Umbra and swinging it with all his might. Kaizer reacted instinctively, ducking under the strike and drawing his own blade, a wicked-looking sword that gleamed in the dappled sunlight.

Their weapons clashed, the sound ringing out through the forest, echoing the tension of their confrontation. Kaizer moved with speed, parrying Blue’s strikes and countering with precision.

But Blue was relentless, channeling every lesson his Mother had taught him, every moment of training he had endured before her death, and after. He could feel the heat of the battle coursing through his veins, fueling his vengeance.

Kaizer: Not bad, brat. But you’re still just a boy. You can’t hope to win against someone like me!

Blue: You’re wrong, I'll kill you right now if I have to!

With renewed determination, Blue pressed forward, drawing on every ounce of his strength as he fought against Kaizer.

The forest around them seemed to fade, the sounds of the ongoing battle dimming in comparison to the clash of their weapons.

Kaizer. Enough of this!

Kaizer launched a powerful strike aimed at Blue’s midsection. But Blue was ready, dodging to the side and using the momentum to spin around, bringing Umbra down in a swift arc.

The blade connected, slicing through the air with a resounding crack. Kaizer barely managed to block, the force of the impact pushing him back. Blue could see the shock on his opponent’s face.

Kaizer: Maybe you’re not as weak as I thought, you actually have a set of skills. But don’t think for a second that this will end here.

Blue: Maybe not, but I'll find you....and I'll kill you

As the two continued their battle, the outcome seemed uncertain, but one thing was clear. Blue was no longer just a boy hiding behind a mask....he was becoming a warrior in his own right, fueled by the desire to get revenge for Kaizer's crimes against his village.

Blue and Kaizer's swords clashed again, their blades created a small shockwave as they battled. The intensity of the fight had shifted, Kaizer was no longer fighting with wild aggression, but with calculated precision.

His initial confidence had subsided, replaced with a focus that made Blue work harder for every strike and every block.

Blue, however, welcomed the challenge. He had been waiting for this moment for so long, and now that it had finally arrived, he wasn’t going to let it slip through his fingers.

His movements became sharper, more refined, every block and counter executed with the precision of someone who had trained tirelessly for this confrontation.

Kaizer was strong, but Blue had held back for too long. He had faced opponents like Katarina earlier, she was fast and lethal.

Could he have beaten her if he unleashed his full strength? He wasn't sure, but part of him believed he could have a chance.

Sylas, though, was another story. That fight had shown him his limits. Sylas was a force unlike anything he’d encountered, and Blue had struggled, barely scraping by in their clash despite the success he had.

But as Kaizer swung his sword with deadly intent, Blue knew that those past battles had prepared him, pushing him to the edge of his skill set that he hadn't revealed fully yet until now.

And there was more to Blue now, more that he hadn’t shown anyone. He wasn’t ready to reveal that part of himself just yet. It was still a risk, and he hadn’t fully tested it.

For now, he would keep fighting at the pace he had set, relying on his skill, his training, and the strength he had already mastered.

Kaizer’s strikes grew more intricate, each one forcing Blue to react faster, more precisely. The man’s eyes glowed with a mixture of amusement and something darker, an almost predatory enjoyment of the challenge.

Blue could feel Kaizer testing him, pushing him to his limits, as if this was some kind of twisted game.

Kaizer: Not bad, Blue, I can see you’ve been training. But you’re still holding back.

Blue: I'm surprised you remember my name

Kaizer: How can I forget? Right before I left, you said your name and declared me dead on sight when we would see each other again

Blue: And that's about to happen!

Umbra flashed in the air as Blue parried another strike, the force of it vibrating through his arms. He was holding back, but only because he didn’t want to show his hand too soon.

There was more power inside him, something untapped, but this wasn’t the moment to unleash it. Kaizer’s movements became more precise, as though he had finally shed the pretense of anger and now fought with a clear head.

He moved like a predator stalking its prey, his strikes sharp and methodical. Blue adjusted his stance, shifting his weight to keep up with the sudden change in Kaizer’s approach.

Blue: So what’s your deal, Kaizer? You don’t fight like a Noxian, and you're definitely not one yourself. Why are you hiding with them?

Kaizer: You’ve noticed, huh? Smart kid. Let’s just say Noxus provides...certain opportunities.

