Chapter 12: Magic Vs Non-Magic
Blue: I see, I'm truly sorry, Sylas....that you had to go through that. You don't need to tell me about time in prison, because I know that torture was something you had to get used to
Sylas: It's okay, It was all in the past. But we still need to sort out this whole arrest situation.
Blue: You're right, because I don't want Demacia to hunt me.....
Sylas: Hmm, How about you two join me?
Luxanna: Sylas....
Sylas: Lux, we can build an army! Attack Demacia and kill that bastard Jarvan!
Luxanna: I'm from Demacia, Sylas! I-I can't just go through with this!
Sylas: Did you forget that I was born in Demacia? I'm an outcast, and you will be one when the nation finds out about your magic!
Luxanna: They won't!
Blue: Look, can't we just do something that doesn't involve fighting?
Sylas: Why? Are you afraid?
Blue: More like I try to avoid conflict as much as possible.
Sylas: That makes you weak
Blue: It actually doesn't. Look, how about we just go to Jarvan....and negotiate?
Sylas: Are you mad? He will have my head!
Blue: But....negotiations....okay look. Just come with us, don't make it difficult.
Sylas:....This....is going to be fun
Blue: What do you mean by that-?
Sylas chuckles and grabs Lux's wrist, her eyes widen and I was confused for a moment.
Blue: Wait a minute, he can absorb other's magic by-!
Yeah I'm not going to lie, that's on me. Sylas can absorb and replicate other magic by touching people. So when he grabbed Lux, he replicated her magic which looked like light magic or something.
Luxanna: Sylas no-!
Sylas blasts me through the tent and back into the snowy forest. My back hits a tree, and breaks it half, the top part of the tree was about to fall on top of me so I quickly roll to the side and get up.
Blue: Okay, negotiations have failed....time to use my "Special Negotiation Tactics"
I watch as Sylas runs over and takes out some shackles from his belt, he swings them towards me and I had to avoid each lash by stepping to the side. Everytime Sylas would swing, he would either get air or the ground in a slamming motion.
Sylas: You know, these are the same petricite shackles that bounded me in prison. Using these chains, I can expel magical energies absorbed through the petricite
Blue: Oh cool.....w-why are you telling me this?
Sylas: Because I'm going to wrap it around your neck....and break it!
Sylas stores a charge of Petricite Burst, and I already knew that he was going to hit hard if he were to connect those shackles onto me. His attack speed also increased so I can't stay laidback like I usually am.
Sylas: You know, when I was free from the authorities, I used my powers to destroy the Mageseeker compound and free the imprisoned mages to start a revolution against Demacia for their persecution of mages.
Sylas lashes his chains out, and I slip under before rolling to the side when he brings it down in a follow up attack.
Blue: Okay, I understand the motives, but why? You can't just move on and start a peace thing?
Sylas: Absolutely not! I wanted payback! So I led my new army to the royal castle, in order to capture King Jarvan III and publicly humiliate him!
I grab a tree piece that was destroyed and hurled it at Sylas, but he ends up destroying it easily. I didn't want to scrap completely, but if Sylas cannot listen to my words, then I'll gladly run the ones with him.
Sylas: But to my surprise, the King had already been killed before I arrived.
Blue: Wait what?
Sylas: You heard me. His son, who was known as Prince Jarvan IV, and the King you're currently working for.....blamed me and the mages for causing the death of his father. And so I decided to humiliate him instead!
Okay, Sylas has not calmed down, evident by the aggression of his attacks. So I take out Umbra and use it to defend myself against Sylas' attacks, and now I could see how powerful he was.
By the way his chains would crash against my guard, it felt as if Umbra was going to be knocked out of my hold, but my grip was good enough to keep it intact with my hands.
Blue: So what did you do?
Sylas: I tied Jarvan IV to a chair and forced him to eat a rat to reflect the terrible conditions experienced by the prisoners of the compound, but Lux came to stop me.
Blue: I'm not surprised after you made her feel guilty with that execution ting
Sylas: So you know about that?
Blue: Yeah, she told me. And I have to say, that wasn't very bing chilling of you
Sylas: W.....What?
Blue: You heard me, so how did you escape from that situation?
Sylas: Her magic was suppressed after she drank a petricite mixture, and then she shot a crossbow at me. The arrow stabbed me in the foot, so I released Jarvan.
Sylas lashes his chains at me again, and I block the attack, but then I felt myself slowing down. I was surprised, but kept my guard up until after a delay, magical energy explodes right in front of me, blasting me back across the snow.
Blue: He has tricks huh? Well tricks are for kids!
Sylas: The Dauntless Vanguard arrived in time, led by Lux's buffoon of a brother, Garen Crownguard. He grabbed an axe to strike me, and while I tried to fight back against him, Jarvan IV put me in a chokehold, all an attempt to avenge his father.
Blue: And let me guess, you were outnumbered?
Sylas: I'm powerful, but the Demacian army was arriving, so I told my allies to retreat into the sewers to escape Demacia. As I began to make my own escape, I could see the hate in Jarvan's eyes.
Sylas swings again, and I had to duck my head to avoid the shackles wrapping around my neck. I close the distance and kick Sylas in his chest, but it doesn't do much and he whips me with his weapon.
Sylas: Due to Jarvan IV blaming my revolution for the death of King Jarvan III, he enforced a zero-tolerance policy towards magic in Demacia!
I fly across the snowy ground, and got up to see that Sylas' shackles were about to crash onto me. I roll to the side as the shackles destroyed part of the ground, then I get up and distance myself from Sylas as he continues to rant at me.
Sylas: The innocent mages in Demacia were sentenced to merciless treatment by the Mageseekers!
He swing his shackles at me, but I move to the side, then I quickly jumped back when a magic explosion occurred in front of me.
Sylas: Out of desperation, some mages planned to flee Demacia to migrate to my camp so they would be safe. And you're trying to take that away!
Blue: I'm not! We didn't need to do this, but you're making it really hard, I might have to actually take you in!
Sylas: Just try it! You will die!
Luxanna: Sylas, stop!
Luxanna had caught up with us, and wanted Sylas to stop his assault on me. But that man did not seem to like me, like most people in Demacia.
Sylas: No! He plans to get me killed!
Blue: I'm trying to help you, actually.
Sylas: Your way of helping will benefit only you!
Blue: On paper yeah, but you told me your story, and I might be able to help you!
Sylas: No one will believe me, or you. Especially when I snap your neck!
Luxanna: Sylas, you have to stop this!
Sylas: It's too late, say goodbye to your friend....Lux, and be ready to welcome your new life into my cause
Luxanna: I-I do not consent to that!
Blue: Sylas, don't force me to try, because I sympathise with you. And I want to find the best solution for you
Sylas: There is no need, I already know the best solution for me!
Sylas swings once again and I deflect his chains with Umbra, I close the distance and tried to cut him with minor cuts, but he had good defence. He jumps back after I failed to harm him, and wraps the shackles around my ankle.
Blue: Ah Crapbaskets-!
Sylas lifts me in the air with his shackles, but before he could slam me down. Luxanna distracts Sylas with a small light blast that puts him off.
Sylas: L-Lux?!
Luxanna: Sorry Sylas, but you have to stop!
Acting quickly, I take the shackle off of my ankle and take hold of it. I swing it, and therefore Sylas, before letting go and watch as he is sent flying in the distance.
I land on my feet, and Lux runs over to me, worried.
Luxanna: Are you okay? He didn't hurt you, did he?
Blue: Me? Nah, I'm fine, he might be if he doesn't land on something hard
Luxanna: What do we do now?
Blue: I don't know, this was sort of your plan
Luxanna: Y-You're right, maybe we should talk to him a bit more. He might see reason...e-eventually
Blue: True, buuuuuut, I don't think he is going to listen at all
Luxanna: We have to try!
Blue: I'm not too sure, but I'll give it a go-!
Sylas: You must be weak if you need the help of a girl to save you!
Blue: Okay you know what? Screw the plan! We throwing hands!
Sylas had returned, and didn't want to listen at all. So I was ready to fight for real this time and ran at him, he did the same and a few seconds before we would clash.....