Blue narrowed his eyes, pushing Kaizer back with a sudden burst of strength. The answer didn’t sit right with him. Kaizer didn’t belong in Noxus; that much was clear from the way he fought.

There was no brutal, overwhelming force like the Noxian soldiers, no blind allegiance. Kaizer was something else entirely.

Blue: Opportunities? For what? You don’t look like the loyalist type, you're more of an individual

Umbra slices through the air as Blue launched into another series of attacks, pushing Kaizer to his limits now. Kaizer blocked and countered, though with more difficulty than before.

Kaizer: Let’s just say I like to blend in and do my own thing. I don't care about Noxus, but I see a pathway for myself

Blue’s grip tightened on Umbra, his eyes never leaving Kaizer’s. The man was dodging the question, and it irritated him.

But more than that, Blue could feel the weight of the moment, the understanding that this fight was just the beginning.

Blue: I don't know, that sounds kind of risky

Kaizer: Noxus is just a means to an end, Blue. I don’t care about their conquest or their ideals. I care about power. Real power.

Blue decided to keep his cards close to his chest for now. He could feel the energy pulsing inside him, the dormant power he had yet to fully explore.

If Kaizer pushed him too far, he might have to reveal it, but not yet. Not unless it was absolutely necessary. For now, he would keep fighting at this level, conserving his strength.

He swung Umbra in a wide arc, clashing with Kaizer’s blade again, the impact sending a shockwave through the ground.

Kaizer was good, better than most. But Blue had waited for this moment for too long to let him slip away.

Blue: Why don't you make this a bit easier and just die?

Kaizer: Because that would be boring, I can't let you, out of all people, kill me

Blue and Kaizer continued their duel, their blades locked in a tense stalemate. Blue could feel the heat of the battle radiating off him, each moment stretching out as they pushed against one another.

Kaizer’s eyes glinted with a mixture of amusement and condescension, a predator enjoying the thrill of the hunt.

Kaizer: Here is my question. Why don’t you just give up this pointless objective? You’re just a boy playing with swords, and I’m not here to babysit you.

Blue: I will never stop until your body is headless

Kaizer: You really still think you can kill me? How cute.

He suddenly kicked back, breaking their blade lock with a swift motion that sent Blue staggering backward, barely keeping his footing.

Kaizer: You’re an amateur at fighting, you do realise that?

Blue: Maybe, but being unorthodox seems to work. Especially in the fights I've been in

Kaizer: Maybe so, but it will only take you so far!

Kaizer lunged forward again, his blade flashing dangerously close as Blue barely managed to dodge to the side. With each passing moment, Blue felt his adrenaline coursing through him.

Kaizer was right; he wasn’t a seasoned fighter like Irelia or Akali. He had learned from his Mother, from experience, and from watching the battles around him. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t hold his own.

He had surprises, tricks that Kaizer wasn’t expecting, and he would use them to his advantage.

Kaizer: Why are you so hell-bent on this? You think your Mother’s ghost is going to come back and reward you for this? You’re chasing shadows, Blue.

Blue parried Kaizer’s next strike and followed up with a quick thrust of his own.

Blue: It's not about a reward, it's about peace. Once you're out of the way, I can do what I want......and go home in relief

Kaizer: Go home? There is nothing left back home!

Blue: I know.....and that goes the same for me

Kaizer: What the hell are you talking about?

Blue: You don't have to worry, you'll be dead by then

With newfound resolve, Blue charged forward, launching into a flurry of unorthodox strikes. Kaizer was quick to react, but Blue’s unpredictability kept him on edge.

He danced around Kaizer’s blade, ducking and weaving, his footwork a chaotic rhythm that seemed almost instinctual. Kaizer’s expression shifted from amusement to concentration.

Kaizer: You might have some talent, but it’s not enough. You’ll tire yourself out before you land a single hit on me.

Blue: We'll just have to see about that!

The sound of their blades clashing echoed through the forest as the two warriors fought. Blue realised that he had to rely on more than just skill, he needed to be clever, to outthink Kaizer rather than simply outfight him.

Every movement mattered, every breath could lead to victory or defeat. And so Blue suddenly switched tactics, feinting left and then darting right, catching Kaizer off guard.

He aimed a swift strike at Kaizer’s unprotected side, but Kaizer reacted with lightning speed, blocking the blow and countering with a kick that sent Blue stumbling backward once more.

Kaizer: See? That’s what I mean about being an amateur,. You have spirit, kid, I won't deny that, but spirit alone won’t win a fight.

Blue: Not going to lie, you might be right. But I'm very good at my job of improvisation

As the battle raged on, Blue could feel the fire within him growing stronger. He might not have the years of experience, but he had something that Kaizer underestimated, his drive for vengeance.

And as long as he had that, he would keep fighting, keep pushing forward, no matter what obstacles lay ahead.

He was going to kill Kaizer, even if he has to lose an arm or a leg.

After a hard clash, the force of Blue and Kaizer's blades colliding sent both weapons flying from their hands. Blue’s katana, Umbra, spun through the air, landing a few feet away, while Kaizer’s sword embedded itself into the ground.

They stood frozen for a split second, both warriors realising what had happened, before instinct took over. Neither hesitated; they dove at each other, fists raised, ready to fight hand-to-hand.

Kaizer lunged first, his power-packed punch aimed directly at Blue’s face. Blue quickly ducked under it, feeling the force of the blow as it whistled past his ear.

Kaizer’s fighting style was aggressive, relying on sheer power, brute force, and the overwhelming weight behind each strike. But Blue’s approach was different, he was faster, more precise, calculating his movements with care.

Kaizer pressed the attack, throwing a barrage of punches and kicks, each one coming with deadly intent. Blue dodged and weaved, narrowly avoiding most of Kaizer’s strikes, but the sheer ferocity of the onslaught kept him on the defensive.

Kaizer’s fists slammed into the air where Blue’s head had been moments before, and his kicks whistled past Blue’s ribs, barely missing their target.

Despite Kaizer’s strength, Blue knew how to work his speed to his advantage. He waited for the right moment, then retaliated with a quick jab to Kaizer’s side, a precise strike that made the older fighter wince.

Blue followed up with a knee aimed at Kaizer’s stomach, but Kaizer blocked it just in time, grabbing Blue by the leg and twisting him off balance. Blue hit the ground hard but rolled away, springing back up to his feet almost instantly.

He breathed heavily, but his eyes were sharp, focused. He could see Kaizer was skilled, a more powerful fighter than most he’d faced before. But power alone wasn’t everything.

Kaizer advanced again, throwing another heavy punch aimed at Blue’s chest. This time, Blue sidestepped it at the last moment and countered with a swift elbow to Kaizer’s jaw.

Kaizer staggered back, his hand instinctively going to his face, but he recovered quickly. His eyes glowed with fury as he lunged at Blue once more, but Blue was ready.

Blue’s style was more refined, relying on speed and accuracy rather than brute force. He danced around Kaizer’s attacks, landing quick strikes to the ribs, the arms, and the stomach, never staying in one place long enough for Kaizer to land a solid hit.

Blue’s movements were fluid, almost graceful, his fists connecting with precision. But each time Kaizer retaliated, the sheer force behind his blows shook Blue, even if they didn’t land directly.

For a moment, they seemed evenly matched, Kaizer’s raw power versus Blue’s agility and accuracy. But slowly, Blue began to edge ahead. His strikes were more precise, calculated to wear Kaizer down.

He could see Kaizer’s frustration growing with each passing second, his attacks becoming more erratic as he struggled to keep up with Blue’s speed.

Kaizer swung wildly, his fist aimed at Blue’s head, but Blue ducked low and delivered a sharp uppercut to Kaizer’s jaw.

The impact knocked Kaizer back, and before he could recover, Blue followed up with a series of rapid punches to his torso, each one hitting its mark with brutal accuracy.

Kaizer grunted in pain, trying to regain his footing, but Blue wasn’t giving him the chance. He dodged another of Kaizer’s powerful kicks, slipped around him, and slammed his elbow into Kaizer’s back, sending him stumbling forward.

Blue: Do you still doubt me?

Kaizer straightened up, wiping a trickle of blood from his lip. He looked at Blue with a mixture of respect and anger, his eyes burning with intensity.

Kaizer: You’re better than I thought, but don’t get cocky, kid.

With a sudden burst of energy, Kaizer rushed at Blue, catching him off guard. He tackled Blue to the ground, pinning him down with his weight, his fists raining down in a furious barrage.

Blue winced as he blocked the blows with his forearms, feeling the raw strength behind each hit. But he wasn’t out of tricks yet.