Two lights, one bright yellow and the other purple....came crashing down between the two of us.
Two massive shockwaves occurred as one figure had their sword out, blocking an attack from Umbra, while the purple light from before had prevented Sylas from moving with some sort of binding technique.
Both of us were shocked at this sudden intervention, but I seemed to be confused on who these two were.
Luxanna: T-That's Kayle!
Sylas: Morgana?
Morgana: Hello, Sylas
I stop applying pressure with Umbra and jump back, standing next to Lux while I sheathe my weapon. The woman who stopped my attack also returned to a neutral position while "Morgana" disabled her binding spell on Sylas.
Blue: Okay....two new people, Lux?
Luxanna: O-Oh right. They're the winged sisters, or winged protectors of Demacia.
Blue: So they're like legends?
Luxanna: Yep! And I can't believe we're meeting BOTH of them!
Blue: First Janna....and now these two? What is this luck?! Is it even luck? I didn't even want this attention! Maybe....I get lucky and they don't remember me after this!
Kayle: Don't worry, child. We won't be here for long, at least I won't.
Morgana: Are you going to go missing again?
Kayle: I'm going back to Targon, aren't you going to stay in the outlying wilds of Demacia?
Morgana: I am, but at least I am helping others. You're hiding out completely!
Kayle: And I have a reason for that, but let's stop this arguing. We have two rogues to deal with.
Morgana: What?
Luxanna: N-No! Lady Kayle!
Blue: Not again.....
Kayle: Is there a problem? Sister? These two were fighting on Demacian Soil, they must be punished for their conflict
Morgana: Kayle, you don't even know the story behind the conflict!
Kayle: They're trying to kill each other, if they continue, they'll reach Demacia with this type of aggression
Morgana: Let's see what the problem is first!
Kayle: Fine, but you have a minute to find out why or I will take matters in my own hands.
Luxanna: O-Oh no, how do we explain this?
Sylas: Oh easy, this fool right here-!
Blue: I'm going to have to interrupt you here. Because the truth is, you're a criminal that attacked me first for trying to help you hold peace talks between you and King Boi back there. I was also defending myself, not trying to kill you.....that is all
Luxanna: O-Oh...you summarised the right thing quickly
Blue: The mind of Blue Light can't be matched
Morgana: See, Sister?
Kayle: That still makes this one a problem
Sylas: You little brat! I'm going to-!
Sylas was ready to start round 2, but Kayle wasn't having any of that and knocked him out with the bottom of her sword. She looks over to me, and I could feel the glare, as if she was waiting for me to do something.
Blue: If you're thinking that I'm going to try and attack, you thought wrong. I'm just here for him so that I can convince the King that I'm not a magic user
Kayle: I don't sense any magic from you, so what is there to prove?
Blue: A lot when he didn't listen to what I had to say
Kayle: I see, then this should be compensation
Blue: That was the plan
Kayle doesn't say anything and leaves us by flying away, now it was just myself, Lux, Morgana and the unconscious Sylas.
Blue: So....we should get going
Luxanna: Right, thank you Lady Morgana
Morgana: That's okay, child. But are you sure this is wise?
Blue: To take him in? Yeah, otherwise King Jarvan will have my head. If I try to escape now, I'll be banned from Demacia which isn't cash money at all. I have friends here like Luxanna!
Luxanna: We tried to help him but he didn't want to listen as Blue explained before
Morgana: I see, when you take him, try to convince the King to not have Sylas executed
Blue: I'll see, I'm not sure if my negotiation skills will be on point.
Luxanna: I'll help you with that
Blue: Good, then we best get a move on. I don't want Jarvy Habibi to have second thoughts on my fate.
Morgana: Wait a minute....that sword....
Blue: Hmm? You mean Umbra?
Morgana: Yes, I sense a powerful source of magic inside of it
Blue: This was my Mother's sword, she hasn't said much about it other than it's served her well.
Morgana: Clearly she hasn't told you enough. I have an ability called Umbrakinesis, the majority of my magic is based on the manipulation of shadows.
Blue: And you're telling me this because?