Blue shifted his weight, using his legs to kick Kaizer off of him. As Kaizer stumbled back, Blue flipped to his feet, ready to continue the fight. His eyes narrowed as he analyzed Kaizer’s stance.

Kaizer was breathing harder now, his attacks less controlled, while Blue’s quick, precise movements were beginning to wear him down.

Kaizer charged again, but this time Blue was ready. He sidestepped the attack and spun, delivering a roundhouse kick to Kaizer’s ribs, sending him sprawling to the ground.

Blue didn’t waste any time, he leaped onto Kaizer, pinning him down in a similar fashion, and aimed a punch directly at Kaizer’s face.

Kaizer blocked it with one arm and grabbed Blue’s wrist with the other, trying to twist him off, but Blue used his free hand to strike Kaizer in the side again, forcing a grunt of pain from him.

They rolled on the ground, both trying to gain the upper hand, their movements a blur of fists, knees, and elbows.

It was clear now that Blue had the edge. His speed, his precision, and his adaptability were proving too much for Kaizer’s brute force.

Even though Kaizer was stronger, Blue’s careful strikes and quick counters were wearing him down, piece by piece. As they both pushed themselves to the limit, Blue’s mind raced. He knew he couldn’t let this drag on much longer.

Kaizer was dangerous, and even though he had the upper hand now, one mistake could cost him everything. He had to end this soon, and he had to be smart about it.

Kaizer lunged at Blue, his fist poised to strike, but Blue sidestepped just in time, narrowly avoiding the incoming attack. However, Kaizer's foot swept low and connected with Blue's side, sending him tumbling to the ground.

Gritting his teeth, Blue quickly regained his footing and countered with a swift hook over the top, his fist connecting with Kaizer's jaw, stunning him momentarily.

Taking advantage of the opening, Blue jumped back, ready to unsheathe his other katana. He could feel the adrenaline coursing through his veins, heightening his senses as he prepared for the next phase of their battle.

Just as Kaizer recovered and leaped at him, sword drawn, a loud gunshot rang out, echoing through the trees. Kaizer stumbled back, narrowly missing Blue, as he instinctively glanced toward the sound.

Blue: What the?

Blue's eyes widened slightly, and his hand moved away from his second katana. Adam appeared at the edge of the clearing, his Enforcer rifle still raised and smoke drifting from the barrel.

Adam: Hey! Back off!

Kaizer, realising the odds had shifted, cursed under his breath. He knew he could take both boys, but time was not on his side.

With a motion of his hand, he conjured a spell, the air around him crackling with energy, and vanished in a swirl of dark magic.

Adam: Hey! Who the hell was that?

Adam lowers his weapon and looks between Blue and the spot where Kaizer had been. Blue sighed, his frustration noticable

Blue: Remember how I said I was looking for someone to kill?

Adam: Yeah...wait....that was him?!

Blue: Yes, he was hiding as a Noxus Soldier.

Adam: Damn....you seem.....angry, ticked off completely. And it can't be just because that guy got away.

Blue's jaw clenched, and he took a moment to compose himself, his gaze drifting to the ground as memories threatened to resurface.

Blue: Adam....there is a reason why I refer to myself as a Lonely Traveller....

Adam: You mean that title wasn't just for normal things?

Blue: No, I got that title as soon as I began my journey to track down that man. His name is Kaizer.

Adam: I see...but there’s a bigger picture to all of this...right?

Blue took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the truth settle heavily in the air.

Blue: Yeah...I called myself a "Lonely Traveller".....because I’m the sole survivor of my village.

Silence hung between them as the implications sank in. Adam’s expression shifted to one of understanding and slight shock, a realisation dawning on him.

Adam: So....you’re not just hunting him for revenge; you’re trying to uncover the truth about what happened...and make things right.

Blue: No, just revenge. It's obvious that he killed everyone, and so I want my getback.

As Blue and Adam continued walking through the dense Ionian forest, the tension between them thickened. Adam, still processing what he had just learned, couldn’t let the silence sit any longer.

Adam: Alright, so what were you going to do...after? I mean, when Kaizer is killed...what then?

Blue walked in silence for a moment, his face hidden behind his mask and hat as always. His steps slowed, his mind seeming to churn through memories he’d tried to suppress for so long.

Blue: Go home, of course, I've done what I need to do then

Adam: Yeah, you did mention that. But now that I know....that your family or village isn’t waiting for you....you're going to have to clarify more about what that means.

Blue stayed quiet, his pace unchanging.

Adam: Answer me dammit! What were you really going to do in a village wasted by this guy? What are you planning?

Blue let out a low, humorless chuckle, glancing at Adam briefly.

Blue: It’s funny how you care right now despite our multiple disputes.

Adam: Yeah, you can be a real pain with your child-like demeanor, always making things a joke. But at the end of the day…I'm still an Enforcer, Blue. I care about people. So tell me, what were you going to do when you got back to a place that no longer exists?

Blue slowed to a stop, a heavy silence falling over them again. He turned towards Adam, and for the first time, Blue slowly pulled down the mask that covered his mouth.

Adam blinked, his eyes widening slightly, realising he was seeing Blue’s full face for the first time. It wasn’t just the mask coming down, it was Blue letting down his guard, revealing a truth he hadn’t shared with anyone.

Blue: I was going to go back…

Blue’s voice was quiet but steady, his eyes dark with a sadness that Adam had never seen in him before during their conversations.

Blue:.....And kill myself.

Adam, despite having a sinking feeling about Blue’s intentions, was still taken aback by the bluntness of the confession. He stood there, momentarily speechless, as the gravity of Blue’s words settled in.

Adam: So.....that’s what you meant, back then...when you said you were going back home to ‘reunite’ with your Mother…

Blue: Yeah.....

Adam:....Are you….still thinking about it?

Blue didn’t answer immediately. His gaze shifted away, looking off into the distance, where the forest continued, and where the echoes of battle still rumbled faintly.

He pulled his mask back up, hiding his face once more, but Adam could sense the answer, even without words.

The silence was heavy, and Adam knew that Blue was still planning to follow through with his grim decision once his vengeance was complete. He clenched his fists, frustrated but also unsure of how to approach this fragile moment.

Adam: Blue, you.....you can’t think like that, man. I get it, you’ve been through hell, but you’ve got something to live for, even if it doesn’t feel like it now. This journey....it can’t just end with revenge and death

Blue stayed silent, his expression unreadable behind the mask, but Adam wasn’t giving up.

Adam: You’ve got people who care about you. Seraphine, Ahri, Akali.....even I do, in a way. We’re not just gonna let you throw your life away after all this. I don’t know what’s waiting for you when you catch up to Kaizer, but I’ll be damned if I let you give up on everything after.

Blue shifted slightly, his eyes meeting Adam’s for a brief moment.

Blue: I appreciate that, Adam.....

They stood in silence once again, the air heavy between them. Adam’s words hung in the air, but whether or not they had reached Blue, he couldn’t tell.

All he could do now was stand by him as they moved forward, both into the battle that awaited and into the uncertainty of what lay beyond Blue’s vengeance.

Adam: Come on, we’ve still got a fight to finish if we're unlucky

Blue didn’t respond verbally, but he fell in step beside Adam, his steps resolute, yet his mind likely still wrestling with the weight of his decision.

For now, they pushed on together, because Adam wasn’t going to let Blue face that darkness alone. Not if he had anything to say about it.

Blue and Adam made their way back through the forest, the sounds of battle gradually fading behind them. The chaos had subsided as Noxus forces had officially retreated from Ionia, leaving behind a battered but resolute group of defenders.

As they neared the clearing where Ahri, Akali, Xayah, and Irelia were regrouping, Adam cast a sidelong glance at Blue.

His face was once again hidden behind his mask, but the tension in his posture hadn’t eased since his confrontation with Kaizer. When they arrived, Akali was pacing, clearly frustrated.

Akali: Damn it, I can’t believe we didn’t take down Jhin. I swear he’s the most frustrating bastard I’ve ever fought.

Ahri placed a calming hand on Akali’s shoulder.

Ahri: I know, but at least Ionia’s safe for now. He’ll show up again, and we’ll deal with him when the time comes.

Xayah: Noxus is gone, but only for a few days at best. We’re going to need to stay vigilant.

As the two boys approached, Ahri’s eyes softened, noticing Blue’s return.

Ahri: So where did you run off to?

Akali: Yeah, you just ran off after the fight. What happened?

Blue sighed, feeling the weight of their questions, but he wasn’t ready to lay everything bare.

Blue: I was fighting someone personal to me.

Ahri and Akali exchanged a look, already putting the pieces together. They had known for a while now that Blue was chasing someone...someone he wanted dead. They just didn’t know who.