Morgana: The same magic is inside of that sword
Blue: So your saying that I can control....shadows with Umbra?
Morgana: It's only a theory, but with the right amount of practice, you can possibly utilise it
Luxanna: Oh wow! That's amazing!
Blue: Yeah....not good for the area I'm in, but we move.
Morgana: Perhaps one day we can meet again, and I'll help you learn how to use that sword to it's potential
Blue: Oh...umm....okay.
Morgana: What is wrong? You won't seem keen on the idea
Blue: It's a great offer, I just didn't expect it from someone like you. Lux explained that you're a legend
Morgana: Don't think of it like that, I gave Sylas my blessing so I'm sure you would be fine if I helped you
Blue:.....Okay, I'll be looking forward to these lessons the next time we meet
Morgana: Then I'll take my leave
Morgana leaves like Kayle, through the air with her wings. I pick up Sylas, who despite being heavy, was not too bad to lift.
Luxanna: U-Umm, Blue? What do we do about the camp?
Blue: Honestly, not my problem
Luxanna: B-But-!
Blue: If you want to help them, go for it
Luxanna: I.....just umm.....
Blue: They might attack you, just saying. They'll realise that Sylas didn't come back from the fight
Luxanna: Oh fine, let's go back
Blue: Good, I don't know how long he will stay out for.
I start walking back to the main city of Demacia with Sylas on my shoulder, and Lux walking besides me. When we approached the main entrance of King Jarvan's domain, the guards at the front allowed us to walk through.
As soon as we entered the throne room, I threw Sylas to the ground, for everyone to see. The room was filled with the same people from before, and now they had faces of shock.
Blue: Hola Cabrons!
Vayne: Oh my God....
Quinn: He actually did it...
Garen: Impossible, how did you take him out?
Blue: What? You had zero faith in me? But still sent me on this death mission?
Jarvan: If you say you don't have magic, then you would've struggled no?
Blue: I have my own skills, and I had Lux to help me. I didn't need to out muscle him, I just had to catch him at the right time, make him think I'm weaker
Fiora: That's an alright gameplan
Jarvan: Fair enough, guards! Take this fool to the dungeons!
Blue: Oh yeah, don't kill him
Jarvan: And why not?
Blue: Because it would be a waste? You might learn some things from him, you know?
Jarvan:....Okay, fine. I'll comply with these terms....for now. But this is the last time that you can negotiate with me
Blue: Is it because I made it look easy with you?
Jarvan: Alright, that's it. Leave!
Blue: Bye Jarvy!
Jarvan: Don't test me!
I leave the room and quietly laugh to myself, Luxanna joins me but it wasn't just her. Quinn walks over with Fiora, Garen and Vayne, I turn to face them with my right eyebrow raised.
Fiora: Ahem....I would like to apologise
Blue: Apologise? For what?
Quinn: Branding you a criminal
Vayne: Calling for your execution
Blue: Hey, I said that you're okay Quinn, you were just following orders but knew that something was wrong
Quinn: Still, I should've done something
Fiora: You couldn't Quinn, we listen to the King because we fight for him
Garen:......
Luxanna:.....Brother
Garen: Tch, fine, I'm also sorry for causing you problems
Blue: Good to know, big guy
Vayne: Alright, I'm going to go, I've got things to do. Goodbye, Masked Kid
Blue: And goodbye to you too....uhh....what do you do again?
Vayne: I hunt monsters, so I better not find out you're one in disguise. I'd hate to kill you in the future
Blue: Don't worry, I'm only human (after all).
Vayne: Good
Vayne leaves and Fiora does the same, but not before leaving a final message for me.
Fiora: You did well, Blue Light. You showed great skill and Battle IQ in taking down Sylas.
Blue: Thank you, I aim to impress
I didn't really take down Sylas, but I was getting to him....I think.
Luxanna: You've gotten respect from everyone here, but before there was tension. How?
Blue: I'm going to be honest, I don't know
Quinn: Garen and King Jarvan probably don't like you as much
Garen: Hey!