Akali, ever the blunt one, tilted her head.

Akali: So, you found him, didn’t you? The one you’ve been looking for?

Blue nodded, but said nothing more. He could see the curiosity in their eyes, but he wasn’t ready to share that part of his story. Not yet. Not with all of them.

Irelia stepped forward, her sharp gaze studying him.

Irelia: There’s something different about you, Blue. You seem…heavier, like something’s weighing on you.

Xayah: Yeah, even I can see it. You’ve got that look in your eyes, like you’ve seen something that’s going to stick with you.

Blue remained silent, unwilling to open up further. Adam, sensing the tension, cleared his throat and stepped in.

Adam: Let’s just say it wasn’t exactly an easy fight for him. He’s fine, but...we all know he’s got some unfinished business.

The group fell into an uneasy silence, understanding that this wasn’t the time to pry any further. Ahri, always empathetic, reached out and gently placed a hand on Blue’s arm.

Ahri: Whenever you’re ready, we’re here to listen. But if not, we’ll trust you to handle it your way.

Blue gave a small nod of appreciation, though his thoughts remained distant, Xayah was wondering why Blue was even looking for a specific person in the first place.

Akali broke the tension, running a hand through her hair and letting out a deep breath.

Akali: Well, at least we pushed them back. Ionia’s safe....for now.

Irelia: We’re going to need to stay on high alert. Noxus won’t stay away for long, and there are still threats within Ionia itself, like Jhin.

Xayah: Agreed, I’ll be ready next time for when that bastard shows up

The group stood in quiet agreement, knowing that despite their victory today, the war with Noxus was far from over.

As they began to discuss their next steps, Blue stood a little apart, his mind drifting back to the fight with Kaizer. Adam’s words still echoed in his mind, but he pushed them aside, focusing instead on the task ahead.

He wasn’t done yet. Not with Kaizer. Not with his mission.

For now, though, he would stay by his allies’ side....until the time came to settle his past once and for all.

After the battle, the group made their way back to the capital of Ionia, where a grand feast awaited them in celebration of their victory.

The city streets were alive with the sounds of music and laughter, the joy of the Ionians palpable as they basked in their temporary peace.

Lanterns were strung across the streets, casting a warm glow over the gathering crowds.

As they walked, Xayah held back from joining the others. Blue noticed her lingering and slowed his pace, eventually falling in step beside her.

The others continued ahead, caught up in conversation and the anticipation of the feast, leaving the two alone for a moment.

Xayah: You know, something’s been bothering me since we fought together. I don’t know you that well, but…something about you feels off.

Blue tensed slightly but kept his expression neutral. He had expected this. Xayah was perceptive, especially given her respect for his Mother. She could sense something beneath the surface.

Blue: I’m fine, just tired, I guess. It’s been a long day.

Xayah narrowed her eyes slightly, not entirely convinced.

Xayah: Tired, huh? Maybe. But you’re holding something back. You don’t need to tell me what it is, but don’t think I can’t see it.

Blue remained silent, not wanting to reveal more than he had to. He knew Xayah’s respect for his Mother ran deep, and the last thing he wanted to do was tell her about his Mother’s death.

That was a wound he wasn’t ready to open, especially not now. Instead, he simply nodded.

Blue: Yeah, I guess I’m just not used to…all of this. I'm just a Lonely Traveller

Xayah studied him for a moment longer, her sharp gaze cutting through the facade. But after a beat, she relented with a sigh.

Xayah: Alright, I’ll let it go....for now. But don’t expect me to forget about it. We’ll talk again. Just….take care of yourself. I owe your Mother that much.

Blue felt a pang in his chest but managed a small smile.

Blue: Thank you, I will

Satisfied for now, Xayah gave him a curt nod and peeled away from the group, heading off to tend to her own business.

She had her own battles to fight, both in the war against Noxus and within herself. As Blue watched her go, he couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of gratitude.

Xayah may have been abrasive, but she had a heart, and her respect for his Mother only deepened the connection between them, even if she didn’t know the whole truth.

He took a deep breath and turned back toward the others, who were already well ahead. The sounds of celebration grew louder as he approached the grand gates of the capital’s main square.

Inside, long tables were set up, filled with food, drink, and Ionian delicacies he had never seen before. The air was thick with the scent of roasted meats, spiced vegetables, and sweet pastries.

Adam, Ahri, Akali, and Irelia were already seated, laughing and talking with the Ionian defenders and other warriors who had fought alongside them.

Ahri spotted Blue and waved him over with a warm smile.

Ahri: Blue! Come on, join us!

Blue smiled beneath his mask and made his way to the table, feeling a little lighter now that the conversation with Xayah was behind him.

He wasn’t ready to share his burdens with anyone else, but for tonight, he could allow himself to relax, at least for a little while.

Adam: You okay? Looked like Xayah had you cornered back there.

Blue: Hah, yeah, just some questions. Nothing I couldn’t handle despite my 4 brain cells

Adam: Well, you’d better get used to it. People are going to start asking more questions the longer we’re out here.

Blue: Let them ask. Doesn’t mean I have to answer.

Ahri leaned in with a teasing grin.

Ahri: Just don’t hide too much. You’re part of the team now, remember?

Blue: Nah, I'm still a Lonely Traveller

Blue smiled, a rare, genuine smile, though it was hidden behind his mask. For tonight, he could pretend everything was normal.

He could enjoy the company of these new friends and let the weight of his mission fall to the background. But in the back of his mind, he knew the fight with Kaizer wasn’t over.

Not yet.

For now, though, he pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the feast, allowing himself this brief moment of peace in a world that rarely gave him any.

Syndra stood atop the highest branch of a large, ancient Ionian tree, gazing down at the world below. The celebration of victory echoed faintly from the distant capital, but she had no interest in feasts or camaraderie.

The cool night air whispered through the leaves, making them shimmer in the moonlight. Her mind, however, was far from serene.

She closed her eyes, replaying the events of the battle, but her thoughts kept circling back to a particular figure....

That masked boy.

Syndra frowned to herself. There was something about him, something she couldn’t quite put into words, but it gnawed at her consciousness. He wasn’t like the others.

His aura was different, darker. While the others exuded a clear sense of purpose....whether it was protecting Ionia or fighting for personal vengeance.

Blue had an undercurrent that unsettled her.

Syndra: There’s something inside of him...something evil, his soul feels tainted

The thought made her uneasy, a strange reaction considering how accustomed she was to the concept of power, even the darker kinds.

She herself was no stranger to being feared, to wielding destructive forces with little care for consequences.

And yet....this boy.....there was something lurking beneath his calm, even playful demeanor that stirred something within her.

Her violet eyes narrowed as she recalled his interactions with the others, particularly the way he fought. It was only a glimpse, right before she arrived.

He was confident, skilled, but always holding something back. It was like he was shackled by an unseen force, keeping his true nature hidden.

Syndra was no stranger to this feeling; she had once been restrained, her power sealed away by those who feared her. But Blue’s restraint was different.

It felt more like a deliberate suppression, as if he feared what might happen if he let it out.

But it seems like he doesn't have magic....so what was it?

She opened her eyes, the dark magic she wielded flickering subtly in her fingers.

Syndra: If he keeps that hidden for too long, it will consume him.

There was an eerie certainty in her voice. She didn’t know the boy’s past, nor did she care much for his personal mission, but she could sense the growing tension inside him.

It was as though something sinister lay dormant, waiting for the right moment to break free. Something darker than mere vengeance.

Syndra knew the nature of power....how it could twist and corrupt if not mastered. And that masked boy was far from mastering it.

He carried it like a burden, a weight that dragged him down even when he tried to stand tall. Whatever he was hiding beneath that mask, whatever darkness he kept locked away, it would eventually come to light.

Of that, she was certain.

Her gaze shifted toward the horizon, where the capital city glowed faintly in the distance.

Syndra: He’s not like the others, not like those who fight with a clear purpose. His struggle is deeper, more dangerous.

Syndra smirked to herself.

Syndra: Perhaps I’ll watch him a little longer. See just how long he can keep that darkness hidden.

With a final glance toward the celebrating city, she leapt gracefully from the branch, her form disappearing into the shadows of the forest below, her mind already plotting her next move.

Blue Light, the masked boy, had caught her attention....and Syndra never let go of something that intrigued her.

Very long chapter to wrap up Arc 2!

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this Arc.

It really had a lot since it started from Demacia to now.

What do you think about the revelations about Blue?

His village was destroyed.

And he wants to kill himself?!

Damn!

Anyways, Arc 3 will probably be a big one.

Why?.....Noxus.....that's all I'm going to say.