Quinn: Don't try to deny it. Oh yeah, and Vayne did threaten you for the foreseeable future
Blue: Ah it is what it is
Garen: What are you going to do now?
Blue: Me? I'm going back to see Sona and her family, they're probably worried as hell right now
Luxanna: Oh yeah! Want me to take you there?
Blue: Sometimes I do tend to get lost, so yeah. I'm also going to be moving on, might go back to Piltover
Quinn: Well, I guess this is goodbye from me
Blue: Yeah, but you never know. We might encounter each other again
Quinn: I hope we do
Garen: I hope we don't see you again
Blue: I can say the same about you, big man.
I turn to leave the palace of King Jarvan, with Luxanna leading me back to Sona's house. On the way, Luxanna begins to talk to me, as she will go back immediately after escorting me.
Luxanna: So Blue, why Piltover again?
Blue: l don't know, I just feel like I should say hello to some friends. Maybe I might know some information about where to go after
Luxanna: For this person that you have to kill, right?
Blue: Yes, what are you going to do after this?
Luxanna: I'm going to be doing what I usually do, helping Demacia in any way I can
Blue: Then good luck with that
A few more minutes pass and I had finally arrived at Sona's home. We were by the gates, and Lux was ready to turn back.
Luxanna: Well, this is it
Blue: For now of course, I'll see you when.....well when I come back here
Luxanna: I hope that's soon. You're an interesting person to talk to, and it would be a shame if this was our last meeting
Blue: It won't, I'll come and visit when I get the chance
Luxanna: Then I'll be waiting.
Lux was about to leave, but she quickly kisses me on the side of my face. Her face was red, but she runs away without saying a word.
Blue: W.....What? That was strange, but I should move on....I've got a lot to tell everyone......
______________
3rd POV
______________
Blue enters the mansion after being let in by the maids, and immediately was engulfed in a big hug by Sona. Lord and Lady Buvelle walk in, shocked but happy that Blue was back safely.
The four sat down, and Blue had to explain everything about what happened. They were all mind blown at what the boy had to go through, especially when he had to fight a criminal like Sylas.....
Oh yes, he also told them about Kayle and Morgana.....safe to say they were shocked.
Barrett: Y-You met the twin sisters?!
Lestara: H-How?
Blue: I don't even know why, but it was a good thing they did because Sylas was a problem and they made my life easier.
Sona: "That's great, what do you want to do now?"
Blue: Well, I'm going to be resting up, then I'm leaving
Sona: "You're.....leaving?"
Blue: I have to, Sona. I'm not done with what I need to do, so I have to keep searching
Sona: "But I want you to stay......"
Blue: I know you do, but I promised my Mother that I would find this person for her
Lestara: If your Mother wants you to do this, then we shouldn't stop you.
Barrett: What will you do when you find this person?
Blue: That's for me to know, and no one else, sorry
Lestara: Oh that's quite alright dear. Have fun travelling and do be sure that you will visit us again
Blue: I'll see what the road ahead of me thinks. Actually.....now that I think about it, I don't have any money to pay for the airship
Everyone: ._.
Lestara: T-That is okay, I'll cover the fees. You want to go back to Piltover, correct?
Blue: Yes, tomorrow if you can find one
Barrett: We've got you covered, my boy
Blue: Thank you
[The Next Morning]
It was time for Blue to leave, he was at the drop off point for the airships and was waiting to board. With him was Sona, and only Sona as her parents were busy at the moment, but they did manage to say goodbye to Blue before he left the mansion.
Blue: Well, this is it. Our final meeting before I leave.
Sona: "Yes, I hope to meet you soon"
Blue: We will, I'll try my best to find who I'm looking for. Then I'll come and see you again.
Sona gives Blue one final hug, and it was a tight one, as she didn't want to let go of her new friend. Blue hugs back and pats her head before boarding the ship.
He turns around and waves at Sona who waves back, when the ship was out of sight, Sona turns back while Blue looks forward to the next chapter of his story.
Sona: "I hope to meet you again, Blue Light"
Blue: Demacia is done, I couldn't find him there so I have to look somewhere else. But first I need to take a bit of a break, so Piltover....I'm coming back!
